lets use your logic here

the third hint says (2-0-6)-two numbers are correct but wrong placed.

Analysing 062 wit d above.
If two numbers are correct but wrong placed, it therefore means one is incorrect, or correct and rightly placed.
Which is incorrect here ?? If u say none, which then is correct and rightly placed ??

Analysing 042 wit same hint.
If two numbers are correct but wrongly placed, it therefore means one is incorrect, or one is correct nd rightly placed. 6 is incorrect.

If This analysis is not enough to determine only ONE answer, let me knw, For more

The answer will be 062 if you look at the conditions as 'atleast' for example: atleast " one number is correct and well placed". The answer is 042 if u look at the conditions as 'only' ie. Only " two numbers are correct and wrongly placed" for example..
Does this make sense..anyone else follow this logic??

cooljude and freekick, since the word only was not included in the statement, 042 is not acceptable as the only true answer until a condition called " Only " is attached

The true answers are 062 and 042 depending on the condition attached but note that only was not stated

You sabi argue sha. They posted 042 as the answer. 062 can never be an answer because you can't use two codes to unlock a door. you either have the password or not. I told you that 6 is illogical because it contradicts statement one and two. I drop my pen here, I won't argue again if you refuse to correct yourself.

. it does not mean that 6 is incorrect but it is wrongly placed unlike 0 and 2

The correct answer is 042

since....0 is the first digit (hint 738,780,206)
and 2 is the last digit (given 0 is first digit and hint 682)
while 4 is the middle digit given (hint 614) smiley

062 cannot be the correct numbers since hint 206 states that two numbers are correct but wrongly place, therefore only two out of these three number is among the correct digits i.e 0 and 2.

also 012 is wrong because hint 614 states that one number is correct but wrongly placed so if 1 is part of the correct numbers it is wrongly placed. but 1 is not even among the correct digits.
