In Mexico, they bear jesus but it's pronounced difftly and thr z only 1 CHRIST. Dat I can say no1 dare bears it

E wo! see question oo... I just think Nigerians have this fear of the unknown. What if the child turns out to be like the devil himself. Moreover, who would want to bear the same name with the devil himself? The child will not forgive you when he/she grows up. Or when neighbours call you how will it sound? Papa Lucifer or Mama Luci..lol

. Yes bro, just that the power drunk God or god gave him a bad name. Come to think of it,Lucifer is not really in the bible. And the bible talked about god's own side nobody has heared devil's own side of the story and it is written,'you don't end judgement in the mouth of one person. But if there is anything like hell-which I vehemently know there is non-god or God will get some men to himself and Lucifer will get too and even more than God. So this is a kind of battle God can't rejoice or be happy at the end simple.

Lucifer means bringing light..it u know the meaning of mary,(bitterness)Jacob(supplanter),Esther(secret)..u go fear!Judas means the praise of God,Rahab means largeness,Rebekah means fat,Ruth means drunk,Stephen means crown,Jezebel means chaste,Africans bear those bible names according to be their role in the bible but don't find out the meaning.

How will you react to a guy named Lucifer?
If you don't see anything bad in it, well, be informed: you are part of a seriously marginalised minority.

There is nothing bad in it. A name is just a name.
Like someone said, Mary means bitterness, yet people use it. Doesn't mean their lives will turn out miserable.
Naming a child Lucifer doesn't mean the child will become the second in command to the fictional hell.
Nigeria is just affected by some deeply rooted superstitions.
