Kaduna, Light good die.
Kano light Na so-so.

NB: I speak of the areas I stay.

Benin Electricity Distribution Company seems to be the worst performing disco. Which area in Lag were u making reference to? There has been noticeable improvements in the power supply in Lag.

Why can't we be a little more analytical in our approach.

It is a known fact that power supply differs in different parts of the country.

So if one person claims there is improvement at his end, it smirks of ignorance for another person to be disputing that when the other person is actually not residing in the place.

I can attest to the improvement of power supply on Lagos mainland. Especially Surulere all the way to Ikeja areas.

Which area in Nigeria are you residing that the power supply is still poor?

while it is good to give credit when it is due, its not proper to give wrong impressions as if the current improvement (which seems confined to only highbrow areas) started with PMB.

for instance, when I visited Ado-Ekiti in 2014, there is a place called Embassy Island at Moferere. the light there was 24/7. & this is nowhere close to a highbrow area. I was 'gladly' shocked.

those who know Ado-Ekiti well can attest to this.

but since last year, they said the light has been bad & only recently improved again but still a far cry from the constant light of 2014-midlate 2015.

a better indicator to show if there has been a 'real' improvement in power supply is to use 'outskirt' states, because 'bigger' states get power before 'smaller' states.

most people who 'suddenly' praise the present power supply in some areas have ALWAYS had good power supply since 2014-2015. it became worse in 2016 & is only just improving again.

Update: Light finally went if for about 3 hours today and has been back on for over 3 hours too
I argue with facts not sentiments. If your claims are true, why didn't you notice this from late January to early December 2016? Why is it during the Christmas holidays? Back your arguments with facts and not insults. That's how intelligent and smart people argue. Everybody knows that during Christmas holidays there is usually an improvement in power supply due to the reduced load as a result of people traveling to their various home towns. This is a common knowledge and I wonder what your argument really is. In my area, there is significant improvement in the supply than it was in November and even the 15 litres of petrol we bought since 24th December have not gone half but we are not surprised because it happens every year

I am sorry to say, this is a silly argument. Are the towns travelled to not in Nigeria? I don't get. There is a report of generation hitting 4000MW in dry season and u are attributing that to people travelling? Is it that those towns or villages don't get power from national grid. People have been traveling ages, and this improvement was never noticed this good. In fact, less people travelled this year because of the reccession. And oga, read well, i saod i have noticed the increase for weeks. If u check my topics, u will see a thread uncle Fashola come and take your light. It is a fantastic lie that this happens every year. I know the truth hurts...

but like some one here pointed out, you do not argue with facts. you just spew rubbish & senseless dribble to justify your incompetent god.

is it not you & your kind that condemned the privatization process? now you are reaping its benefits, you want to rewrite history.

on the recession, PMB in his gross incompetence & with sycophantic louts like you egging him on, made what would have been a manageable situation worse.

& that's the fact of the matter.

you speak for the area you stay, yet you dispute the claims of another?

do you see how confused you are?

in your underdeveloped & dysfunctional brain, the power generation that was achieved in 2015 was done by your clannish PMB right?

even your noisemakers acknowledge the fact that as at May 2015, Nigeria had an installed generation capacity of over 11,000mw. if the additional power plants were not built, would Nigeria have that installed capacity to draw from?

you chaps just love taking extremist views on issues & it always comes back to bite you all... you will defend PMB's stupidity, when he does a counter stupid action, you will start justifying that one too.

no wonder you nitwits supported a president with questionable educational background.

well, not surprised... PMB is a liar & deceiver, so I expect his acolytes to be same.

& speaking of bypassing metres & all, do you fend for yourself? I doubt, because if you did, you would be more circumspect in the way you throw praises around for PMB.
you probably sit home all day monitoring who bypasses metre or who is bribing PHCN officials.

like someone rightly said, you do not argue with facts.

Once the current challenges confronting the power sector are fixed, Nigeria will be able to generate 12,000 megawatts of electricity, the Minster of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, said on Wednesday.
The minister said in spite of the challenges, the country’s power sector still possessed the capacity to advance its power generation, transmission and distribution potentials through other energy supply sources.
“There are many perspectives to do this. The country has today the capacity to generate at least 12,000 MW. If we fix all what is not working in the industry, including building any new power plant, the country would be generating close to 12,000 MW,” he said.
According to the minister, meeting that target has been difficult because out of over 140 turbines, only about half has been able to get gas to work with.

all the issues you raised have raised have been debated on other relevant threads. GEJ, Deziani & co will pay for what crimes they committed against Nigeria.

but I find it interesting that you left out names such as Amaechi, Fashola, Oshiomole, Kyari, Babachir or the budget padders that were moved from budget office to cash office (maybe as reward for the padding).

& on reserves, let PMB start paying subsidy (present alternative is increasing PMS to above N200 per litre) & let's see how much he would save.

[b]FG introduces austerity measures

ON NOVEMBER 17, 20147:54

By Emma Ujah, Abuja Bureau Chief ABUJA—The Federal Government, yesterday, introduced some austerity measures and scaled down the crude oil bench mark for the 2015 budget. In a bid to insulate the economy from falling crude oil prices the federal government announced far-reaching policy measures to deal with the crashing crude oil prices, cutting 2015 oil benchmark from $78 to $73 per barrel. Crude oil prices dropped to $77.76 per barrel, some cents below the $78 earlier proposed to the National Assembly as bench mark for the 2015 budget

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/11/fg-introduces-austerity-measures/

They actually introduced austerity and started the recession back in 2014 when oil was selling for $77/per barrel. Imagine their response today with oil selling for $30-40.

Fayose Decries Poor Power Supply To Ekiti State

Nov 12, 2014 8:13 pm

Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State on Wednesday in Abuja said that protracted poor power supply to the state was militating against the economic and social growth of the state.

Fayose made the call during a courtesy visit on the Chairman of Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Dr Sam Amadi

http://leadership.ng/business/390195/fayose-decries-poor-power-supply-ekiti-state

You can say what you want about ekiti, I don't care because it's nothing but fallacy at least according to the governor of ekiti who himself cried and yelled over poor power supply in ekiti in the same 2014 you are talking about.

All you people do is lie lie lie and spew fallacies..

Jonathan did this and that but it never worked until he was kicked out of power. What kind of curse is that?
But when we say Jonathan laid down the foundation for Reccession, u clowns enter an idiotic combat mode.
The Italian prosecutors have made their findings know, a court have order the forfeiture of millions of dollars stolen my Deziani his Mistress to the FG. You wonder why dollars is scarce now? Keep wallowing in self deceit. How will things work out when the drunk was in power? When it was looting galor. How will someone who sold oil for an average of $100 per barrel for 3 years leave a paltry $29bn in the national reserves with no corresponding capital investments to show for the massive spendings. How will things work under him? He left and things started working, then clowns like u will keep telling us how it is Jonathan's achievement. Hahahahahahaha
Kai my broda. This your writeup dey remind me say na stealing stealing be fashionable during GEJ.
