1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

DaveTech Café is yet to be incorporated which intend to deal on Online registration and application, Selling of scratch card, (typing, printing and scanning) and other cyber activity.
As a result of computer knowledge gained from Ami-Tech computer and also with the entrepreneurship spirit in me.
Core objective is to satisfy customer needs, make research work easy, to contribute to economic growth and development of the country, to be a job creator not job seeker, checking and sending of mails and also to maximize profit. It’s competitive edge is to be ever reliable, accessible and ever efficient.
DaveTech Café will be located adjacent Zenith bank, suleja road, Minna, Niger State. As it is at the centre of Minna, where WAEC,NECO,UTME and all other kinds of online registration is being done. It is by the road side, therefore, I need just a stand (gotten already), table and chairs, umbrella and banner.
DaveTech café intend to start with just two staff ( I and my elder sister). I’ll be working part-time since I’m still in school and my sister who is through with her service already but still jobless will be working full-time.
The total project cost for this plan excluding owners equity is estimated to be #29,500 which would cover payment for the stand, cost of repairs, purchase of equipment, and all other expenses.

2.0 BACKGROUND INFORMATION
2.1 BUSINESS IDEA
We are in a digital world and the daily need for internet services is on the increase and many people around my vicinity travel to a far distance to make photocopy, type, browse and for online registration. The passion I have for computer technology prompted me to open up a café.

2.2 DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS
As a potential business owner, who have passion to succeed despite the short coming in business sector have made up my mind to join information communication technology venture. The target customers population for DaveTech café would include Secondary school student, student of tertiary institution, candidate who wrote exams like UTME, WAEC, NECO etc and are awaiting result, applicants seeking for jobs, civil servants and other working class citizen as well as the general public.

2.3 VISION STATEMENT
To be the best network and service provider in Niger State.

2.4 MISSION STATEMENT
To consistently provide good service delivery and at affordable price.

2.6 HOW I INTEND TO START
Determination in life is the key to success. As an undergraduate with the joint effort of my elder sister who is a fresh graduate is determined to own a business where people will be employed. However, the passion for entrepreneurship prompted me for the establishment with little capital I have already secured a stand to use as my business center. With the grant, I intend to obtain the necessary equipment which are still pending.

I also intend to start with a laptop, 3-in-1 printer and a biometric scanner. DaveTech café hope to achieve and record noble success through the number of customers who had started asking when business will commence due to it’s closeness to the road and high populated students and workers of it’s location. It will be of great advantage to witness a spontaneous increase on network of customers. The staff require for a start are just two including me.

3.0 SWOT ANALYSIS

STRENGTH- Strength is the beneficiary aspect of the business. The strength lies on the educational qualification earned in computing and also good location of the business.
WEAKNESS- Inadequate finance/manpower in accomplishing our full potentials.
OPPORTUNITY- Rate of patronage by customers is on the increased.
THREAT- Existence of competitors, Government regulation/policy.

4.0 FINANCIAL PLAN
4.1 TOTAL PROJECT COST

The total project cost is estimated to the sum of #29,500 excluding the owners equity. This will help DaveTech café to establish in an average level and will cover the functional area of the business.
The below analysis summarizes the cost of fixed asset of DaveTech café.

The grant is required to cover for the purchase of needed equipment/accessories for the business and to establish a well to do café.


This business is very lucrative, during job recruitment or application and exam registration, one can make nothing less than #10,000 on a daily basis. Aside this period, the daily turnover is within the range of #2,000 - #4000. Which will amount to about #50,000 in a month.
that is, (#2000 * 25 days = #50,000) on a normal period. This business is really a goldmine as it is located in a good and strategic location.

really don't know how to write a very convincing business plan but I will just tell you my intention if given the money want to use the money, I plan to use it to start selling second hand(okirika) children wears, which I believe will sustain me and my baby which is of school age but still at home.
This will bring So much difference if I am consider to be a beneficiary cos as a Single mother without family support I find it very difficult to survive and my search for job have not been successful after. I resign from the private laboratory I was Working cos of no payment of salary for about 4months. At the moment I do collect children wears based on trust and return the money after sales, this is what have been sustaining me and my child for some months now.

SNAIL FARMING BUSINESS PLAN

Establishing myself as a snail retailer, I'm surely on the way to immense wealth.

