The woman looks like the dominant one in the video and not someone who endured years of beating. The man was reckless but then Rip to him.

I am not accusing anyone here but I think its also possible someone had access to his device and typed all of this,I don't understand how a supposed army who at least should be responsible outside would type all of these on SM or is it that these guys ain't checked mentally before handing them the job.

AngelicBeing:

It is not a crime to enjoy your money but doing that in Nigeria openly in the club with the state of insecurity, kidnappings, unresolved murders is not right, whenever l come to Nigeria, l go on a low profile, l am careful, cautious of where l go, l avoid hanging out nor clubbing, l try as much as l can to be discreet, l rarely sleep in my personal house , l do all this for my personal safety.

A guy arrived few years ago from Switzerland, was eating somewhere at Ikeja, robbers entered and shot him dead, safety, caution, low -profile, dont open up to anybody, watch your back, watch where you eat, where you hangout, watch, watch and watch your environment & surroundings is the key and above all be prayerful to God because safety is in the hands of the LORD but that does not rule out the fact that we have to play our path and be careful, Rip to the guy..

You're right. I was in Nigeria this Dec to January, I stayed low profile and kept security caution everywhere. I did most of purchases through mobile transfer except for less than 10k.
Showing off your foreign connection in Nigeria is suicidal .

This man deserved to die, and good thing he is dead, that is one less rubbish waste of space of a male species called man.

Men are simply useless, I watched the video and it is obvious the man is nothing but a cheap egocentric man-wh..oree , look at the small dirty house he is living in yet he goes to clubs to spray dollars and sleep with prostitutes to satisfy his small di..ck.

Look at evidence of his cheating on messages. The sister in law can post as much videos as possible. She should know that she just exposed his brother as an irresponsible man-who..ree , that does not deserve anything good in life, hence his life was taken from him!

Honestly I hope those that assassinated him, beat him up and pissed on him before shooting him multiple times in the head.

What sort of abusive man is this. Karma struck him and struck him hard. A lesson to all those use..less irresponsible men out there.

Rest in pieces.

ObiOmaMu:
Wife of murdered US army veteran Chuks Okebata who was killed by alleged assassins in Imo state has shared her own side of the story saying she didn't kill her husband.

This is coming after her sister in law shared heartbreaking videos of her threatening to get her husband jailed this morning that sparked an outrage and made many Nigerians think she has a hand in her husband's death.
Read her statement below:

My own side of the story
Amanda, I once came to you about my husband and his incessant abuse and cheating. Yes I am the wife of the man who was assassinated, and I am just distraught.

I do not even know where to start but it is only right I tell my own side of the story. I am innocent, God is my witness that I did not kill my husband or the evil that my husband’s family is portraying me to be, yes my sister in-law posted that video to make me look evil but the part she did not tell anybody was that I was calling the police to save me because he always beat me up and I was told to call the police whenever he started and that was exactly what I was doing, from the video you would see that I did not fight him or answered him.

Should I have allowed him to kill me?

We have been married for 13 years since I was 19, it has been beating upon beating, I have gone through surgeries because of beating he gave me. How can I kill my husband, we live together, till the day he left for Nigeria, I packed his things , how could I kill him. Who do I know to order a hit on the father of my children?

I have no interest in his properties as suggested after all we built every thing together. God knows I am innocent. I know who I am married to, he is a show off and he went to Nigeria and was going to club spraying dollars and showing off, revealing his locations . They want to pin my husband’s death on me, my husband was not assassinated.

He was kidnapped, because he is a military man he is always with a gun and when he shot to death one of the kidnappers, they shot him. Why is my family leaving out information about what happened and pinning it on me?

I never threatened him to kill him, I am a working woman with a paying job and have no reason to kill him because of properties . All I just want is peace to mourn and raise my children. You can confirm my story from those people in my home town.

My husband was careless in a country with high rate of crime and was kidnapped, if he had not shot one of the robbers all we would have been talking about is paying ransom not death. Why would I kill the father of my kids, why would I choose his death over a divorce if things were that bad.

