High school is highschool man ntn like good or bad highschool just public and private high schools first of and also it can be boarding I mean who are you going to be leaving with obviously if its not a boarding then you should know the state the county of where you would be staying and the person you'll be staying with will have more help for you than here(you need recommendation letter from your current high school, transcript and so on for the best just know where you are heading to and contact the principal of the school you're a minor so your parent or sponsor should know more about what they are getting into)

Each time that you were refused you were given a piece of paper with the rejection reason written there.
The most common is 214b, lack of ties to prove return home.

You should read back in this section and you will learn a lot.

At 17 , This is no longer secondary school . What is left is the last year of high school ( twelfth grade) . The year is already ended so by next year you probably 18 yrs and then considered an adult after 18 ......... Most secondary schools will not accept an 18 year old as at 18 yrs students are in Uni now except adult high school or any special program

Why are you not looking into entering University ? ...... what you need to do is finish your secondary school in Naija (if u havent) because you need your WAEC result and then do SAt/ Toefl and gain admission into a College. There are many 17s already in College / University in Naija and USA . If your parents are not comfortable you entering school now , then you can wait and do a gap year till they are comfortable you entering Uni .

To future applicants, I know someone has said this here before, but Lemme restate it (Eng 1301 restated thesis). Look for schools that you can afford be it university or community college.

I know someone that came to US last Dec for spring session but he couldn't do the semester cos the tuition was too much for the family. She lost her status and up to now, she is still going about it.

Losing your status means you can't apply for work or anything legal. So do your mathematics.
Wish you guys good luck and safe trip to those travelling. I just wonder how expensive the flight tickets are now....

Yh I was given 213b four consecutive times... I need advice, how do I get this fifth time right...
And
What answer should I give the VO if he/she ask this ' what have changed since the last time you came for interview?'

There is no easy fix or quick 2 mins answer to this......4 times now is tricky. ........someone will need to spend time reviewing your whole history and various transcripts to help u ....blc u can prepare so hard for this one question in bold and u will not be asked that . so its not even about that question although yes thats a key question for you

my hands are really full these days so not making any promises but pm and we can start a conversation

REMINDER : A Friend of mine just got denied again and he's so bleeped up right now. I specifically told him to defer admission and he sd an insider(agent) inside the us embassy sd the VO wrote "lack of confidence" shocked shocked shocked I just laughed and sd it is a big lie. Now he has been refused again after too much talk from
agent

pls the deadliest question you can come accross is "what has changed in your application"... please make sure u r able to defend it or your application has really changed.

Success

This is not something that you can make up an answer.
They want you to prove that things have changed in your life that will make you return home after your trip.
Better job with letter from employer
Married, Children.
Landed property that you must manage.

These things do not happen or change in a week, but in years.

wise WORDS ..... i see some here thinking that life is all after the visa and hoping to do a runner once they get there .. its not funny or that easy living ilegally in a foreign country and also the stress to later correct it .....

yes u might be abroad where there is light and less of naija stress but until its corrected if at all. the person will be stuck in a stagnant state which leads to depression and frustration ....and that can drag on for years

Also without papers people can not get a legal job or rent a nice place to live.
They are easy prey for low wage slave jobs and things like drug smuggling.

It's very simple if the candidate knew what he or she's doing. You don't defend it in your application, they naturally see it. That is why they keep your previous profile in their database to compare with the new one.

You're already over age for secondary school unless you want to finish those 10 year old students who are still drinking milk. Why not hold on and apply for university?

I don't see a lot of biomedical Phd applicants here. These programs are plentiful, will also award masters degrees half way and are FREE!