Snail rearing is an effortless task, as it requires less expenditure on food and shelter. They reproduce at a faster rate and the Nigerian markets are always willing to pay for them.


Most Suitable Snail for Rearing in Africa

1. Achatina fulica – The East African land snail, or giant African land snail.

2. Achatina Achatina – Achatina Achatina, commonly named the giant Ghana snail.

3. Archachatina Marginata – Archachatina marginata, commonly named the giant West African snail.

Among these three species, Achatina Achatina is the most desirable for farmers because it grows so big to become the biggest snail species in the world. Achatina Achatina has its origin from Nigeria, get to Liberia from Nigeria and then Ghana.
Achatina-Achatina is very good for commercialization as well, because of its profitability. This is because of the volume of eggs it lays at once. Each achatina lays 300 to 500 eggs at a time in clutches, three times a year.

Therefore, if I start a farm with about 500 snails, in one year I would be getting about 700,000 snails going by the number of eggs they produces.


Soil for Snail Farm:

The most desirable soil for snail is sandy-loamy soil with low water holding capacity. Clayey soil and acidic soil must be avoided.
I can get sandy-loamy soil within my environs.

Getting the Snails for Farming:

If i eventually gets the capital, I will buy some parent snails (about 400 snails).

As an intending Snail farmer, I could pick some snails from the bush with a very simple technique; clear a little portion of land during rainy season and sprinkle spicy fruits like pineapple, pawpaw, plantain, banana etc at about 5pm in the evening, when I go back there about 7pm or 8pm, I will pick up snails suitable for rearing. With this I can increase my snail farms together with snails I will buy due to the extent of the business capital.
I will repeat the procedure until I get enough quantity.

From my experience at home, we normally get snails in the bush with the above technique for cooking.

The Snail House (Snailery):

With my backyard, I think I have enough space to rear snail farms.

I can construct a manageable pen at my backyard with a token (N12,000).

Snaileries can vary from a patch of fence-protected ground, sheltered from the wind to a covered box if you are breeding in small scale.
Wire is useful in keeping away rats and snakes
or other predators from eating the snails in your snail farm.

Feeding:

This is the single most important factor in snail farming. Snails are easy to feed, they will feed on nearly every organic food source that is non-toxic, not hairy/waxy including leaves, fruits, vegetables, tubers and household wastes (that contain no Table Salt (NaCl).
Common food sources include fruits and veggies like banana, melon, cabbage, carrot, pawpaw, cucumber, potato, pumpkin, plantain etc. It will not cost me much to get because I will be buying some from time to time and as well get some in our farm garden.

Some people formulate special feeds for snails but you have to outweigh the cons with the pro. Why buy when you can have it all natural and next to free?
Think of cheaper sources! Fruit markets, gardens and even the bush behind your house.

Snail farming in Nigeria requires small capital and the running cost is very low, hence their feeds are very local.

Working Cost:

a. Construction of Snail pen = N12,000

b. Buying of some matured snails (400 snails)
= N25 per snail from the local sellers
i.e. N25 x 400 snails = N10,000

c. The remaining balance (N8,000) will be use for feeding & Maintainance till I havest and sell out out some snails. The production cycle continues...

Total cost:

N12,000 + N10,000 + N8,000 = N30,000

Profits:

If my start up capital is N30,000 I can generate more than N500,000 in one year.

Imagine harvesting one hundred thousand snails after a year or two and you sold it at a highly reduced price of N50 each, that will give you enough money! (do the calculations).

Wow! Isn’t that a good investment?

printing machine costs about #20000 (twenty thousand naira) HP brand.
I can find a space in my schools computer village for #4000 (four thousand naira) a month.. with my laptop, I can type and print students works including term paper, assignment and even projects..

Finalboss, l am a student of Medicine and struggling. With 30k, l will buy recharge cards and little comsumable goods that students use and sell to students and make little cash to sustain myself and believe it grows as time goes on.

With 30,000, I Will Start By Selling Ladies And Male Wears(Okrika), Underwears, Airtime, On Campus. Then, I Will Sell Foodstuffs ( Garri, Kuli, Rice, Kerosine, Bean And Oil) In The Hostels... These Are Things Student Buy On A Daily Basis, With Time I Believe It Will Grow. I Hope Am Considered.
