By their fruits fingers you shall know them.

Yup. The pay per post crew lipsrsealed like anyone takes them seriously. Who would take a paid agent seriously when they are simply just doing "their work", shameful work with no conscience.

Rubbish!

PMB's lackadaisical approach to his work as president put us in the mess we are today.

It took him ages to make key appointments.

The Niger Delta militants gave him a year's grace to see what he would come up with. He ballooned it.

And so on and so forth.

OBJ took over a country in ruins and turned it around for the better in no time.

PMB has no excuse. He has been a catastrophic failure.

Anyone supporting him is a looooonatic!

Point made. The problem is the man in power and his team do not seem determined to bring an end to the recession. The same way Jonathan was fighting Boko is the same way this president is fighting recession. They are just believing that recession will phase out after 2 years just as Jona thought Boko was something that will stop sooner.
Has corruption really been stopped? We hear a lot of it everyday and this administration is not yet out of power. We can just imagine what we will hear then. I wonder were Nigerians being over paid in the past. How are they survuving?

So it's Gej dat caused delay in the appointment of ministers dat shld hv quickly gotten on the case of formulating an economic policy. It was Gej dat made CBN policies dat further worsened the naira value. It was Gej who caused the declining state of security frm the fulani herdsmen to the rise in kidnapping.

Wen nigerians knw y they voted out Gej, up till now buhari's is still blaming Gej for his own cluelessness.

PDP is just a combination of three letters and those letters are not corrupt but those that combined the three letters and called it a political party are the corrupt minds here, same goes to APC. There's no politician in Nigeria that's not corrupt. Corruption has eaten deep into the system that even the mkt women are also corrupt. Those in the university are corrupt. Everywhere in Nigeria is corrupt.

Absolutely right. Very true. If you also remember the election saga where that funny man said we will not take it!! Trust me, they are not taking it. The PDP has been in power for years, they have loyalists everywhere. Their loyalists range in the highest sectors of the economy, and when another party rules, they find ways to cripple the economy. Buhari will work oo, but trust me, you wont see or feel the effect. Fashola worked his ass off in Lagos, you and I know this. He also stole, you and i know that. The same man who said power will be restored in 6 months can't even do a thing within a 2yr plan. What is his complain? Pipelines are being destroyed, this and that. Who do you think is doing this? Loyalists. I don't like buhari, neither do I like Jonathan, but we don't need to be blind to know that this write up says the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

....Just look at the beer-parlour excuses you guys keep holding on to..PDP PDP PD yet 90% of APC members were once PDP members undecided...

....Is it PDP that told buhari/apc not to have an economic team with sound policies resulting in the mass exodus of foreign investors with their cash in dollars with no intention of coming back till further notice??

...Is it PDP that told Buhari/apc to stupiddly bungle and mis-manage the Niger-Delta issue..foolishly rushing into a confrontion against wise council to use diplomacy, because their region is the goose that lays the golden egg??..ignorantly fooling himself that he is the new 'sherifatu' in town?

...Like i mentioned earlier,90% of apc members now were former PDP members,so you guys should grow some brains please.

Brodaly ur not getting it, no one says PMB doesnt have hes fault, but what the guy is saying is if GEJ had done the needful then, we wont be in this situation right now.
cooljude:
Yes the past government was wasteful and that was why they lost the election. You made promises of changing things and making them better, well let's leave that for Nigerians to decide.
This government has spent close to two years in office and they've not delivered on their promises or agenda in short they are making things worse with unnecessary policies causing uncertainty and panic in the system. I don't care about political parties, all Nigerians want are basic amenities and things that would make our life improved.
I know that you are writing to defend your paycheck and stomach but you and others like you are the biggest problem, supporting very useless governments and policies even though you could see the negative effect of such policies around you.
Why would a president wait till 6 months to choose his cabinet, worse still this is one of the most inexperienced, unqualified, and outrageous cabinet ever, If you want to copy China policy of Mao's time, you should also provide the zeal to educate the masses and actually invest on internal industrialisation, if you are controlling FOREX and the use of foreign products, why not be a beacon and rather improve our health sector so that he wouldn't have to travel for medical tourism thereby saving our foreign exchange and boosting the confidence of our local health sector.
As I said earlier, I don't care about any party but it pains me when people like you would call *A* *H*.

