The payment isn't fixed; it all depends on how successful your article is. They have a way of calculating it, I am not clear how they do the Math. I just withdrew $78 today, payment is made through Paypal or bitcoin.
do you have sites i can market my statistical analysis skills?

Thanks for the insight! One more question please, how many articles do you have now on the system. A rough estimate. Thanks

Hi, please I've been having difficulty uploading a project on my profile. Do I have to provide the url to the project? All my previous works aren't uploaded on net, they are just on my system. I bade on 8 projects and still nothing....I'm getting frustrated please I need advice from everyone.

Is it on Upwork? It takes some time for your projects to be (approved and) uploaded on Upwork, and yes you can either use the URL if it is already published or you can add the contents as attachments. You have to be patient on Upwork and do your due diligence. From my experience, it is not easy getting jobs, but try to improve yourself you will get noticed eventually.

Many others bid for much longer.

You have to be patient.

Thank you sir. I'm really grateful. Since the free connects lasts for only one month, how were you able to bid for 2 months? Furthermore, they keep flaunting the plus membership trial with extra 300 connects in my face whenever I log in, would you advice me to go for it?

I think you are confusing Upwork with Freelancer. Freelancer's free connects last a month. And it is Freelancer that keeps forcing that membership plan down your throat.

Upwork gives you 60 free connects every month. So a month from the day you registered, your connects will be reloaded to 60.

Upwork Update

Skrill will no longer be an option for withdrawing funds from Upwork beginning April 24, 2017.

After a thorough review, we've determined that Skrill's product, pricing, and customer support to our freelancers do not consistently meet the standards we require of our payment partners. We apologize for the inconvenience but are dedicated to providing you with other cost-effective and convenient ways to receive your money.

One of these is Direct to Local Bank, newly available for freelancers in Nigeria. With this option, you can send your earnings to your local bank account in NGN for only $0.99 per withdrawal. It's the most efficient way to receive your money in your local currency. You can set it up in your Get Paid settings by clicking "Add a Payment Method" and selecting Direct to Local Bank.

Thumbs up to Upwork? But skrill is still better than PayPal. The only options are PayPal, US bank account, and dorm account (of which they can now trace your country)

It's better to receive it into your dorm account, and that's with a 30% of the amount you are receiving gone.

After that to get your money is war, most banks will tell you you can not withdraw from a transfer dorm account eg Zenith., that you can only transfer or pay for things online.

Then if you want it directly into your Normal account you will still pay for it, then the bank eg zenith will give you #310/$

Transfer Dorm account as in what.

I have been receiving funds from my company via Payoneer for over a year and I withdraw USD cash over the counter from GTB PH.

That 30 USD by upwork is my biggest issue yet, then GTB will take another 20 USD per transfer.

Skrill can go to hell, they just blocked my account for no reason even if I was fully verified.

The Upwork exchange rate seems fair considering they aren't using black market rates. 369NGN/$1 as at today. Although I have not tried it, but I will if these Exchangers start doing too much shakara. For now I use Payoneer and sell to Exchangers at a fair rate.

The bold text is wrong. It is $30 wire transfer irrespective of amount. When we used Elance, it was initially $5 (2009-2013) and then $25. Then as far as withdrawing in USD goes, I have never had a problem for once with pulling out the raw dollars. NOT ONCE.

So are you speaking from experience or from hearsay?

I went back to check, so it's $30 not 30%.
As you can read I quoted a particular bank, Zenith bank, which means its not hearsay, which means I got the info from them directly.
If you're been having yours smoothly kindly mention the bank you use so I can migrate.

What I got when I went to GTbank was that I can receive USD cash over the counter IF (very big IF) it is available.

But I noticed that banks located in all these big men areas give better responces, for example I applied for a token and they said they didn't have around my area, but that said I can ask in other branches, I came back next day same story, I went straight to VI and I got it in less than 10 mins.

But u are right o, removal of 30$ by upwork and 20$ by GT is not funny o, in this Buhari era.

You can always withdraw the funds in your dom accant in GTB. Most branches have dollars n euros readily available. It's not a "BIG IF" I can assure you. Furthermore, you may not even need to withdraw over the counter sef. Whoever is interested can get in touch with me and I'll link you with a registered BDC that will buy ur dollars from you via bank transfer @ the same aboki rates! So even if you get to a branch and they don't have dollars available, you can do transfer.

Charges for withdrawal over the counter and transfer to another accant are actually the same....0.5% of the amount u're withdrawing or transferring + 5% of that 0.5% as VAT. However, the minimum charge is $10! So this means that if you were withdrawing or transferring $100, you would pay $10 commission as well as $0.5 (which is 5% of $10) as total charges because the minimum charge is $10. So as long as your 0.5% is not up to $10, GTB will always charge you $10.5 for withdrawals or transfer.

Please note that all the info I just posted is strictly for GTB. I dont know how other banks do their thing but I am confident of GTB cos I do it regularly.

Cheers.
