Goodluck Jonathan administration again.

Recession

Recession

Jona started it

Is that what was said?

I'm pretty sure that the FG was absolved of the blame by Peter Obi who states that it was the governors who refused to save.

And some of these governors are now in the APC. However, Buhari can still save if he wants to.

Enough of these excuses, we know all the damage jona and pdp did that is why we voted buhari and apc to change Things, if they are telling us that the damage is beyond repair then apc is not what we need.
They shd shut up and keep working.

But not saving at all is worst.Saudi Arabia is also being seriously affected by this drop in oil price but they are not feeling it as hard as we facing it now because they have saved and invested a lot on all sectors
Yeah, having no savings at all at all is the worst, but in all honesty, the kind of savings that could have saved Nigeria under these circumstances would have been extraordinarily massive. Saudi Arabia for instance with a population of barely 30 million had over $750 billion in reserves; that's the reason they can weather this storm.

Peter Obi should be arrested immediately for telling the truth. In fact, EFCC should investigate his business interests.

The last time there was a sharp drop in oil prices was in 2008. The drop lasted barely over 6 months and it cost Nigeria $20billion of its reserves to ensure that the economy wasnt affected. The current drop in oil prices has lasted close to 3 years, I wonder how much of savings would have really saved us. On the contrary, I think aggressive investments in key infrastructure, specifically power infrastructure and refineries is what would have made a lot of difference.

God bless you. This is what the 30b UsD loans is for because I think the govt of the day has realized that there needs to be an aggressive plan in place to ram up infrastructure but alas a lot of people don't see reason with this including our so called senators. Just as people are quick to blame Buhari for the recession.

Haba... You forgot the governors sued FG to court?

Yes. But there was never a court ruling in favour of the governors. The FG backed down and decided to share the money. And to be fair the state governors wanted the money shared because they didn't trust the FG to really save that money, and for good reason. Then of course there was their own greed.

Personally, i think President GEJ didn't want to lose favour with his former colleagues in the Governor's Forum. Sadly, at the end of the day, they still stabbed him in the back. A leader must sometimes be strong and stand his ground.

u are very correct but if we had saved up the effect wont be as tough. if not fore cost saving measures the country would have been in total mess. the issue i have with the statement from peter obi is what exactly was the funds used for by both FG and SG. why do we still have power generation under exclusive list.

Interesting. Well, it meant Former Governor Amaechi lied among many lies he said.

koikoi2:
Ameachi will not be happy with this news.

Nogodye the post of koikoi2 is for you.

Nogodye:
IPOB will not be happy with this news

Nogodye , very immature of you, it also confirm Madam Okonjo-Iweala said the truth, maintained on the truth. She is a lady of integrity, thus, the awards and admiration she's being receiving.

Truth would always be revealed, it may tarry, but it would always be known.
