Former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has blamed former Nigeria’s leaders for the problems currently facing the country.

Oshiomhole was speaking at the first Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia Memorial lecture, tagged, “Nation Building and Development in Nigeria,” organised by the University of Abuja.

The former NLC President noted that the elites who supervised the restructuring of Nigeria from three regions to 37 states were responsible for Nigeria’s problems.

The ex-governor said those leaders having ruled and superintended over Nigeria for more than three decades, and now in civilian uniforms, were going about criticizing governments.

“Once our elites are out of government, they bring down the bridges of government. Our old elites have no right having messed up yesterday.

“The task of nation building must not be compromised by our elites who have benefitted from Nigeria through education and more.

the menace of corruption is ingrained in the DNA of the average Nigerian...
From the course reps to the SUG President...
From the lecturer to the VC...
From the gate man to the police and army...
From the motor park tout to the federal road safety corps...
From the civil servant who goes to work by 10am and signs in the time book as 7.30am to the politician who is the Ambassador of corruption...
From the student seeking admission via 'runs' to the admission officer...
From the housewife who inflates prices on the list for weekend shopping to the trader who increases the price of mango due to dollar scarcity.... etc... etc. The list is Endless.
our politicians were first citizens before venturing into politics...
Corrupt citizens will definitely become corrupt politicians including Adams Oshiomole.

THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIA IS NIGERIANS.

Uncle Oshiomole, you're part of the past leaders who messed up this country so you too be quiet. You're as guilty as those you're trying to call out. Even your so called present(president) is also part of the past.

This beast again? Continue with the blame game when the masses are massively suffering. Okay, the past leaders performed badly but the current ones are finally destroying the little that was left behind!

The current president Buhari, is he not among the past leaders?

You should be asking Northerners and South West why they believe in past leaders?

He's not excluded at all, or he has forgotten so soon how we worked with government in faking strikes during his tenure as the NLC leader then. Whenever, govt gives him own portion of the nationl cake, then the strike will be cancelled. Pot is calling kettle black. BUSH OF THIEVES AND SELFISH PEOPLE.
