Moral absolutes were declared by humans. Rape is wrong because it inflicts pains on the victims. Human beings have the ability to sell reflect and empathize with others, that is why over the years we evolve some moral absolutes. Morality must be learned.

Even your God did not see any thing wrong with rape as he rewards rapist with their victims as marriage partners. Humans thought themselves some moral absolutes.

So far so good, no "atheist" has been able to tell us why they cling to moral absolutes, when they can't even tell who declared them absolute, and what authority the person/group of persons have to do so. Also, no atheist has been able to tell us why the laws of logic exist, and how the laws came about, and why they use the laws of logic, how humans could possibly know about the laws and why the laws of logic are universal, binding, immaterial and unchanging.

I know there are serial killers and all but an unbeliever like myself who does not believe in the idea of an afterlife feels that this life is all I get. So if I harm someone or murder them I feel like I'm taking away thier only shot of life. And then I might waste my life in jail

When the whites in the USA congrees sat down and made laws criminalizing raciail discrimination in all parts of the US against the wish of majority of the whites living in the South did the people not accept it? All laws are made by law makers and not everybody. About half of Americans are against gay rights but just 5 supreme court justices have made gays rights law in the US. Law makers make lawan for everybody. They care not if you agree to it or not. When majority feel the laws are not in their interest they select law makers to change it.
Gays were not allowed to serve openly in the US military and the law makers voted to enforce it. After a while the same law makers voted to repeal it and allow gays to serve in the military. All these were done by a congress that had less that 1% gays in it.

rape is wrong because it denies the most basic rights of the individual. It takes the freedom of action and choice away from the vi as simple as that. The rapists might not feel that way but it's the fact but it disrupts privacy just as murder violates an individuals basic right to be alive
