Illinois here I come.i thank god a wonderful journey.i have to leave home as early as possible.my departure time was 10:45 but I left home via brt to Maryland then from Maryland I took taxi to international wing of muritala Mohammed international airport for 1k.I intentionally left Early because of travelex,i knew the process to get dollars from travelex is always complex and lengthy.

On get to the airport, the first set up I saw were the hustlers trying to sell padlock for me telling I have to lock where I put my properties so that nobody will put anything illegal inside the bag.Good.That was a nice ideal.I bought the padlock for 200 naira after several begging.i did the checking at the main gate.after which I got entrance into the airport.now straight to the travelex to obtain dollars.i got there to know that travelex have not becoming for the past two weeks as at Sunday.Aboki rate was 490 and there are accredited dollars selling and buying outlet within they selling it at 400 but they don't have.

I got to know that the accredited people obtain their dollars from the travelers that are arriving and they immediately sell it out again to those departing and sell most of them to the abokis at the higher price compare to the travellers departing .one of their policy is that they don't keep dollars for anybody.so immediately I hear annocement of any airline I just have to be on my to those accredited sellers.some will sell 20 dollars,3 dollars, 60 dollars depending on how they feel...........

Thanks to JAH for the safe trip bro

My Visa Approval transcript......
my appointment was 7am, arrived at the embassy some few minutes before the time, thereafter a lady came to meet us outside and shouted 7am,7;15;7;30 come this way....blahblahblah. did everything and eventually into the visa room. Well, quite crowded as expected. I joined the que thought it was the visa interview queue sef but a lady in the window just collected my document did somethings on the computer and returned my docs then to another queue for finger printing by one bearded big white man, then finally to the real queue...
V.O: Good morning
Me: Good morning
V.O: Can i have your passport (sighted my I-20) and your I-20
Me: Passed it to her
V.O: (typing for a long time) tell me about your program
Me: (something wey i don over read for google) the program is Information Security Management.......(also talking with my hand and we were looking into eachother while she was nodding her head)
V.O: How did you know about the School
Me: My senior colleague is a product of this school also i made my search using the keywoprd information security management so i got some response and i applied to some schools(meanwhile she was nodding her head and typing)
V.O: Who is your Sponsor
Me: My sister
V.O: What does she do
Me: She is an IT practitioner and she also has another business that she does
V.O: Pick up your visa the the address in this paper blah blah blah

My Little advice,
dont be too over concious, u might just find yourself blabbing.
dont keep your confidence till the interview proper, let it start with the first person that attend to you from the window cos who knows approval might start from the first widow-to finger print window- and the interview proper, they are all potential VOs.
Also please PRAY, PRAY and PRAY. i fasted for this and prayed, pls pray. My Course was just a 7-months certification program.
My story too long i guess....OK. I go sharap here.
Thanks to all the gurus.....your effort to potential applicant successful interview is much appreciated

................so after the dollar hustle.i got almost 200 dollars as PTA all at 400 naira per dollar. I have to buy suitable charger for my android at 2000 naira inside the airport.at about 5pm Turkish airline start preparing for their stand.Although I have done the online check in less than 24 hrs to my departure time. I still went ahead for the physical check in, my boarding pass was given after which both my hand bag and traveling bag was tagged.the traveling bag was collected for check in why I have my hand bag back.

Fast forward to immigration,Full screening was done like removing ur belt, wrist watch, hand chain.u bring ur laptop out from ur bag or ur iPad, I was forced to drink the fanta I bought on the spot because it can't pass that immigration.my passport was stamp afer asking questions like is this your first time of travelling, what are u going to do in USA, which university are you going to?after which one or two might ask u for money.i gave one hundred naira she collected it ,I gave another one hundred he returned he told me it is too small and ask me to take it.i happy as I quickly collect my money back

No the NDLEA, I was ask to declare all the money with me.i declare my dollars and show them 250 naira.ask me questions like there immigration counterpart.finally she ask me for money.i gave her 100 naira, she said it is too small , ok increase to 200 naira she said no.ok.ma.i don't have money with me except my 200 dollars.she asked me I can pay her in dollars(see professional beggar) dollars wey me I don dey hustle for like 5 hours now.men she changed am for me immediately telling me 200 dollars is too small for my PTA.Thanks to Nairaland, I changed for her too telling her am going for studies and there is nothing like minimum or maximum PTA for student.she calm down telling me I did not tell her am going for studies.i Jus dey look at am,do I need to tell u that when u have requested for my passport already(I say this to mind).she no get choice than to give me my passport back and I proceeded straight to my boarding gate..............

Thank God for journey mercies and have a fulfilling semester

This begging always annoys me because its sad to see. They are salary earners so why they openly beg is what annoys me as it doesnt even tell well about Nigeria. ...me sha i dont give 1 naira to any of them or any airport staff. i just frown or keep a straight face.

Okay, In the spirit of giving back. My company is currently seeking H1B workers in two positions. Below are the details:

1. Title: QA Analyst
Period of Employment: 09/04/2016 - 09/03/2019
Salary Range: ~$60,000/Annum

2. Title: Oracle Applications Express Developer
Period of Employment: 09/26/2016 - 12/08/2018
Salary Range: ~$111,000/Annum

They are specifically looking for people to file H1B visas for. I just saw it this morning at HR

Disclaimer: I don't work in HR neither am I involved in the hiring process (My boss will be doing the Hiring for the Oracle Job though, but I do not have the ability to affect his decision). All I can do is help submit resumes and if I know you well enough, help put in a good word. Thanks.
