Oga, I saw you did the screeding on these walls with regular cement. Is there a reason or reasons why you didn't do the screeding with white cement? Which one is better between white cement and regular cement screeding? We concluded to do screeding for my house with white cement for internal screeding and regular cement for external screeding.

First let me point out that The best is using the Material Called Survinile to do your screeding for both external and Internal. But budget sometimes will make us use manual mix like regular cement or white cement. now in terms of both. Normal cement is better, since it can manage water better than white cement. The disadvantage it has over white cement is that its Harder to sand paper when ready for painting, so the screeder has to screed well and sandpaper while screeding to ensure that the Job is already done before the painter comes in. As for the advantage it has over white cement, apart from the fact that it manages water better, its stronger in grip, and protects wall from those situations where you have deep cuts on wall faces and angles due to moving of items.

Note regular cement is not a 100% protection from water, but in your case where you are building on a dry land, then you are ok. Not like in most cases in Lagos like the Water logged areas. Hence Survinille is the best.

Wow!! This finishing is superb.

Hopefully mine comes out as good. I have bought and provided some of the best materials and support for mine to come out as this. I always use yours as yardstick for the architect overseeing mine. A little setbacks here and there already. The EBM guy already disappointed. Thieves were not left out stealing cables.

I'm hoping for the best. I should be sending some pictures to your mail for you to help me scrutinize as soon as I'm getting them.
