You said something about spiritual gifts. What might that be? How can that be? Doesn’t it matter that I'm not religious? I'm from a muslim background though only dad is muslim now. I never went for service throughout boarding school. Never went to church all through university. I don't go to church now.

I managed to go to church for about 6 months last year, which I never felt in my soul nor did I enjoy. I don't understand the happiness in praise and worship. I just don't like church generally, honestly. When I pray on my own, I get bored and yawn a lot. I admire my siblings and mum. They genuinely love working for God. Pray at midnight etc.

I deeply admire everyone and anyone who is devoted to worshipping God genuinely. I want to be like them. I mean, it's peace of mind, who doesn't want that?

But..how does one look forward to Sunday service?

When I was attending church faithfully, I thought I had finally gotten there. That the Holy Spirit had finally hooked me. I even got baptised. Alas, it was not meant to last long. I find I'm back to round of one.


So brother, when you say "gifts", l truly do not get your meaning. I don't see any gift. Kindly explain.

That job I mentioned in my post, I lost it anyway. 2 years after I got it.

Of sins..I do have a temper. I have a very low boiling point. That, I'm struggling with.

However, I've been able to overcome sexual sin. I can't imagine that again.

Good morning Melian. Concerning spiritual gifts, I meant revelatory gifts like discernment, and knowledge, most especially when you don't understand your dreams at all. It's not until you dream about things that will happen, that shows you truly have the gift. Its there, but you can't harness that ability unless you learn how to communicate with the source, lord Jesus.. I had an impartation and activation before I began to gradually operate in revelations .


There's no gift without a calling. Not necessarily being a pastor, evangelist or any of such but being what God says you are. But that should be your quest for now, to know what he has in store for you and what he says you are. The bible says 'no eyes have seen, no ears have heard , nor has it entered into the hearts of men what the lord has in store for those who loves him. 1 Corinth 2:9 But it's revealed by the spirits only through knowledge or discernment of God's voice.

Someone might tell you, you have a gift, don't take it lightly but go and ask God if its true ( prayers) . Prayer is a way of talking to God.



Irrespective of your religious background, what God says you'd be is what you are. You might be sceptical but for once take a reflection. You've received revelations in dreams without knowing the importance of what you have received. The scenario of the lone path you always took in dreams with the white "animal" on your trail. That's a symbolical message to denote. That's knowledge at your disposal. The holy spirit was speaking to you, but your heart was closed.

That's the spiritual level you are exercising unknowingly to you. The bible translates spiritual exercise and manifestations as gifts, but what it really is isn't a gift but a grace for spiritual work. You can't see that gift, but others can see it within you when you share your experiences. I've been there many times. I'm not a 'perfect entity' either. I'm trusting God for greater works.

1 corinth 1:4-6

4.I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

[5] That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

[6] Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

But when I saw your post, I didnt need a prophet to tell me. I perceived it with a confirmation that shook my heart. It was as if I was in ur dreams. That soft spot you feel for God is what you need to hold on to right now. Enrich yourself with wisdom of his words. When I began to study God's word , he began to speak . I used to have my revelations in pictures only, but now I can hear. Yes, I mean HEAR his voice. When I'm used to ' upon this rock I will establish my church', God said to me while I was worshipping ''upon this mountain(height)/ high place I will establish my kingdom, I will encompass you with my glory, I will envision you" Amen. Now, you might be wondering how I heard all this. The fact is I prayed(communicated) and he spoke back to me in parts when my heart was open in my quiet time.


When you pray, let your heart be open unto him. An opened heart requires an open eyes and open ears to receive . Man is no saint. The flesh can do nothing but produce sin .

The only way to conquer sin is by his Words.
In the book of John , it's revealed that the word was made flesh. That same word is said in hebrews 4:12 quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart And that Word is Jesus, the heart and key to the father.

Lastly but not the least, brethren let thy heart be open , don't have a nonchalant attitude towards prayers . Be always ready to receive.

Happy Sunday to everyone. I greet you all in the name of Jesus.