Truth234:
Looting is our major problem. Even though it is basic, it is complex. For instance, monthly forex demand under Obasanjo was below $1 billion, due to lack of broad industrialization and low commerce, when compared to recent time.

However, Nigeria was generating $105/b on the average for about 5 years under GEJ, with a low forex demand when compared to what we are currently experiencing. The question is why was there no diversification plan, infrastructure to support growth and encourage foreign investments?

Yet, there was no savings. In 2013, Nigeria generated about $33 billion (Q2) from crude oil, only $2 billion made it to the foreign reserves. Another hiding truth is the fact that GEJ administration actually used about $26 billion to support lower exchange rate in 2013, even though oil price was at a record high, there was not succinct policy for economic growth. That was one of the reasons we were able to deceive JPmorgan into listing Nigeria bond on emerging market Index. It was a bubble created by oil boom but burst when oil prices plunged.

Presently, Nigeria monthly forex demand stood at $4.8 billion and $1.2 billion on a weekly basis, whereas the nation is generating between $600 million-$700 million weekly.
We exhausted $26bn in subsidizing $ rate and some comedians want Buhari to maintain it even when our earnings has dropped.

It's not about who looted per se. It's more about him not being in control to prevent the looting by his fellow thieving gang including his wife.
nobody is wishing away anything. Yes gej time wasn't the best but its been 2 years already since he left. Leave the guy alone. Buhari's policies are making a bad situation worse.

Does Buhari know what he is doing
What is the blue print What is his plan

He keeps talking about growing Nigeria when he and his ministers are going abroad.

Is Buhari's car made in Nigeria Or that of his ministers or senates or HORs That amongst so many items I won't want to mention because of space.

This century is drifting away from oil or so they made us believe then the same government is spending billions of dollar searching for the same oil in the north

Or is it the annual budget, is passingshot claiming that he is not aware of the re-occurences or repetition in the budgets as reported in the media

My brother I tire to dey argue with some people no wonder they were termed "zombie"

TonyeBarcanista is a man pretending to be asleep, you cannot awaken him to a reality he is hiding from.

Imagine claiming Jonathan relieved Stella Oduah of office due to corruption in the BMW saga. How many months after that and the fake Master's degree scandal was she shuffled out of the cabinet with praise? Where was the prosecution that was supposed to follow? The same party gave her a senatorial ticket.

Just like they want us to believe Andrew Yakubu was relieved as NNPC GMD due to corruption without prosecution, as opposed to the actual power tussle with Queen Diezani of Corruptia.

This writer is a zombie.
Don't blame past administration for where we are now.
That past administration inherited no golden economy.
The zombies you have as ministers and governors in this present administration are the ones that sued the past administration for trying to save when they are in need of resources.
This present administration, out of ignorance, pushed away many multinational companies from Nigeria thereby, instantly reducing the scope of the economy. Example, financial companies like JP MORGAN, worth over $80 billion pulled out of Nigeria. Imagine when such amount leaves an economy.
The incompetents who are appointed into strategic positions in the economy didn't give investors the courage to remain and to invest in Nigeria.
The insurgency in the Niger Delta needed dialogue and fair treatment rather, this administration thought that force can solve it. We are seeing the result.

At a time during OBJ's regime, oil sold for less than $10 per barrel, we didn't feel it as we are doing now.
In this administration, we have seen oil rise from $22 to $55 now, still our currency continues the downward thread.
The multiple exchange rate we have today was not inherited from past administration.
But, if you maintain that past administration is to blame what good measure have your present administration taken to checkmate what they inherited. They should stop this BLAME GAME and prove themselves worthy of the position they occupy.
