Yes it did.

I know about Raj yoga and pranayama though.

If you are to introduce a person to transcendental meditation, what books or audios will you recommend, or give out?

Since you know about Pranayama then you are pretty much almost there. Breathing from your diaphragm is one of the most fundamentally important aspects of learning to meditate properly. It is difficult for me to recommend a book or audio source mainly because I never learnt through any of those sources, in effect you end up learning somebody else’s methods that may not necessarily suit you, and what is more, no two people will meditate alike, the experiences differ.

Practice by sanctifying your dedicated space, combine Pranayama with the universal Mantra OM MANI PADME HUM in a relaxed pose and start with short practices, say fifteen to twenty minutes of mind focusing, then you cannot go wrong, the rest will come to you naturally.

Om Hraam Namaha
Pronounced : OM Crahm Namaha

This is a mantra I have used successfully to remedy severe heart problems, in some cases for people who were not even aware of it. It is important to add that it is not a substitute for medical treatment. When recited properly and with immersion, the heart will resonate in sympathy with this mantra. When used in conjunction with the Heart Mudra where the index fingers on each hand is placed on the base of the mound of the thumb and the tips of the thumb and ring and middle fingers meet for at least 15 minutes it will bring down High blood pressure and arrest any immediate heart issues affording time to get urgent care.

Recite this mantra as often as possible whenever you feel anxiety. You can also recite it on somebody else’s behalf. It is a life-saver.

Hello Rafeely. Headaches and Migraines are normally the physical expression of inner turmoil. The Mantra “AGRIMONY WHITE CHESTNUT” will confer peace and remove the Migraine. She should chant it as often as possible without expectation. Also your mum should combine this with Pranayama breathing, she should take deep breaths through individual nostrils inhaling and exhaling deeply through each nostril whilst the other is blocked alternately. She should do this for a minimum of 30 minutes.

For the pain, it is : CALM BEAR GLORY DIVINE
She should recite it as often as she can as well as write it on a piece of paper and place under her pillow.
There are issues regarding her parents, but I can't say more.

All the best

All the best to you and your parents. You may consider discussing more with Sarassin privately. it seems he wants to help you more, but he can't on the public sphere.

This is just an opinion. Follow your intuition. May your mother be relieved.

Cheers.

A friend requested this and I am obliging. Below are powerful advanced practice Mantras. Even if chanted individually they will be of immense benefit, you will find that all that you need will come to you with minimum effort. If chanted together they will activate all the energy centers/chakras in an orderly manner.

The “U” sound is to be pronounced as “ooh”. Chant these as a set 108 times (or multiples thereof) daily during meditation or a quiet period. When all the chakras are open, your inner vision will open simultaneously.

Hello Sarassin.

Should a Mantra be chanted necessarily aloud? Can they be done silently?

I tried the namaha cycle, but after about 20 - 25, I got into a blissful transe and could not speak any further easily without interrupting the transe. I had no other option than to move on but mentally. is it okay?

Again, what about concentration issues? I sometimes loose easily concentration and forget the next energy center on the cycle. I don't know if it is better to discuss it privately.

Hi there, depending on the specifics of the Mantra you are chanting, it can and should be done aloud, particularly all healing Mantras and Divine word Mantras should be chanted aloud. When they are chanted aloud the mind focuses on the Mantra, it is outwards and it is more effective.

If you are doing a Japaam, for spiritual development such as the "Namaha series", then you start off initially chanting aloud, and with each successive iteration it becomes silent till it is just on your breath, the focus is inwards.

I read a lot of your comments but I am very afraid of attempting any of those things as I have this idea that doing any of these things might open portals and expose one to unknown entities (called demons by Christians).
Is there a supernatural source for these benefits that are obtained from chanting these mantras?

Thank you, and a superb question too, We should consider Mantras as Divine gifts, they allow one to communicate directly with our Divine essence but like everything else they can be subject to misuse. However, the average person will never have the opportunity to open a portal for supernatural entities by mere recitation of Mantras, certain Mantras have to be transmitted or Given to be of use.

Any Mantras that I place here will be healing mantras or mantras designed to enhance positivity in one’s life and they can be used by anyone regardless of religious beliefs or lack thereof. The benefits obtained are not supernatural, rather they are Divine. Solutions to problems and issues may seem miraculous but they are benefits we are entitled to because we are a part of the universal divine structure that seeks only our highest good.