I have two boys, who will help me raise them? I am completely innocent of all the allegations. I have endured all this years through his beating and cheating and I did not leave or kill him, why would I do it now? All I ask is that I am left to mourn in peace and the killers found and prosecuted.
See pictures of my husband spraying dollars at the club in Owerri. He even live streamed it showing his exact location

I love my husband and I’m still in tears
I’m mourning him and people are accusing them wrongly. My children are crying daily.

Get out of your local Nigeria way of thinking. Is it because most of our women here are afraid to enforce their right?
Once you are legally married and your spouse cheats you have the right to file for divorce and claim that which is jointly owned. Especially where kids are involved. Except agreed otherwise. That's why abroad when a man cheats his wife kicks him out!
Some women are even doing here in naija. A judge recently ordered a man to leave the house he built for his wife and pay a certain amount monthly for the upkeep of the kids and alimony. RIGHT HERE IN PH!

You need to have your head examined. Because some idiots are sending their husband's out over flimsy excuses and the corrupt system is supporting them does not justify that crap . It is still an allegation of infidelity which the woman is yet to proof against the man .

Why will I marry someone only for her to throw me out of what I laboured for in the name of marriage? Is this what the whole gender equality all about?

That woman is a bad excuse of a wife . I watched the video where she was threatening her husband with arrest and jail if he fail to leave their house in 2 minutes ( The man said the house is his and he can't leave for her).

Which kind woman will send his husband out of his house even when the man did not make any attempt in touching her. I wonder where she want him to leave to.

She eventually call-in the cops to take his husband away in the presence of their children and her Sister.

I am not saying she killed her husband o but that woman is a real excuse of a bad wife. Imagine coming to Nigeria to marry and take you to America and you end sending me out of my house?

You are right. Most Nigerian women do call the cops on their husband and when they come, they will ask you to take a walk. That translates that you must leave the house until the woman forgives and ask the cops to allow you come back. Nigerian ladies just get radicalized when an American woman starts telling them that they have right for anything.

Like stated, who else if not her. Anyway, the guy is gone but I still doubt how he can be kidnapped and just killed like that. That translates that it was not just a kidnap but a pure planned and executed crime.

Be you of either sexes, if you aren't married yet, never marry someone who haven't emancipated from economic and social bondages - unless you're either altruistic, faithful and conscientious (and ready to inculcates same attributes to your partner and be lucky s/he embraces same) or oppressive (and have the power to maintain the oppression for the time the union lasted). You can only know the true character of a person when s/he is fully independent to/and cater for his/her well-being. Marry someone who have achieved self-realization and lookout for his/her attributes and make sure you find at least 60 percent of those good attributes you cherishes to see in an opposite sex, before you say I do.

He married her when she was 19, for the paramount reason of having someone to dominate and control. She possibly endured his overindulgence while it lasted, until she came of age and emancipated. Then, upon emancipation socially and economically, she reared her own ugly sides too - which made them became frenemies. Mind games became the order of their days until the silent plot of assassination or coincidental kidnapping (sic) and its manifestation.

From her account, it was an intended robbery/kidnap but turned out to be a homicide. Certainly some persons must have observed from a distance and gave their version which I think is more credible than the "lazy "assassination version being circulated by the Nigerian media.
Dude being a military man took out one of the assailants, and trust naija criminals, the immediate response would be to kill him too, even if they intended to kidnap him.
By the way, if ur waiting for the police to arrest the culprits, ur go'nn be on a very long thing. All they would do is parade some criminals already in their cell and doctor their confessional statement. It appears you don't know naija police ooo.

Exactly. For me, she is a suspect. How did she get to know that the guy shot one of the guys and as such he was killed. When Nigerian women gets radicalized in the US, they can turn to be something else. I have witnessed so many of such whereby the guy will be sent out from the house by the cops during winter and he will be sleeping in his car.
