Ibos are rejoicing because the slave master called them ni..ers. Slave owners place more worth on their dogs and treat it better than they do even their house slave. Ibo n.ig.gers are jubilating on the account of a cruel slave holder celebrating their value in the field. Chukwu okike abiamo!! |

Beautiful thread. The good niggers", obviously don't agree with the author, but that is to be expected. 70% of Igbos are not light skinned. Just about 20% are "truly" light skinned, the Rest falls within the spectrum of hues that lie between "truly light skinned" and "truly black skinned" . 2 Likes |

somegirl1: The proof for your claim is deficient in historical records or legacy left behind in cultural synergy of the American society where attributes comprise of donations from Yoruba, Italian, Irish, English, Hispanics, Dutch and Jewish customs. Point to me any deity, cuisine, fashion, worship or divinity assimilated from Ibo culture. The joke is bumped back to you! |

OPCNAIRALAND: You either have comprehension or memory problems or you're simply clutching at air to save face. This was your comment that I responded to: OPCNAIRALAND: I simply agreed with what you said and pointed out the article described Igbos as the very opposite of the emboldened. In case you missed it, See excerpt below. Joke is still on you. The "Eboe nigger," was from a fine open country, above the delta of the Niger,.........he was trusty, intelligent and industrious, but remarkable for an absolutely indomitable spirit, to which even the master must yield, when the Eboe was aroused, unless he should choose to shoot down the best slave on his plantation........ 2 Likes |

somegirl1: The narrative is given in the Ibo native land, the only one the author is familiar with. My response is a review of those qualities against the background where the stated Ibo qualities is genuinely available for inspection and reporting. No where is more proper than in the Americas. The indomitability of Ibo failed to show itself when faced with real life challenges that demands strength of character and physique. We see the strength of Yoruba in the Americas. Had the author visited the Yoruba native land as he did the Iboland he would not have reported Ibo in the positive. Prime evidence is for you to go and review two great narrators of the Southern peoples land and customs - Bascom, Lander. Joke is turned to you, shake it off! |

OPCNAIRALAND: You clearly don't know the meaning of or the correct use of the expression you borrowed from my post and keep echoing. You keep digressing. Based on the article, your initial comment was an epic fail. You proved the exact opposite of the point you were attempting to make. I'm sure you would agree with me, as anyone with a functional brain would, that if the article was a reading comprehension passage and you answered as you did, you'd have failed woefully. 3 Likes |
