nextprince:I hv been reading ur analysis so far, and I go with u, mines and ambush re Laid by the enemies along d possible land routes likely to be used by the military. When u see Some young Nigerians aspiring to join the military, it is not as if they hv the morale to fight a battle n secure their country, itz because they want to brag about appearing in Khaki /military camouflage, I can remember when we were at NYSC orientation camp, they do deliberately cut off our water supply and banned against the use of water bottle on parade ground, their reason being that it z part of Endurance training even though we were only engaged with paramilitary training and man o war drills. And the military in the other hand hv undergone more sophisticated training and discipline to endure in case they find themselves in a situation where there is no food or water. To me that behaviour is unprofessional and against the ethics of military, it shows lack of discipline. if I should be enlisted into the army 2day, I will just comfort my mother not to weep much any day she couldn't see me anymore, I may in addition get my girlfriend pregnant for my Remembrance. military requires sacrifices. I do read Al Jazeera reports of wars in the Middle East, US, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, Afghan, etc have lost countless of soldiers in battle with terrorists recently, yet there re rare cases of mutiny if at all there is over there. Though I am not in support of poor logistics supply to our military but they should not be scared to fight even in the face of death, Bc that is what military is all about and they sworn an oath to protect the integrity and sovereignty of the country even if it amounts paying the supreme price. #may God Strengthen our soldiers . #Victory z from God Alone. #God Bless Nigeria. 4 Likes |

jollymizzle: Nothing is ever of high standard anywhere in Nigeria be it in the healthcare sector, education, banking and finance, housing and even the military but we have been living. This apparent lack in the military theatre does not in any way warrant an attack on your GOC, a whole Major General. That's wrong and brazen show of lack of discipline and endurance which is expected of any soldier in Sambisa after all they are not in a hotel. That the GOC allegedly brought the items himself shows his intention to make the operation move on and douse tensions. Those involved (if true) should be severely punished. I can't even show resent and gross indiscipline to my line supervisor at the office without getting serious reprimand from Human Resources. The chain of command must never be broken. 3 Likes |

nextprince:God bless whoever gave birth to you. Moving logistics on air, with a MJ on escort shows how sensitive the GOC is. This is very rare, that is if actually it happens. Something might be wrong, but I feel for the soldiers. For the sake of the safety of this nation, a punitive measure should be implemented for future deterrence. We might not be matured for this democracy, but Military Rule is not an option. I don't support you on that. 2 Likes |

Zedoo:I must say you are very temperamental to have said I should keep quiet, or that I sounded unreasonable. I wonder why you were unable to read and fully comprehend the very little comment I made. For the records, I was only reacting to the immediate cause of the mutiny, that food was delayed for 24hrs. Whether the troops are not well catered for is a discussion for another day. After all, I concluded my comment by saying the commanders have a long history of abuse of power so the mutiny is expected. About whether I know how it feels to loss loved ones, I really don't know why you had to ask this.... Good evening 2 Likes |

The officers will call it mutiny. Why do officers deliberately starve and send them to be killed all in the name of fighting war, only to collect their money to acquire properties abroad. Officers should know that these young soldiers knows very well what the officers are doing and may it not backfires on them. |

nextprince:Tnk u bro. Am presently at the barracks in Maiduguri and am yet to hear any of such news. Most information being circulated by the media is false and from my interaction with peeps who have had first hand experience of this book haram saga, am made to believe that the present GOC is the reason why Maiduguri is safer than it used to be. I was in church with the GOC today and all I can say is that the people love him. 2 Likes 1 Share |

being:. 1. They were supplied by air, which is not d normal routine.why? My guess,is that circumstances did not favor usual routes, for delivery. 2. GOC accompanied d supplies, which means he takes the welfare serious 3.Soldiers are trained to have endurance and improvise in times like these 4. The delay was not more than 48 hours, which means it was not that bad 5. Use of an airforce craft requires clearance from d airforce hierarchy. Though they work together, clearance is still required. Even if u are a general, u cant just walk to a pilot and say "make we de go sambisa". D army general used an airforce platform to deliver supplies, tells me he went to extra miles. Kudos. 1 Like |