The Lord gave me a message to share on evil guardian spirits. I pray it blesses you all. I will do my best to make this as short as possible, so this message will be broken down in THREE parts.


I cover everyone here that reads this in the blood of Jesus. May your spirits, souls and bodies be guarded by the power in the blood of Jesus. Amen


PART 1
GUARDIAN SPIRITS (evil)


There are some kind of spirits that attach themselves to people. This type of spirit follow people everywhere they go to with a major aim of ruining whatever good that tries to come their way. This kind of spirits are called ‘Spirit guides’ or ‘Guards’ or ‘Guardians’, just like guardian angels. Some of us know them as monitoring spirits, which is their basic duty, ‘to monitor’ or ‘to watch’. So they’re Monitoring spirits and also called Watchers as well.



They are not lower demons but are actually fallen angels who preserve the position of guardian spirits in some people’s lives. They imitate the work of the Holy Ghost by trying to build a relationship with a person, and they disguise themselves as guardian angels from God. They have a very white appearance and usually appear in white gowns or robes.


Many people cannot actually tell if this spirit is following them or not because they do not see them with their physical eyes, but they are there. In the spirit realm, this spirit will usually carry a gun about or a strange blade-like weapon, stalking its victim, following them wherever they go.

So in the physical plane it reflects as thus:

When their victim goes for say, a job interview, the spirit follows them, getting ready to shoot down the job from coming to them, or whatever blessing that tries to come their way.


God revealed the secret working of this spirit to me some time ago, but this time He gave me a clearer revelation. And one of the interesting findings in this revelation is that, I was shown that a guardian spirit can actually possess a person, but they (the guardian spirits), come and go out of the person at different intervals and at will. Unlike demons who like to remain permanently hidden when they possess a body.



Guardian spirits work like guardians in people’s lives. Just like a child is taken care of by a guardian in the absence of his/her parents, so does a guardian spirit work in a person’s life.


There are FOUR basic ways a guardian spirit can come into a person’s life.


1. THE CASUAL WAY: They first appear to their intending victim as good angels. They usually come when the person is born. After the person has grown to about 7yrs or 11, they may appear to the person in a dream or physically. Sometimes it could be at much later time.


The dreams will progress to deep imaginations and then astral projections and they could start seeing this spirit physically with their spiritual eyes. The spirit will tell the person all kinds of things, they try to indoctrinate the person telling them about their secrets that no one knows or telling them things that may happen the next day. They feed their victims with half-truths and half lies to make the whole thing appear so pleasing and swallowable. You know what I mean.



It will be so sad if they win the heart and mind of a person, the spirit guide becomes the closest person in a person’s life and so whatever anyone tells that person will fall on deaf ears, after all they see and talk to their guardian angels right? So they always think they know better than most people, forgetting that God does not allow his angels interact with His children in that way.



That level of relationship is for HIM (the Holy Ghost) alone. That was the reason Jesus came in the first place, to mend the broken relationship between Man and God, and angels have no obligations whatsoever to make some relationship with humans. That is why, everywhere in the bible, it is seen how angels deliver messages to men and women. Straightforward and to the point. They only say what God instructs them to tell a person.




If it gets to the point that a person becomes attached to this evil spirit and talk freely with the spirit, then there’s a BIG problem. It could lead to witchcraft or it could lead to false spirituality. The person will now be able to summon the spirit, or may astral project and always see themselves with this spirit in a dream state. The person may even become a false prophet/prophetess. This can only happen when the person accepts them into their life. Some of these spirits can first appear in a dream or in the physical to a person. If a person rejects them consciously or unconsciously, they (guardian spirit) will try harder to get the person.




I used to know some people controlled by this kind of spirit. Witches especially.
When in a deliverance session, the guardian spirit can be very difficult to battle with. They usually hold the hand of the person (witch/wizard) undergoing the deliverance and torment them severely, threatening them with vain words and curses, warning the person not to accept Jesus Christ during the deliverance session. They do cause a lot of pain. And a deliverance minister must help the victim reduce such torment by following specific instructions from the Holy Ghost when dealing with such spirits.



