It's not my business from the political Angle you see the man Peter Obi but, I will continue to say the truth about him from a first hand observation of him from a close range.

INSECURITY : before Mr. Peter Obi came into office their was wild range of crimes committed within Anambra state Ranging from kidnapping for Rituals, Arm Robbery, killers for Hire, park touts and Mafias and other uncountable crimes. Instead of leaving this crimes in the hands of the police and her sister security units Mr. Obi took steps to Introduce Anambra security services(Anambra own local police) and Arm them to teeth with Guns and cars to go into the criminal gangs hide out and bring them to book,this helped to reduce criminal gangs in Anambra.

DEVELOPMENT WITH AWKA AS YARDSTICK: Before Obi came to power, their is only two hotels in Awka, which are Choice Hotel and another that I can't remember the name, their is no known joint in Awka. The only place we take girls to then was Coca-Cola joint inside unizik perm site where we buy food or burns for them with Coca-Cola. Before Obi came to power to find house to rent off Campus it's like going to war with Boko haram, I Remembered that my friend Stanley Nwadibia and I almost rented a zinc house which we planned to install air-condition to reduce the heat we will experience because we could not see available space in block houses in Awka but, within two to three years that Obi was in power he gave Ndi Anambra hope and our people start heading home to build in Awka, now we have many house to rent in Awka once you have your money. During his first two years Mr. Biggs and other top joints started opening branches in Awka and now Awka has many hotels before he left office,even many companies factories has started operations in awka.

Roads: Ndi Anambra will always be grateful for their son Nwabueze Ngige, I can remember then in government house Awka his lovely white mustache was a beautiful sight to behold, he built many Roads in Anambra but, We must also be grateful for Peter Obi for adding many Roads to the one that Ngige did, Mr. Obi did great in Rural Roads.

Education: The return of schools to the Original owners by Mr. Peter Obi produced a great turn around for the Educational sector in Anambra, schools owned by communities and churches where returned to them with finance coming from state governors office directly, the owners will take care of administration and day to day running of the school, you should see my Adazi Community secondary school and you will agree with Obi that the best people to run a school is the owners, very beautiful with Internet access provided by the state government. The Obi government built Anambra state University Igbarimm from scratch and developed this school with the state of art structures.

Healthcare: The Obi Government built first Anambra teaching hospital from scratch, this hospital is located in Enugu-Onitsha Express way Awka, Mr. Obi provided equipments for some church hospital to perform Open heart surgery so that Ndi Anambra will not spend big money going out of the country in search of Good health.

This are just some things that this guy did, if we start writing about all that Obi did we will need months to write it. We will talk about his cost cutting life styles which makes it possible to save billions for Ndi Anambra later.

no matter how they paint the truth it will always be truth, before 2004 Awka was a glorified village where one finds it hard to stay, to find basic amenities it's a war, Lawlessness was alfa and omega, criminality was a religion in onitsha where criminal gangs are the bishops and their boys the Parish priests, the Lords and Masters then was two Don's, one A Godfather(Chris Uba) and the Other his rival Don(Emeka Offor).

It was a few year after Obi came that Unizik SUG was able to host SUG night in Awka, before then it's was always outside Awka because you can't find a Good hotel to host SUG nights....it was such a shame then.

Great Giant I salute you. Your right it's was only three hotel in the whole Awka then namely Choice Hotel, Marble arch Hotel
and Tracy hotel. Whenever I browse through nairaland political forums I weep for the youths that takes kobos from the politicians to murder the person of Obi and I must do everything within my powers to educate fellow nairalanders on the man Obi and his political mind set. Long live Ngige, Obi and the present Governor for their vision for Ndi Anambra state.

It was also worthy of note to mention that from the judiciary pronouncement that brought Obi to power it was very clear that Chief Nwabueze Chris Ngige was never a Governor of Anambra state.

Since the peter obi dogs cant point to any legacy project done by obi for 8 years, they now resort to laying claim to other peoples projects.. The three hotels you mentioned were well functioning before obi became governor. Alex Ekwueme Square was started by Ngige, CBN was brough by soludo.. You people should tell us peter obis legacy projects for 8 years and not all these useless innuendos..

Nice write up Op. . Anambra was in total turmoil when obi took over the mantle of leadership in 2004. The state was in hand of few cabals who sworn with their life that nothing good will come out of the state. Thanks to Ngige who fought a good fight to liberate our great state, Kudos to Peter Obi for continuing from where Ngige stopped. Currently Obiano is not doing bad. Long live our great state.

Eke Awka Road was a single lane Road, it was called old Enugu onitsha express Road. Due to the heavy traffic on that Road Mr. Peter Obi dualized that Road,its within Awka Town just pick a bike and ask the bike man to take you to Eke Awka.

When obi came he declared AVS alongside MASSOB and NARTO illegal and invited soldier to flush them. There was widespread insecurity in Onitsha in 2006 and indeed the whole state. upper iweka became a den of robbers and soldier killed and maimed innocent people. More than 700 innocent people were killed which culminated in his impeachment. When he returned the insecurity continued and reached peak in 2009. Almost all the rich fled the state as a result of kidnapping and bank robbery. GUO, POKObros, pete edochie among many other prominent peopple were kidnapped under his watch. People conducted traditional marriage in lagos under him. He said it was political but only fools believed him 'cos federal govt then had no interest in the state to warrant such. I heard you say that Obi built teaching hospital from the scratch. You may think you are talking to fools. The teaching hospital has already been propposed for alor, ngige's home town. Yes, you may say it is hometown. But such proect reqiures a virgin territory in order get the required serenity and space for expantion. Obi cancelled the one in alor and went to Amaku general hospital, added few structures and called it teaching hospital. Is that what you mean by building from the scratch?

Do you know UNTH had to relocate from Enugu city to ituku-ozalla in order to get enough space expansion. But peter obi, in order to avoid undertaking a huge project, removed the project from alor and squized around 4 structure into amaku general hospital in a very congested area in Awka, and under a high tension cable. Today there is no room for expansion in that area and another government may be called upon to relocate it in the nearest future.

Obi failed. What stopped him for building it in another town or a town within the Awka capital territory. If you remove the old general hospital, only few structures remain there.

Again it is a insulting fallacy that 2 hotels were in Awka before he came. White view. Bankhil, desires, torist garden, marble arch, choice, tracy, cresent spring among many hotels where already there when he came. And many more where under construction. Only a failed uses private investment to judge his administration in Anambra unless he attracted it himself through MOU which Obiano is doing.
