Some people's basis for opposing President Muhammadu Buhari is that they are Igbo and he is from Katsina.

They have aligned themselves with organizations like IPOB and NigerDelta militants which they see as vehicles to execute their opposition.

However, there is an emerging trend that threatens the reality of people like this. It is the fact that the policies of President Muhammadu Buhari's government are beginning to favour the Southeast (Igbos). For example, Innoson is getting a $1 billion deal (https://www.nairaland.com/3424462/innoson-motors-signs-deal-china) and Aba bootmakers are getting contracts from the military (https://www.nairaland.com/3431809/army-orders-made-aba-boots).

Hence, bigoted Igbos are not finding it easy to antagonize these developments without being exposed as 'enemies of progress'.

It's patronizing insults like this that actually make Igbos wonder why we are tied to the hips with such nauseating Small thinkers with such very low expectations.

What is very very normal in other countries, like the army internally sourcing its needs, is now considered by small minded morons to be a special gift worth celebrating.

And, the government taking part in encouraging investment in a vital a Victor, something his predecessors did without fanfare, in now to be celebrated as a spacial gift to Igbos.

The op, doubt, has simply telegraphed his very very low expectations for the vagabonds in government.

@Op,
If these are the pinnacles of your expectations from government, then obviously, you and Igbos don't belong in the same universe, talkless of country.

Go away!! What an arrogant display of historic amnesia! Igbos rejected him twice when he had selected 2 Igbo sons -Okadigbo and Umezoke as his VP candidates. Instead Igbos voted for OBJ and Atiku ( Yoruba and Hausa) then voted for Ya'radua and GEJ( Hausa and SS).. all the while most people in the north and SW rejected him as well, so they were bigots until 2015?

Does the word 'some' mean anything to you? Especially when juxtaposed with the word 'all'.

People are entitled to dislike Buhari for whatever reason, I think. Better to have the guts to say "I don't like him cause he's from Katsina" then to pretend to dislike him for other reasons to not make yourself look bad.

However, you should understand that such Igbo ppl are in the minority. Most of us have no problem with Katsina or Kaduna or whatever, some of us were born there, live there, have our relations there, our best friends from there and marry there. And contrary to popular(?) opinion we don't hate the north/northerners. We just dislike Buhari and think he's unfit to be president for a myriad of reasons that have been said over and over.

OP, just don't get it twisted. We don't like Buhari, quite true, (all tho we dislike his supporters more than we even dislike him) but the last reason for that dislike is his state of origin.

You suffer a delusion.

A very small thinker like you deluding himself that he addresses Igbos on any national issue is the insult that I speak about.

I suggest you first remove the uncircumcised stick permanently stuck in your axx , before you look up, way way up to attempt to address any issues pertaining to Igbos.

I don't have a problem with Igbos, I just have a problem with those that are bigots to the point of odioum. It is necessary to address them at opportune moments like this.

You should first deal with the numerous muslim bigots in this country before bothering the Igbos, otherwise you'll come across as a bigot, too.

You suffer a delusion, a an opportune luxury of awarding yourself the elevated privilege of supposedly addressing Igbos on a public forum.

There is hardly anyone more bigoted than you on this public forum. Your religious intolerance and bigotry is a stuff of legends here on Nairaland.
So, just shut up and move along.

You have a very very long height to climb before you're competent to address any issues remotely Igbo.

Actually, Yar'adua did not run against a perceived 'son' of that region.

Muhammadu Buhari ran against a man perceived to be a 'son'.

Coupled with GEJ's divisive campaign, the bigots became emboldened.

So, your question cannot be placed properly in the context of this thread.

Well, I don't see Muslims opposing any politician to the degree that this group has on the basis of religion. If we find such a group, we can address them.

this has gotten beyond Igbos hating Buhari. Don't you think presently, almost all ethnic groups seem to dislike him because there's hunger in the land?