2. The second way they come in is when a victim is engaged in HABITUAL SIN. Fornication, Masturbation, watching pornography, engaging in dirty thoughts and in the company of corrupt friends, Smoking, Stealing, Drunkenness etc.



When there is an open door, this gives the Spirit guide a free entry into a person’s life for oppression and manipulation.
The basic function of a Spirit Guide is to guide a person in their sinful paths to hell. That is, they teach a person how to masturbate more, fornicate more, steal more, lie more etc. They influence their victims negatively and oppress a victim heavily, influencing them to engage more in their sins like masturbating more frequently than before, trapping them in their own sinful addictions. A person would realize that he/she is growing deeper in habitual sins and have become an evil expert in those sins as time passes by.



There will be a very strong urge to commit sin, and even when the urge isn’t there, the victim will find themselves still committing those sins. The person would not be able to explain what’s really happening, and after the person might have committed the sinful act, he/she may feel very depressed and sorry for themselves.



Guardian Spirits (the fallen angels) can actually possess the body of person, but they do not usually remain inside the body. They are travelling spirits, and always go from one person to another, and one place to another. Unlike, the other type of spirits (lower demons) that intend to possess the bodies of people and remain there permanently. It is the Guardian Spirit that paves a way for other demons to come and possess the body of a person. If you can chase the guardian spirit (fallen angel) away, the demon(s) inhabiting a person will leave, for the guardian spirit is a lord and master over the demons, and he is the spirit that possess the most power that afflicts and torments the victim.



This is one of the kind of spirit that does not go out except by fasting and prayer (Matthew 17:21) For it is a Stronghold spirit, standing on legals grounds in a person’s life. A continuous effort of fasting and prayers mixed with faith is needed to dispel this demon effectively.

PART 2 GUARDIAN SPIRITS (evil)


Guardian Spirits are master coaches in acts of evil, teaching and guiding their victims deeper into their own weaknesses and worldly desires. A haughty person will become more proud than ever as long as this spirit remains. A hot-tempered person will become more hot-tempered as long as this spirit remains. The job of this spirit is to enhance the sin rate in a person’s life and torment a person’s life, shooting down their blessings thereby causing near-success syndrome and delays in a person’s life.



In the revelation teaching God showed me, (I will use non-existent names so that this does not seem to reflect on anyone’s image).



There were two people oppressed by a guardian spirit. The spirit always beat (torment) the life out of these two people. Let’s call them ‘AK’ and ‘BK’.

The guardian spirit was very wicked to these people and it felt like it had a right to beat up this people mercilessly, because he was their guardian. But in real sense, this spirit had no right.AK later got the chance to escape after being disgraced by this spirit, so he left the house where he was tortured by this spirit (He wasn’t totally free though).



But when he thought of how BK was still tortured by this guardian spirit, AK decided to tell his uncle (his closest relative), and a church minister about it. Even some of the neighbours got to know too. Everyone got angry when they heard of what was going on, and so they stormed the house (the place of torture) where the guardian spirit was still tormenting BK.



When they approached the spirit, AK finally found his confidence and began to question the guardian spirit angrily, asking him what right he had over him and BK, other than they were the ones that allowed him come in, in the first place. As AK spoke, he grew more confident and angry knowing fully well that he had the backing of his church and family. He grew stronger.


He grabbed the cane out of the hand of the guardian spirit and beat him up mercilessly. Everyone joined in beating up the spirit, asking ‘ Is this your village’?!!! ‘Is this your village’?!!!... Meaning, Is this your rightful land? Is this your rightful place? Is this your territorial place of possession?
As the spirit was flogged mercilessly, he became half-n*ked and then quickly fled on his heels. The spirit was dispelled. Praise God!



From the teachings and instructions of the Holy Ghost, I advise anyone tormented by this spirit to first expose their sins. Do not hide it.


