Dear Nairalanders,

beware of this numbers 07015036396, 08038696540, 08027534500 (Ayodele Charity, Tunde or Charis Bakers, Port Harcourt City )
. Be wary of dealing with them, both of them are scammers .

please I want the Nairaland admins to open a thread where numbers of those that swindle or attempt to swindle innocent nairalanders can be posted, so that people can come to check and verify numbers before dealing with them.

the above scammers just stressed life out of me yesterday to send my product to them before payment in which they have alterior motive, after giving them options that will be fair to me and to them, but as i already made it my policy not to send my phone to anyone unless i get paid for it. i will never attempt to scam anyone here, and i have a reputation of 6 years on Nairaland to protect.

lets continue to expose them and protect the vulnerale ones among us..

thank you all

im selling desk/table phone on nairaland, here is the thread i opened for it....https://www.nairaland.com/3635260/gsm-desk-land-phone-sim

in all the threads, i stated categorically that, i can only do payment on delivery and free delivery throghout lagos state only, but if you are ordering from outside, i gave out this options, and this is a quote fom the threads

"Good morn,
for those of us that are ordering from outside Lagos, there are ONLY two options available for the transaction to go through, thus
1. if you are ordering outside lagos, and you make a request, i will provide my bank account details, after which after getting the alert or confirmation, i will go to any interstate bus terminal or any of my clients choice within Lagos to send the item, and the waybill born by the customer.
2. my customer/client can give the amount for the item to any driver/person coming to Lagos from wherever he/she is, and we shall agree on phone where or which bus terminal to come and deliver the item and collect my payment from such driver/person.

please if any person is interested in the item and he/she is not comfortable with the above payment options should rather get the item elsewhere. any other payment is not accepted.

any other payment options such as "Nairaland Escrow"/crytocurrencies which im hearing for the first time since 2010 that i joined nairaland, from an "interested nairalander from the east", is highly and out-rightly not acceptable"

the above method, i believe offered protection to both me being the seller and the buyer wherever you are, i think thats fair enough, but for one of them to let me bother myself going to the park of which i told him to mention a bus terminal of his choice and on getting there with the phone, of a driver an confirm that i have brought the phone, he will just credit my account and the driver will bring it down to him, after going as far as 40km to his terminal of choice to handover the item to a driver coming, he had to tell the driver that he doesnt trust me that d driver should bring the phone to PHC befor he can send my money to him, this is an item of just #12500 as agreed, even the driver was disappointed that he is seeing the phone now , that he doesnt think this man(I) can cheat him, but he declined, that was when i realise he is a scammer. i have sold and bought cars worth #500k on Nairaland and wont tarnish my image because of a #12500 deskphone.

and during the whole scenario, he was just changing his numbers dat we were communicating with, he also barred incoming calls from me in such a way that i couldnt call him, he can only initiate d cal before we communicate, so when i complained to him, he now temporarily enabled my call to come in to his...these are obviously the way scammers do when they are attempting to swindle...let us all beware...
the other one (okwaifugo) was telling me i should send the product that because he doesnt trust me, he would use one "Nairaland Escrow" which i have never heard in my life, when i told him im not interested he had to resort to insulting me on whatsapp, and i believe that was as a result of the fact that he was pained that his tactics didnt work on me.
thanks for your interest

You must be having a mental disorder.
Do you know I can sue you for character assassination.

Why will I send money to you?
I requested we use of a moderator or any well known Nairaland member as escrow or send with a driver I pay the driver.

After two months our chats ended and you came back now to call Me a scam?

Are you sniffing hard substance ?

even no intelligent nairalander would hearken to your advice of not dealing with me...im always innocent as ever..good day

why did you contact me when you already know aordered and know the price from jumia...and meanwhile, my phone is quiet different from what you ordered from jumia, it was when i declined that you told me you already got the phone at alesser price....so u decided to try your luck first from me, and meanwhile why didnt you tell me to take the phone to the address in OGUDU which is in lagos here, rather than telling me to send it to you in PHC, why didnt you tell jumia to deliver to you in PHC.....

Show me when I told you I'm living in PHC?
It is non of your business to force me trade with you.

How did I scam you. Are you aware of what the word scam means?

Did you consult your dictionary before using it on my person?

The phone I bought is non of your business.
It works perfectly well. In my office and serves its purpose.

I want you to state clearly how I scammed you if you do not do it in your next post, I won't comment again rather wait for serious legal action from me.

how does the law treats MURDER and ATTEMPTED MURDER??
Re: Avoid These Scammers!!! by Nobody: 1:56pm On Apr 16, 2017
i will delete the thread, but just because you have slightly convinced me that you actually intend to buy a phone for yourself then, and checking your profile indicates that you have been on NL for a while, and its not my intention to tarnish your image or reputation.

but next time, be more open in your dealing with people especially when it comes to online.

the mods can help delete the thread, meanwhile i will erase and modify previous and other ones.

I need a well tendered Apology young man.
You might think this is a joke but be rest assured that when the full weight of the law comes upon you, you will have a deep regret.

I'm waiting for your apology. Don't make it cost you a lot in future.

I judged the based on the way they related with me.. And I'm not regretting what I posted about him... He has another place to get his phone at a cheaper option before trying his luck on him... I won't allow him to swindle me before ranting, I already knew his intentions that day and no going back on my opinion on him... I can go back and put his number there... Don't complicated issues for him... Am I clear?!
Re: Avoid These Scammers!!! by Nobody: 3:09pm On Apr 16, 2017
Why didn't he tell me to deliver the phones to his Lagos address and I get paid over there... But when he wanted to get from Jumia, he gave Jumia Lagos address to deliver it there..... I know it is intentions and I didn't fall for it... He should post our conversation here if he has it.. Sheyb he still has Jumia transaction alert

Why did you remove his number? Cos you just found out he isn't a scammer? We're still on the same page. I was only advising you to make your findings well before arriving at conclusions. The more you drag this thing here, the more you're doing damage to his name and yours too.

I'm being neutral here.

I checked his profile and to some extent I think it won't be fair to damage his reputation yet, but I have my reservations about him.. That does not mean I or others shouldn't be careful about him.... Because in my thread, I already posted the options for those interested from other state, still he cam to me with some sort of nairaland escrow which I have never hear of, and when I told him I'm not interested in that because I don't know how it works, the next message from him was.. He already saw my phone on Jumia at a cheaper price. I if that is the case why did he come to me then?!! I I have my reservations

The fact that someone didn't trust you doesn't label him/her a scammer.

I don't think trying to be careful before making a transaction is bad.

And an Escrow is a financial arrangement where a third party holds and regulates payment of funds required for the parties involved in a transaction.
