FBN......My worst mistake in recent times.......3.07 minus 3.00=0.07 kobo.......if i sell off at 3.00,i will be losing 7 kobo plus brokerage fees........Let me wait and see if fcmb will come down to #1.00,then i will use the opportunity to balance the fbn loss..................My FBN is a sell from now going forward......i am not ready to paraborate within #3.00 region for months/years and no hope of good dividend at financial year end.

brov, what of the one you have been average down since August, as bolded below grin grin grin abi na only mouth you day come make here grin

@Peterichy......... i said it publicly that i have FBN which i bought at 3.45 and 3.48.............i have not sold them........... i still want to buy my last tranch in fbn but need to average down carefully this time around at a very low price...........you claimed you bought at 3.30.........if i succeed in buying fbn at between 2.50 and 3.00,i am better off than you..........i hope you will not tell us you sold your FBN at 4.00 this time around.

While registering with Meristem I tried to bargain the commission structure, I asked the lady who attended to me- Since you claim that your company is the best stockbroker in Nigeria, why is MorganC commission far cheaper than yours?
Her reply(in Igbo) really convinced me to settle with them;
''E bere ego; E bere akpa''
Meaning- When buying anything bagged, ''If the price is reduced, the bag is also reduced''.
I agree with you that MorganC might adjust their commission structure for proper management.

In fact my mind is almost settled on Meristem. Maybe by Friday I'll open an account there. Morgan, if they are serious can still make up even with their small commission

Sir, sometimes one of the worst we made as a trader/investor is to keep averaging down some worst stocks we supposed to disposed at the early stage by showing some weakness sign (The fact is real...the moment we don't listen to our GUT, we lose money). FCMB is far better than FBNH at the moment when you factor in their present result (Q2 2016) grin.

Time to move on!

Bros there is no going back to that decision.All i am waiting for is to see a pull back in fcmb between now and next week,i will even sell off my entire portfolio for fcmb and that will give me great and great volume and my dividend next year will enrich my pocket.

sorry sir,i am no more interested in fbn.i expected about #65 billion PAT..........With that result,Fbn is in a loooooong thing........sell yours and follow me now before it trades at #2.00.

Of course every opinion is highly respected but I don't think FCMB is worse than FBNH. Seriously. Though it would be wise to wait till FCMB Q3 is released before commenting further.

For me FBNH was the biggest mistake I made this year. Huge mistake. No need saying how much I lost there because of stubbornness. After loosing an amount more than the annual salary of maybe an entry level bank staff, I finally gave myself brain, and sold what was left. That was around August. It was then I realised that this year is not FBNH's year at all. Maybe after 1st QTR results next year...Maybe...

As bad as last year was, it's NPL is still rising this year by over 100% as at 3rd QTR! Thankfully it was able to make up with FX and fee and commission income if not...Although FCMB also has rising NPL which is why I said I'd rather wait till their QTR 3 is out before commenting but at least their Q2 results showed much higher PAT and EPS y-o-y...Unlike FBNH which declined y-o-y

Also right now paying good dividend is not their priority. Unlike FCMB that's likely to maintain a div yield of >=10%, FBNH is not likely to exceed 7% (i.e. at a SP above N3). Most of my portfolio had been in FBNH earlier in the year so I no enjoy dividend at all this year angry cry

Even analysts forecasts for both of them favours FCMB more than FBNH... FCMB SP also has more potential upside...For me o, for the next 3 to 6 months, FCMB >> FBNH Except maybe the price of FBNH fall below N2.50 cheesy or less sef...But hey I'm just a newbie so...