The first fastest way to remove this spirit is to expose the sin first. Talk about it to your loved ones or church pastor. Though it may be difficult, but it won’t kill you, rather it may save you. For when you expose the sin, the spirit guard will be afraid for it knows what will happen. You will have the support of your church and loved ones, in fasting and prayers and in counselling.
But when a person hides the sin, the spirit will kill that person slowly in their own sin.


Even some born again Christians still have guardian spirits watching them and following them, making them slaves to their own worldly desires and sins. Many just don’t know it yet.


The THIRD way the guardian spirit comes in is:


3. ANCESTRAL WORSHIP: A person should know the background of his/her father, mother, grand mother, grand father etc. If your close relatives worship a particular fallen angel or village god or goddess, then there must have been ties linking a person to a spirit guide fallen angel. Now, the beautiful thing about being a born again Christian is that such ties are broken when you accept Jesus and abide in the will of God. But sometimes, a person may still need to engage in spiritual warfare, and there must be no habitual sin occurring in that person’s life.




4. The fourth way this spirit comes in is by WITCHCRAFT MANIPULATION. When a person is born, sometimes based on beliefs and demonic doctrines, the family of that person may initiate the person into witchcraft or wizardry. This is rather unfortunate, but can be overturned by the blood of Jesus. God will keep this person to an age where he/she has become aware and God will try to deliver the person. But the person must give their lives freely to Jesus and may need to undergo a deliverance session. If a person doesn’t give their life to Jesus, then that person may become an agent of darkness, a witch/wizard and will definitely need to go through a deliverance session.




Evil guardian spirits disgust me in many ways. They put many in bondage that lead to soul corruption, which leads to hell. I feel a strong urge in my spirit to snap their necks, by the power of the Holy Ghost.



Some of these evil spirits cling to some women as a spirit husband, causing delays in marriage. Some come to digress a born prophet to ways of darkness. When a child with a bright future is born, the spirit guides will usually show up in that child’s room, watching the child and tormenting that child. Sometimes, these children would be crying in the middle of the night and parents won’t be able to explain the cause. Sometimes a child could just cry out based on a physical thing, but some other times, it could be caused by the frightful presence of an evil spirit in the room.



Parents, if your child cries in the middle of the night every day, observe the particular hour this happens. It would be at a particular time, either 2am or 3am or past. But if the time is the same for every other nights, what you need to do is take a bottle of anointing oil. Pray on the oil, sanctifying it with the blood of Jesus, anoint the forehead of your child, sprinkle some drops on the windows of the room and round the cradle of your baby. And this will block out the spirit, although it won’t stop the spirit from devising other plans against your child.



Sometimes, this spirit makes children fall very ill almost to the point of death, if that child is tormented because God’s calling on that child’s life, the child will not die no matter how severe the illness or torments may be. So parents must make sure they bring up their kids in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and in the fear of God.



When spirit guides get confused at some point and they realize their path has been blocked, they pace up and down like humans thinking of a new plan to achieve an evil desire. But their plans against God’s children will be aborted in Jesus Name. Amen.

As I said earlier on. This spirit come in benevolent ways, usually dressed in white flowing gowns like good angels, but they come with an evil motive to harm a person, and indoctrinate a person to a false path. They cause injuries, sickness, failures, near-success syndrome, delays, slow growth etc. They love to victimize people by tormenting them and cutting off God’s blessings from coming into their lives. God blesses every one of His children at all times, but these guardian spirits are responsible for cutting off some of those blessings from coming to a person.


SO in conclusion,



A person must expose their sins and not hide them. It is the first and ultimate step to exposing this spirit. Expose the sin! You can inform your spouse, close friend (in Christ) or your church pastor… Anyone close to you that you know can help someway somehow. They will support you in prayers and fasting. Burn your sinful desires. You must be disciplined and work towards stopping all habitual sins.



If this spirit has found a way into your life by some other means other than habitual sin, then you need to be born again in the first place and then engage in warfare prayers or a deliverance session.



Evil guardian spirits are fallen angels, and they are very malevolent and deceptive, that is why it is good to be able to differentiate between God’s own angel and a false angel like the spirit guides. So here are a few tips.