We say that names and the objects signified by the names are inseparable just as thoughts and words are inseparable. Whenever you think of the name of your son, his figure stands before your mental eye, and vice versa. So when you recite a mantra of Christ for instance, the picture of Christ will come before your mind, Christ will stand before you.

This is because a mantra is divinity encased within a sound-structure. It is divine power manifesting in a sound-body. It is a vital symbol of the Supreme Divinity directly revealed in the innermost depths of divine communion to sages of Self-realization. These symbols are unfailing keys to gain access into the transcendental realms of absolute experience.

I have also stated that sounds are vibrations. This is because they give rise to definite forms, each sound produces a form in the invisible world, and combinations of sound create complicated shapes. Repetition of a mantra has a mysterious power of bringing about the manifestation of the Divinity, just as the splitting of an atom manifests the tremendous forces latent in it.

Great lesson. Keep coming, we are learning. Are mantras received by inspiration from the divine? Or from a "trial and error" approach?

I regularly spend time singing and playing E or bass guitar. When i do that in a private atmosphere, I experience a "trance", sometimes it can be so dramatic that I find myself in an unseen world. Once while I was at it, an entity told me that the famous "Va de retro Satanas" was actually originally a powerful sentence, which could be used for destruction of thought- forms and elementals.

I have never actually tried, as I sometimes ignore what "people" of the invisible say. I am also not so sure, that I understood exactly what he meant. But could there be some truth in the sentence? And if yes, could it be some form of mantra?

Thanks. Mantras, particularly root mantras were revealed by Divine inspiration only to those who could receive them. There is no "trial and error" approach. There are those who purport to smash words together in order to approximate a mantra but without the Divine revelation of the mysteries of the words, they will be of no real benefit.

The famous "get thee behind me Satan". The anagrams are of immense use and many practitioners use it as a form of "LBRP" or cleansing particularly in the Thelemic path. In themsleves the words have a powerful egregore but their meanings seem to have become diluted. I would not use it as a form of mantra, ever.

This is a way of mantra chanting or making “declarations” for my Christian friends. I have used this method as a means of “ascension”, I began with it at a certain mental level and every time I transcended to a higher level, I exalted from that level.

The method is to reduce the number of words used in a declaration until it is reduced to a single one. This reduction must be done quite slowly and during a period spanning several months.

So, we take the seven words in the Prayer: "Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me." They are all used for the first few weeks, then the word "Christ" is omitted for the next few weeks. The prayer is again shortened by detaching from it after a further period the word "Lord." Then "have" is taken out e.t.c., until only one word is left.

The Declaration you should finally end up with is "Jesus-Jesus-Jesus-Jesus." This is high Christology and if you have done it properly, this method will give a glimpse of enlightenment and you will experience yourself in the presence of the most compassionate one.

Interesting.
I wouldn't want to derail this thread any further.

But please, if you will...
In your spare time, please talk about Jesus...from your own POV, why you believe and what you believe.

I have doubts, some things do not add up. Though I have tried to let go of Jesus, a part of me still acknowledges him. But it's shaky.

Perhaps, I can glean some truths from you.

I take a more mystical point of view with respect to Jesus of Nazareth. In the bible what is truly known about the man Jesus would not fill one chapter in the NT, the gospel accounts are essentially little more than works of quasi-historical fictionalized accounts, and the truly authentic sayings of Jesus are beyond the realms of most Christians who seem not to care too much about the antecedents of the progenitor of their religion.

In spite of the above, I firmly believe in Jesus of Nazareth, as a mystic one is taught to experience a deity, and I can assure you that no religion has a monopoly of any deity or God, the religion is only “A” channel to the deity nothing more and that channel can be dispensed with altogether. Therefore I will call on Jesus, Krishna, Ganesha or the Archangel Michael as I require, each has their individual divine mandate, for instance the Hindu deity Ganesha will remove obstacles that appear insurmountable in one's path virtually instantaneously, you don't have to be a Hindu to call on him, neither do you have to be a Christian to call on Christ. Personally I experience Jesus as the deity of compassion, if you ever require divine compassion in your life then Jesus is the one,he is unique but nothing in the Christian texts prepares you to really encounter him meaningfully.

Throughout the history of mankind we can glimpse the recurring actions of certain deities, it is easy to discern the actions of the Archangels in the affairs of men down the ages and if one looks close enough you will see those of Jesus too, in his many guises but most will not recognize him. Don't let go, rather seek a meaningful encounter. We can discuss this further on another thread if you wish.
