That Arnold Ford showed to Bernard isn't actually Arnold. If u look at that episode again, u will discover that the Arnold is actually Ford's father. The robot in the cottage in d woods looks exactly like the person in the picture standing beside Ford.
If u look even more closer at the pix, u will realise that there is a space on the right side of the picture...a lot of space. There should be someone in that space; a third person in the picture. I think that person is Arnold. But since Bernard is actually a host made in the likeness of Arnold he was unable to see the third person in the picture because it is not supposed to look like anything to him. The same way he couldnt see d door that led to that inner room where he eventually killed Theresa and the same way he couldnt see that the paper contained a prototype of himself.
Ford himself helps us know that much. "They are not supposed to see the things that will hurt them", he reveals. He always spares them that pain.
So once again, Bernard is likely Arnold's image. If u see the room in which Bernard killed Theresa, it looks almost same as the room in which Bernard (Arnold) was questioning Dolores in earlier episodes. That was probably 30 years before present-day Westworld.

this dude worked out the bernard-arnold angle.
i do have some problem with why i never really believed it
why has nobody in the park been able to identify bernard has arnold ?
i think that two timeline somebody also said above is all but confirmed
and william will most likely be confirmed as MiB next week.
still a few question but i go keep them till the last episode.

I think that has to do with the previous Arnold setup.

Ford is literally a god in that park. There's a little chance he doesn't know Maeve is up to something. Let's see where Maeve's story arc leads.

The other major one right now is that william(the guy looking for the maze with Dolores) is actually the man in black(Ed Harris' character). Which is why I asked the question whether any of you thought the plotline was in reverse chronology or if they were just telling two different timelines simultaneously. I began suspecting reverse chronology after that Lawrence is El Lazo(I hope I spelt that right) reveal. I literally felt violated during that scene.

You might have a point with the reverse chronology thingy, in an episode Delores's father found a picture of a woman in a city that looks nothing like theirs, in a later episode, Logan gave William that same picture, reminding him that he is to be married to his sister, the girl in the picture. So I think the theory of William being the MIB might just be true, maybe his dislike for Delores started when Delores killed Arnold, we are made to believe MIB was friends with Arnold. Anyway Westworld is the bomb sha, I love the opening theme music, reminds me of GOT a little.

The theme music for GOT and Westworld were composed/written by the same person, Ramin Djawadi. That dude's music are too deep and reflective.

For me, it was underwhelming.

I have seen the final episode, I kept refreshing o2tvseries all morning today till they uploaded. Many questions were answered and we are still left with plenty questions. I don't want to spoil it for people here who are yet to see it, but yea some of our predictions were correct. this show is OMG!

lool funny thing is I envy you, the still get to experience and enjoy the awesomeness of game of thrones. for me and Westworld I think the last episode wasn't their best, maybe because they were taking time to answer a lot of questions, though I believe with this episode we await a more wonderful action filled season 2 come 2018.

I think the final episode was the best. I don't want to conclude to early because we just finished season 1 but if they keep this up for the remaining 4 seasons, then Westworld may turn out to be one of my favorite series of all time. It's a pity we'll have to wait so long for season 2

What I got from the episode, Delores killed Arnold on his request, Delores is Wyatt, Wyatt was integrated in to her program so that she would capable of somethings that her Delores narrative can't do. Like someone mentioned already, Ford is pro robots, he wasn't always for the host but according to him losing Arnold made him understand the angle Arnold was coming from. William is the MIB, Meave awareness is also a new narrative programmed for her, but I think she was able to work on her own free will, showing this by ignoring her script of following the train, leaving it to go look for her daughter. MIB obsession with the maze was that he hoped that by finding it he would unlock consciousness in the host, he did find the maze with Delores but that didn't unlock anything, the maze was a game designed by Arnold to test the consciousness of the host, Delores specifically. the end while Ford gave his speech Delores proved that she now has her free will by picking the gun and going to shoot Ford, we also understood that ford had unlocked the rest of the host and they can now fight back and hurt humans. My theory: I think the host Ford was working on in his private lab might just be a robot Ford.

Delores killed ford because ford told her to kill him... Indirectly... When she told her about the gun he kept for her and dat for her to escape that world she has to be a person she wasnt before. And u knw d new narrative is ford's story.