TIPS ON KNOWING TRUE/FALSE ANGELS
1. God’s angels cannot be summoned. Only false angels can.
2. God’s angels cannot and must not be prayed to or worshipped. Only false angels desire this.
3. God’s angels cannot be instructed by a person. Only false angels take instructions from their victim (initiates)
4. God’s angels always bring God’s message to a person, the message IS always in correlation with the word of God in the scriptures. False angels cook lies with half-truths, interpreting the scriptures upside down for deceptive and evil gains.
5. God’s angels do not attach themselves to a person, neither do they create a personal relationship with a person. Only false angels do such.




It is no possible for me to explain all I know about this topic here. But the Holy Ghost is our Teacher and He will guide us into all truth. John 16:13.

There is this story of a little boy that God had called into His work, right from birth. The boy as a baby was always afflicted with sickness always to the point of death. The parents of the boy were always scared and did all they could to stop the terrible illness that always occurred. They even took the boy to native medicine men.



Nothing worked to stop all the near death sicknesses. But as the boy grew to age 11, the evil guardian spirit appeared to him physically and on different occasions, wanting to indoctrinate him, to lure him into darkness. But the boy did not heed to the spirit(by the grace of God), and so the spirit grew angry continued to fight the boy, sending all kinds of sickness and problems to him, for some years. Few years later, Jesus came and let the little boy in on what was happening and who the evil spirit was and revealed its evil purpose against the boy.



And then Jesus told the boy that no matter what, that no one could kill him, not even that spirit. This didn’t stop the evil spirit from trying to torment the boy. The evil spirit guardian knew it was losing its grip over this boy and so it was desperate, now appearing to the boy mocking him. After few more years, in the realm of darkness, this spirit was dethroned from pursuing the boy. He called himself the pursuing guard. And I know that sharing this testimony will be a painful blow to this evil spirit. Ouch!





That little boy was me . And today, I’m glad to see why all these happened in the first place. I’m a living proof of God’s amazing grace and love in the life of His children. God loves us so much, He walks with us every day, telling us secrets and showing us mysteries and saving us from harm. If only we open our hearts a bit more to Him.



For without revelation, a person walks blind. For the Light (Jesus) reveals all the snares that lie in darkness, and Jesus is a Light unto our paths. Psalm 119:105.

Leviticus 19:31 and Deuteronomy 18:10-11 shows,
God is against dabbling into spiritism and/or clairvoyance
Enjoying clairvoyance or entertaining the companies of familiar spirits is a complete no-no and a no-go area

Isaiah 8:19 shows that,
believers are expected to go directly to God and look only to Him for enlightenment. Any other means, expressively is disallowed

1 Samuel 28:7 and 1 Chronicles 10:13 shows,
how foolhardy it is dabbling into spiritism or engaging the services of a consulter with familiar spirits

Acts 16:18 shows that,
no matter how lucrative or advantageous clairvoyance is or dabbling into spiritism or romanticising with familiar spirits may be,
these familiar spirits &/or demons parading & disgusing as guardian angels buckle under the command & mention of the name of Jesus Christ
and get exorcised, driven out, completely removed from one's mind, memory or place.

Luke 8:30-31 shows that,
unlike the spirit in Acts 16:18 above, some demons or familiar spirits aren't only scary (e.g. 1 Samuel 28:12) but can be actively aggressive
but thanks to God, the good news, the gospel, is that demons or familiar spirits can be calmed down and told to go to hell, literally.

There is this story of a little boy that God had called into His work, right from birth. The boy as a baby was always afflicted with sickness always to the point of death. The parents of the boy were always scared and did all they could to stop the terrible illness that always occurred. They even took the boy to native medicine men.



Nothing worked to stop all the near death sicknesses. But as the boy grew to age 11, the evil guardian spirit appeared to him physically and on different occasions, wanting to indoctrinate him, to lure him into darkness. But the boy did not heed to the spirit(by the grace of God), and so the spirit grew angry continued to fight the boy, sending all kinds of sickness and problems to him, for some years. Few years later, Jesus came and let the little boy in on what was happening and who the evil spirit was and revealed its evil purpose against the boy.



