‎THE Senate has stopped the ban on the importation of used vehicles into the country through land borders.

The decision was taken at the Senate plenary on Wednesday.

The Federal Government had last year announced the ban on the importation of used vehicles, popularly known as tokunbo, through land borders.

The implementation, through the Nigerian Customs Service, was to become effective on January 1, 2017.

However, a grace of three months was granted for those who must have placed their orders to complete the clearing process.‎

This man has the charisma and intelligence of a leader who'll make a better president. He's got empathy too unlike lipsrsealed

But for that corruption tag undecided

Instead of outright ban through borders government should make importation through our seaports more attractive without it becoming porous to contrabands.

Buhari get brain before? Even his zombies are even far less sensible.

There is a lot more sensibility in sh11t wrapped in nylon than in the cummulative brain mass of APC and muslim zombies here on NL. grin

Quick question plix. How exactly is the Senate empowered to stop the ban? Lol, these news headlines are funny. Quite funny to be exact. It's like the government deciding to ban maybe bath salts through the DEA by using an outdated law Or something and the Senate trying to stop it. Please enlighten me

I don't think the Senate can stop the ban, its not like Customs is under the National Assembly. The best they can do is offer advice.

For one single act, he has become the best. When they buy jeeps everywhere under recession nko? in suffering of the people. Because people like Adeola keeping it real and me shouted at them and they know it will affect their purchase too, they had to lift the ban.
