This is a very serious Constitutional Question.

What happens if the current acting president (VP) becomes very ill and needs and urgent medical attention.
Just imagine that the illness will keep him out of Nigeria for close to 3 months or more (even if its just one day)

Please, let's not say God forbid or it can't happen, i really want us to critically look into this issues in other to adopt a holistic legislative approach to it.

Let's no one say I'm wishing the president, his vice or the nation at large evil; far from that, I'm just a concerned Nigerian and I want the best for this great Nation.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Senate president takes over. So Saraki will be president while Ekwemaradu would be vice president.

If the president and the vice are both incapacitated, then I think the Senate present will emerge the acting president

It automatically and constitutionally gives the Senate President the power to assume the position of the president of federal Republic of Nigeria....But all these are just imaginary. I hope you aren't praying for such to befell vice president Osibanjo.

In the United States of America, it is a saying, that anything is possible but in Nigeria, the saying should be; anything impossible is always possible i.e every action taken or things done means exactly the opposite of the meaning. This was the Nigeria of yesterday and Nigeria of today and tomorrow . I am waiting for that elderly state Man called Chief John Odigie Oyegun to come out and campaign for a sick PMB..... Here was this high Chief playing god and already campaigning for a man barely in the second year of his term with a colossal damaging economic blueprint... I hope his master will rise up above sickness and finish this one and only term. I wonder how many Nigerians will say,“AMEN"?. This is the definition of how Nigerians react to issues with negativity. A country where nearly everything is geared towards opposite direction. A blind man or woman can see clearly while the man or woman that can see turns blind.

Why should I pray for such to befall the Acting President?. I neither pray for buhari to remain sick nor for Osinbajo to fall sick.
But if there is an iota of possibility in it, then we must pray hard, work hard and act fast so that we don't hand Nigeria over to those we can't trust. That's the essence of this threat.

It is time to take Back the Power we gave to our politicians. True power belongs to the people. 2019 will definitely be a year of judgement if we don't allow them to cajole us again.

If you love this man this much why not you join your voice to those who are calling on the senate to do the needfull? Weather we like it or not, if anything happens to him slightly and he's flown out of Nigeria or Hospitalised, Saraki will become the president. And once that is done, the fight against corruption is dead.

Are the people willing to take such risk considering the “sign posts" at River State? These set of political class are just too evil to deal with. Only a fragment of them truly mean well. Their interest are basically what they can benefit from the government/country and not what they can offer to reduce the suffering of the mass population of Nigeria. And here we are. with multiple and divided views because many have read more than the UNIVERSITY WALLS. How do you then solve these germane problems? You or I have little to say or do else one will be caught in between the cross fire, It heartbreaking seeing the same impression and actions the past government of PDP did/took ,is the same formula the present APC is doing but in a more advanced pattern. If only and only Nigeria is well structured into power devolution into the hands of the citizens whereby any erring and meaningless and mannerless personality can be recalled by his or her constituency via referendum . By so doing, this will reduce the opportunity of get quick syndrome, then solutions aren't farfetched. But in truth how feasible are these views?

Saraki isn't as evil as it seems. Every one them you see at the Federal house of assembly upper chamber and lower chamber are mostly contractors in politics. Take for instance, why would a senator want personal allocation for developments for his or her constituency year in year out ?,It is only in Nigeria everything goes. They are meant to suggest bills, advise the executive, propose bill to woo executive to evenly help to assist their different constituencies, and pass into law . And also to oversee the checks and balances of the executive arm's excesses. But are they doing all these functions expected of them? Look at Trump with all his promises of lies and pride to ride easy with soft landing at the presidency but loo his eyes are getting clearer every other passing day. This is what we expect these educated elite to do for Nigeria. But so sorry case is the story of a country which once had the value of her currency traded at 1.50k/£ and 1.00/$ . It is so bad

Who is in politics in Nigeria that you can so much say without him or her having no godfather? This is the bitter truth. The people that can turn Nigeria around have fled Nigeria. And the ones that have stayed behind are hiding behind God for the safety of their own lives and family's . This is because politics in Nigeria is just too tough and dirty that even involve killing or rituals....

Now let me tell you what a Member of The National assembly said last week on a Live Television Interview.

"Where are the politicians coming out from, the society of course"

"We are the reflection of the larger society"

"We vote out the Right people (honest, sincere patriotic) and vote in the wrong people (wicked, evil, looters)".
Those were his words which clearly indicates that We as a people don't actually know what we really want. The right persons goes into the state or national assembly to ensure that the money meant for the development of nigeria is used for the same purpose, but because these sets of people may not afford to afford "stomach infrastructure", sharing of okada and other bait they use on us. We end up tagging them Not Performing, Not Doing anything for us...and they vote them out and vote-in those who will steal 100M and give/share them 1M out of it.

Even people that can work won't get the opportunity to do so because they will be shortchanged. Well, I do like politics but as it is now. It is a no no area for now until the coast is clear because these people will go extra mile to even kill their family members because of positions. This is the demonic aspect of their hearts. Only the strong and willing can stand “these terrorists with no guns"

But we just cant seat back, fold our arms and expect a true change either. We cant leave politics to be played alone by those who have successfully turn it to being a dirty game. Clean people must be encouraged to go into politics, there is nothing wrong with politics itself, the problem is with the actors/players.

Yes, you've well said but it is a difficult terrain to thread. I know a lot about Nigeria's politics and it is dirty. However, voting is a must for every single able Nigerians who is eligible to vote. But the North never keep amazing me with their subjugation still on the 21st century. They are indeed a problem.

The politicians buys ammunition and guns for able mean men willing to defend their interest from any opposition. I have seen all of these play out and play out well. Killing for political reasons if opponents seems to be the loved by the society at large.

Yes you said the right thing, but i know that only time will tell what becomes of such people. We know them, we see them but a time will come when it will boomerang on them. You just continue to turn ON those little-little light here and there, soon it will altogether become a very mighty light that will chase all the darkness away from our political sphere.

Of course yes, each candle light in thousands bring forth up brightness. And I hope the right thinking will do the needful but I fear for this Country called Nigeria. If only the foundation can be restructured, then greatness await her. Imagine, repetition of nearly everything on paper, Nigeria's archive and government policies but nothing to show for it concrete development. It is such a pity case.