And then Jesus told the boy that no matter what, that no one could kill him, not even that spirit. This didn’t stop the evil spirit from trying to torment the boy. The evil spirit guardian knew it was losing its grip over this boy and so it was desperate, now appearing to the boy mocking him. After few more years, in the realm of darkness, this spirit was dethroned from pursuing the boy. He called himself the pursuing guard. And I know that sharing this testimony will be a painful blow to this evil spirit. Ouch!





That little boy was me . And today, I’m glad to see why all these happened in the first place. I’m a living proof of God’s amazing grace and love in the life of His children. God loves us so much, He walks with us every day, telling us secrets and showing us mysteries and saving us from harm. If only we open our hearts a bit more to Him.



For without revelation, a person walks blind. For the Light (Jesus) reveals all the snares that lie in darkness, and Jesus is a Light unto our paths. Psalm 119:105.

You don't sound foolish at all. Good questions. I encourage everyone to always ask questions when something isn't very clear.


Yes.. It is VERY wrong to say 'I command the angels of God'. People have a misconception and believe they can actually command angels of God to do their bidding. Angels only take instructions from God and not man. They cannot be commanded or instructed by us. It's only God that command angels to help us. Search the scriptures, it's everywhere.. Numbers 20:16, Daniel 3:17-18, Daniel 6:22, Acts 12:5-11, etc.


There is no place in the scriptures that man has ever commanded an angel. Angels only take commands from God.


It is fair to say 'I pray the Lord to send His angels to help me...'(Psalm 91:11). That's a good prayer point, and not 'I command the angels''' NO.
False angels MAY show up instead if this is constantly repeated.



Secondly, your statement wasn't completed, your pastor could have meant something else.
There is always an angel of God that is in charge of a genuine church of Jesus Christ. This means that God puts an angel in charge of a ministry. In charge here means.. 'To watch over'. 'To defend'. 'To help'.


This angel's work is basically to protect the church from demons coming in.

The Lord has showed me how this happens in the spirit realm. I might share that some other time.


So, your pastor could have meant 'The angel God has put in place over the church/ministry', and not that the angel is in physical communication or direct relationship with him or the ministry.



What i meant by angels not attaching themselves to humans is that true angels of God do not form relationships with us. So that's different. Only false angel will constantly visit a person, and form a close relationship with that person, just like a friend. That's what fallen angels do.



Some children who are initiated into witchcraft, like the ogbanje will usually see and speak to these fallen angels when no one even sees the false angel. So the child could be seen laughing or talking to himself/herself sometimes and when asked about it, he/she can decide to deny it or actually tell a person that they are talking to their friend. It's actually the spirit guide (fallen angel/demon) the child is talking to. That is a false angel that has bonded (forged a relationship/covenant) with it's victim.

I had a dream few days ago and forgot a little but major portion of it. I have been praying for God to reveal it to me again but I haven't gotten a feedback. I had been praying to God to reveal His purpose for my life at my current location and the dream seemed to be an answer to that prayer.

In the dream, I was in a room and I seem to overhear my church Pastor telling my mum (they seemed to be doing a vigil in another room) that I will be doing 'A' and 'B'. Of course, 'A' and 'B' were positive things but I started to cry in the dream. Not long after, my mum walked into the room about to tell me what I had heard and I told her in tears that I already know.

I woke up forgetting immediately what 'A' was even though I still vividly remember 'B'. I wasn't scared (no fear) when I woke up so I doubt it is from the devil. I have tried going through God's word to either remind me or point it to me but it's like I am too distracted by some things happening at work right now. So, I decided to bring it here.

A lot of times the enemy wages war against destiny revealing dreams, so a lot of time resilience and continued fighting and praying is necessary to achieve and recover.

