Good development. I think they should sack you from Power & Housing Ministry & leave you in Works. That's where you seem to be active

Mokwa to jebba on the way but the others are on their own

To be frank, adding power to this man portfolio is seriously a setback for him. He should just face works or probably add Housing to it and makes significant impact instead of this overload n nothing to show for it in power section. If PMB really want change in power sector I think that former minister of power that Igbo Eng man is better option

i dont understand why they put all three ministries on only one person and give am little budget..

only roads is already a hugh tax...

by the time he is finished with roads in the entire naija, his budget would be finish...

and dont even think the budget he has now is enough to fix all roads...
Re: FG Approves N21bn For Contruction Of Ilorin-kabba Road Project by darknetcom: 8:31am On Feb 09, 2017
the best he can do now is use most of his budget for roads to cash in more revenues..

thats smart...

Even with oil being sold for $100 per barrel, we simply don't have enough money to build those roads.

Solution is simple, concession the more economic viable roads out to private companies and put toll gates.

I read that Nigeria needs over $30trillion to fix our Infrastructures within a specified time and me and you know that even if we eliminate corruption 100% in Nigeria we can't generate the funds within that specified time.

The only remedy is for Nigeria to tap into that worldwide Trillion dollar infrastructure funding industry. Its easier and simpler than taking loans and enslaving future Nigerians

privatization doesnt work in nigeria..

we have too much corrupt people..

as soon as we are born and start speaking we are already corrupt..

even you are corrupt..

i can test you easily if you are corrupt...

you can forget that international investors will build everything for you...

western nations already had their infrastructures built by their goverments already in the 80s..

international investors only care about maintenace and earning some money....

privatization doesnt work that way..

forget what jonathan told you..the guy is a bufffoon..

without cash,yes..

or you think you can just wish yourselfs good streets just like that without enough money...

streets cost a lot of money, maintaining it too..

privatization only works in nations like america or europe that already have enough good roads..

we mostly have potholes and what are i call adventure paths and even the few good ones are already decaying...

Pls what stops ur hero, the grand commander of buffoonery, from doing this 'common' thing despite the fat resources at his disposal? #51trillion and the only thing he can boast of is "cheap rice".

Those roads are really shit holes. I served in minna some years ago and I understand what you people encounter in these routes. It's like hell on earth

“National Priority 1”

...........“(Others are) Rehabilitation/reconstruction of the Lagos-Shagamu-Ibadan Expressway in Lagos/Oyo states; construction of Loko-Oweto Bridge in Nasarawa/Benue states; reconstruction of outstanding sections of Benin-Ofosu-Ore-Sagamu Road in Edo/Ondo/Ogun states; rehabilitation of Odukpani-Itu-Ikot Ekpene Road section I: Odukpani-Itu Bridgehead; and rehabilitation of Ilorin-J’ebba-Mokwa Road.”

“National Priority 2”

......He listed some of the projects as dualisation of Sapele-Ewu Road in Delta/Edo states; dualisation of Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta Road in Lagos/Ogun states; rehabilitation of Hadejia-Nguru-Gashua-Bayamari road in Jigawa/Yobe states; and the rehabilitation of Ilorin-Kabba-Obajana Road in Kwara/Kogi states.
Others are the rehabilitation of Yola-Mubi Road; rehabilitation of Owerri-Umuahia Road in Imo/Abia states; dualisation of Yenagoa Road Junction-Kolo-Otuoke-Bayelsa Palm in Bayelsa State; and the rehabilitation of Damaturu-Biu Road.

“National Priority 3”

.....“Some of the projects are rehabilitation of Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in Lagos Phase I & II; dualisation of Suleja-Minna Road; construction of Bodo-Bonny Road with a bridge across the Opobo channel in Rivers State; access road to Apapa/Tin Can Port, NNPC Depot (Atlas Cove) to Mile 2; and the construction of Agaie-Katcha-Baro Road,” Mr. Fashola explained.

http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/222807-works-minister-fashola-lists-top-federal-road-projects-2017.html

Depending on the other roads you mentioned being in the criteria of the top 4 category of national importance..... but I think the bolded when completed provides options of alternate route so that in later years these other roads will get the needed attention.

Since the is the age of Big bets, Bill Gates foundation has edged his bet on Nigeria inclusive, I also edge mine that industrialisation will follow these new areas that roads are constructed or rehabilitated

Now lets not make this about GEJ.

Lets look at USA. One of the main reason why USA overtook the rest of the world economically is Railways which made transport of goods easier.

Individuals made USA what it is enabled ofcourse by favourable government policies. Men like Carnegie, Tom Scott, even J.D Rocketfeller, etc built and owned rail lines and i stand to be corrected, the rail lines in USA are still being owned by private companies.

We don't have enough money to build our infrastructures to world class and if we don't within the limited time we have now, the world will leave us behind. Infact other African countries are leaving us behind, Volkswagen just opened a factory in Rwanda and Kenya, Ivory Coast is now growing at an alarming rate drawing FDI's to it.

Lets not deceive ourselves, Nigeria was never a rich nation.

Lets not also deceive ourselves by saying we have big population that investors will always flock to Nigeria. The events of the past few months have proven that without sound economic programs our opulation means nothing.

yea..atleast you agree the international investors will not build everything for us..its too much to catch up...

i would just relocate all nigerians to big cities and turn the rest of nigeria to farmlands...like this,we dont have to build streets in the ol entire nigeria...

its too late to catch up with the rest of the world now..

not without taking hugh loans...
