It's currently not in service as of last week, but they've ordered for them.
I should have made a little modification to the statement i made on it.

I don't think Operation Burst is as active as before. Same can be said of "Swift Action Squad" in Osun.

SAS is still active. They were deployed during the recent Ife crisis. They got a surprised attack launched on them by some robbers too in which their vehicle really saved them(Armored Hilux) by Proforce.
OP Burst should still exist. The last time I heard of them, seems FG pulled out NA guys so they are left with NSCDC and NPF.

Respect to Skynet Squad too.

Notice my choice of word: "as active as before".
SAS is still active but not on same scale as when they were newly set-up.
Apart from the Armored APC used by SAS "MOPOL", i'm not aware of any armoured Hilux in their arsenal.
BTW, is Osun still making use of Armoured Hilux from Proforce?

The reason i'm asking is that, i'm of the opinion that MOST(if not all) of those armoured Hilux-es(1 per LG with the exception of Ife, Osogbo and Ilesa) were recalled/replaced with those Big APC (that can compete with Bigfoot MRAP for height grin), and all the hilux-es being driven(apart from the above mentioned ones) are not armored.

I haven't seen them in service since then, if not that you claimed you do now.

Operation Burst is still in existence nah. Was in IB couple of months ago, saw 4 of their vehicles in transit at Iwo Road.

DCD Protected Mobility of SA manufactures the vehicles. Critical Solutions International puts together all the systems like ground-penetrating radars, sensors etc. It's a smart arrangement really. CSI gets the contracts from the US Govt and 5 or 6 companies get in on action they otherwise wouldn't on their own. I see even Denel Mechatronics is in there.

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE: ALSALAM AEROSPACE EXPRESSES DESIRE TO PARTNER NAF

The Alsalam Aerospace Industries of Saudi Arabia has expressed the desire to be involved in the line Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) C-130H aircraft. This was disclosed today by the Vice President of the company, Aloraifi Abdulaziz when he led other top management team on a courtesy visit to the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar at the Headquarters NAF in Abuja. The delegation had earlier inspected the NAF C-130 facilities in Lagos and presented its report to the NAF for consideration and possible collaboration.

In his response, the CAS reaffirmed the importance of the C-130 aircraft in support of the counterinsurgency operation in the North East and urged the company to look beyond the commercial benefit by focusing on the humanitarian aspect. “We thank you for coming and we believe you have all it takes to support the NAF and by extension humanity. We have no doubt that you have the excellent capacity to deliver based on your technical know-how. We therefore urge you to consider the partnership as service to humanity,” Air Marshal Abubakar said.

Hopefully this means we would soon see the other C-130s put back to service.

Also this puts to rest the poorly informed comments that Denel is in-charge of the maintenance of NAF C-130s.

Senegal's Dozor-B Armored Vehicles. seen on parade.

These were either from Ukraine or its Polish variant. There's high probability it's from the Polish considering it sports 2 Gun ports.

I think i'm in love with the white wall of the wheel... China inspired.

Exposing your ignorance, again?
Regular maintenance is the preserve of the NAF and any other C-130 operator. The major milestone stuff that requires the manufacturer, is done by Denel Aviation on behalf of Lockheed.
You seem so hurt by this it's reducing you to any desperate clutching of straws and wonky reasoning.
Dennys Plessas, Vice President Business Initiatives at Lockheed Martin, has reason to feel better about what the American aerospace giant is getting from its South African maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) agent than it is from those holding the purse strings of the national Defence budget.

He told defenceWeb there are currently 120 of the company’s best known product – the C-130 Hercules – in service on the African continent with only Tunisia, at this stage, operating the latest J model Super Hercules.

“That many aircraft need maintenance and I’m happy with what our MRO, Denel Aviation, is achieving in this regards,” he said adding he had “only last week” referred another operator to the Ekurhuleni-based Lockheed Martin approved maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider.

Seems you don't read properly at night. The bolded is specifically for you. It does not say routine maintenance, clearly stated, complete MRO.

So, do well to continue arguing with yourself.

In 2014, MRO on NAF C-130 was carried out by the Nigerian Air Force AESTL and Sabena technical.

Also in 2014 another MRO was carried out on NAF 913 in Nigeria in partnership with Bcgneeds.

So, were is this phantom maintenance contract with Denel coming from, most likely from the deluded minds of some certain South-Africans, as usual.

Henry, for you: when Denel got its accreditation back in 2010.

South African aerospace company Denel Aviation on Monday announced that US group Lockheed Martin had granted it accreditation for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of Hercules C-130 transport aircraft.

The company is now one of only nine accredited Hercules C-130 airframe service centres in the world and the only one in Africa.

There are an estimated 140 Hercules aircraft, including the C-130 and its L100 civil version, flying in Africa.

The process of acquiring accreditation started in March 2007, when Lockheed Martin performed a site survey of Denel Aviation's MRO facilities in Kempton Park. The US firm audited all Denel's maintenance and support facilities, after which Denel submitted a C-130 business case.

In October 2007, the US State Department gave approval for the export of required technical information from Lockheed Martin, which would enable Denel Aviation to operate as an accredited Lockheed Martin C-130 service centre.
However, the process was delayed for some months in 2008 to allow for, among other issues, a newly devised support services agreement, that set the standard for all Lockheed Martin Hercules service centres globally.

Completely different from what the Saudis are offering you. In fact, the question should be: after so many years of C-130 operation why is there no Nigerian company, public or private than can render those services which the NAF cannot perform and which also don't require the manufacturer or his agent?

Exactly what I called regular maintenance.
And guess what, Alsalam engages Marshall Aerospace in the UK when Royal Saudi AF aircraft require milestone manufacturer work. And what does Marshall have in common with Denel Aviation? Even you should get this. They're 2 of the 10 Authorised C-130 Hercules Service Centers globally.

Actually, it's Henry and Frumentius. I'd make the same argument even if it were not Denel Aviation and some company in say Morocco, were Lockheed Martin's only African accredited service centre.