I woke up forgetting immediately what 'A' was even though I still vividly remember 'B'. I wasn't scared (no fear) when I woke up so I doubt it is from the devil. I have tried going through God's word to either remind me or point it to me but it's like I am too distracted by some things happening at work right now. So, I decided to bring it here.

first of all I am a Christian, born and brought up in a Christian home, dedicated in the church at my birth. In 2011 I gave my life to Christ and subsequently got filled with the holy spirit though I lived a lukewarm Christian life even after receiving the holy Ghost. Fastforward to 2012 immediately after my waec and neco exams I started to experience severe oppressions, I never knew what they we're only that when I will be on my bed and most times it was in the late morning and early afternoon I would struggle to get up but I couldn't, I would scream for help from my mum and Jesus. when I finally got freed I would go to my mum and ask her "didn't you hear when I was shouting ur name" she would reply no. That was when my parent knew that I was being oppressed and encouraged me to be prayerful. My father of blessed memory was a very spirit filled man and he would pray for me at all times, even on one occasion in the night I was struggling on my bed when I saw someone with a very big head and a spear came and was about to press me with it, I screamed Jesus and it disappeared. due to my lukewarm Christian lifestyle ,I ran to my dads room to call him in d middle of d night so that he can pray for me, even while my dad was praying and blasting in tongues I fell asleep.
During this period before my admission into the university, my friend introduced me to watching pornography and I continued to experience oppressions, I really did not care about christainty in any way just a normal Sunday Christian.
fast forward to 2014, my father died and this pushed me closer to God, fastfoward to 2015,while on campus I joined a fellowship and became very fervent in the spirit always blasting in tongues and all that. during impartation I received the gifts of healing and prophesy which i operate in sometimes. subsequently I was made a leader in my fellowship and since then the devil has been fighting me real hard especially with pornography. sometimes I find myself watching it even when I dont want to. sometimes i will stop then the urge to watch it will come on again, I am tired as this is really affecting my walk with God. it is so bad that sometimes when I am reading the Bible pornographic images flashes my mind.I don't know what to do I feel the problem is maybe because the don't fellowship enough with God and probably the friends I keep dont really help matters and most of the times I am idle. pls I need you advice because I need to dump this act for good.

The devil wanting to bring down someone will not use alcohol to tempt someone who doesn't drink alcohol, cigarette to some who neither like to smoke nor like the smell or use women to tempt someone who doesn't flirt. The devil uses the sinful act we enjoy most when we were still sinners and haven't received Christ because we are bound to fall.

The only reason why the devil usually bring pornographic pictures to your mind is to tempt you,the devil sole purpose is get you thinking about it and the moment you let the pictures settle in your mind and fantasize about it,then you are most likely to fall back fully into your sinful act which will draw you back into his (devil's) cage and away from the God. The devil knows the bible More than we do and he knows this scripture when God says Hebrews: 10. 38. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Now to the solution you first of all need to draw close to God because the bible says inJames: 4. 7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
The way to draw near to God is to first desire it,desire more of Jesus and move away from all that might trigger your old sins including friends that might bring to your remembrance your sinful life and every other things that might draw you back.

Secondly,Romans: 12. 2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Sister you need to renew your mind and the way you can do that is to have the Word of God in you. You need to read and study daily the Word of God because the Word of God will shine the light of God in your heart and mind thereby helping to eliminate evil and sinful thought replacing it with the things of God. Hebrews: 4. 12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Thirdly and lastly sister, Philippians: 4. 8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

All of what the bible ask to think on will be derived from the Word of God which is why it has to come before this. This is a deliberate act,whenever the devil tries to bring an evil picture, fight and resisting it by deliberately thinking of the pure things of God and then you see the devil fleeing from you with he's evil thought. If you follow this steps sis, you will be amazed at how God will wonderfully use you for the work of His glory.

The thing is I really Enjoy the presence of God and the holy spirit in my life and I be had countless experiences which i will share from time to time here

But now how do I stir up the gifts that I have received from God, I strongly believe that I have an assignment to fulfill on earth as regards propagating Gods kingdom and I'm sure that's why the devil is really trying hard to get me to veer off from the will of God, but he has failed already.
