My dear, truly if you have a good job you are doing outside Nigeria, please don't leave it. Nigeria is a mess of a country with so many fake things. You can't enjoy good electricity, good road. In the night every street will be making a huge noise continously in an attempt to creat electricity. Again Nigeria don't have good hospitals that's y government officials rushes outside for treatment. No security at all cos police is fighting to survive tru corruption.etc General hardship is a plaque majority is suffering from. Go to USA embassy or any foreign embassy, you will be surprise to see million of people in line looking for visas.
But despite all the above you will enjoy the company of your family, eat more of organic natural local delicacies like efo riro etc I mean very fresh vegetables. Etc

SA is a beautiful country minus the xenophobia ish, which happens once in a while and mostly in the location( usually that's where most South Africans lives)

I live in joburg,so I don't know much about other provinces... but from the little I know, jozi,is the business hub of SA, ...

Living standards here is on the average depending on what business u ar into, but social amenities re same wit what u see in Europe ...

But please while coming, come prepared, Cox life is never a bed of roses..

Op I think Nigeria is worst saying this because if most other African countries can boast of half the natural resources Nigeria is boasting of,I think they'll Perform much better , at least I know most African countries can pride themselves with steady power , Something Giant of Africa is struggling on since her independence . Yes and No. Depends on what you intends to do there. I know of peeps in African country that does legitimate business and he is far far better than other peeps in Europe, Ameriac or other glorified countries.

Thanks for betraying your emotion. The joblessness is not the problem, the real problem is your attitude towards the joblessness. Truth is, your new job, is to find a job. So, you can change your attitude and drop that certificate and be wise. Security job is not really a job. Find something to do with your hands and ask the Universe to bless the work of your hand. Those countries you want to travel to, where built by hands of others and I am sure they are not super excited to see foreigners coming to pillage on the opportunities they created. Become a farmer and replicate nature. This is another ancient wisdom.

Become a farmer and get a handiwork, ,,, what will I tell my old parents who were struggling to and fro to see me make it through school? *I want to farm*

I know you are feeling the same way but we have more hypocrites among our youths that's why our old thieficians keep exploiting us.

leave this country, make it and come back to invest here. but if you're from a poor home thinking You can make it like that here, you are a joke.

Non of those our politicians made it in Nigeria, majority of them returned from abroad after making it big, except those who were born with silver spoon

Why are you guys mentioning these North African countries?. Those places are worse for a Black African than anywhere in Europe.

Op seeks to go to Black Africa, not Arab Africa. I would never live in such countries.

Bros listen to the video.

Nice Video, always supporting an ideology that you must develop and build everything you want and that is a legacy. Africans are always traveling, searching for how to enjoy the inventions of other races. It is core truth, a bitter one.

We don't appreciate what you have until you loose it. Every bad thing that you mention up there are in most African nations. Nigeria is not among the worst african country. Ask the returnees from those African countries
Oga those returnees were mostly illegal immigrants
Life can't be easy for them.

And the have been deported back, so the will only have bad things to say grin

The problem you have mentioned exists only because you are not exposed to information that can change your life. You are on the internet and there are things you can do on the internet that can make you a billionaire over time, but we are too lazy to read and research. I personally feel I should retire from all endeavors and develop an EPI that will enable me conduct all businesses right from home and on the internet. There is so much money to make and Americans are doing it. I dont know why Nigerians always think of traveling when all you need to make money is digitized already and you only need understand that we are moving towards a world of IoTs. You guys need to start thinking outside the box, because the entire educational system was designed for slavery. The certificate is nothing more than a certification to show that you are qualified to 'work', for somebody directly or indirectly, by working for a corporate entity owned by someone. Is that not slavery ?

You all must understand not to care what people will say, what parents will say and know that the world has changed. Even if you work for 20yrs and earn 200k per month, you cant still afford a good house in a good town like Lekki, Lagos where at least the air is clean to sustain longer life. Ignore what the world says, get your hands on skill and love your future. This is my advise, I am not asking you to take it, but I am hoping someone out there will get the message and disconnect himself from a systemic slavery orchestrated by the Lords of the land.

Op for the sake of your sanity, peace of mind and enjoyment go to Nairobi. RSA would have been a good option, but you never know who'll attack you even if you do a legit business there.

Apart from that, one thing you should know is that the name "Nigerian" keeps people on their toes. It's the result of what our criminal brothers have done o'er the years.

Even in Kenya, a lot of 'em actually detest (yes, I used that purposely) Nigerians. So you've to take it in your stride and prove that you're a different kettle of fish.

Accra is a good place too. But there are too many Nigerian internet fraudsters out there. I don't want you suffering for what you're not involved in -- from the look of things those guys are going to get some serious backlash from peace-loving Ghanaians soon.

All in all, wherever you're, remember the people back home and say a prayer for this country that God specially created to be great, but useless leaders came with other ideas. Maybe God will heal our land someday... Maybe not.

But never cease being a law abiding Nigerian.

All the best.

So brothers and sisters just like the title suggests is it really worth it relocating to an African country or is it the proverbial tale of moving from frying pan to fire?

Are all African (west African specifically) just as bad and corrupt as Nigeria with no care about their citizens? Are unemployment, inflation and corruption the order of the day?Is Africa as a whole cursed or is it just Nigeria that is being plagued with bad leaders?

Your inputs are needed here nairalanders. Is relocating to an African country really worth it or should we all just hustle for western countries?

PLS DON'T JUST VIEW AND PASS,DROP A COMMENT.

Stay where you are. Your mates are hustling and you are looking for an easy way out.

you are selfish , you're talking of retiring from all your endeavors without considering the fact that the person you're talking to have no endeavor to retire from and govt has no plans for him.

if I were you, I have a good job and had worked for two years, I would have retired years ago to face my empire but you're still here thinking of retiring...
