Starting a business with 5m, especially as a beginner in business, is not advisable.

People may tell you all manner of things but when you venture into it, you may regret it.

#5m is starting big, and businesses that start big don' t last.

You worked very hard for this money, why not go for a business you can start with, say 200k and keep the rest.

In business, expansion is more important. When the business starts growing, then you can add more money with caution.

Pick up a pen and write down the businesses you're passionate about, your area of strength, businesses with higher demand, goods and services that customers are not satisfied with and are complaining, and many other areas.

After doing this you'll know where to start from. Food business, for example, is fast selling.

If you know you cannot keep money, that is, something might whisk it away from you, tie down a portion of it in real estate.

Finally, don't get carried away by fancy business plan. As we both know, Theory and Practicals are not the same.

Well kudos to you for even to startbup your own business but the best time to start a business it is when you are still actively working at least God forbid if anything go wrong in the business you can rise again.

At this point in time, if you are still thinking on what to do with the money you have save it means you didnt plan well before you think of going into business. You could have done all this before you resign, get the business yiu want to start on ground because as it is now if care is not taking you can end up spending this money gradually. Therefore, l advise you to pray and let God led you to actual business that will bring you Joy, profit and happiness. What people dont understand is that, business is not all about making profit alone, your passion for that business it all what you need. There is no business that doesnt have profit it all depends on how you package it. We have seen someone making just cakebeans (akara) that built houses and living on it, as well as bikeman built houses and cater for his family and upgraded from there . a lot but many people going into the business because they see their neighbor or someone doing it and is making money, this mentality has to be change.

My advise are pray, locate your passion for any business because passion will be your driving force when you face little challenges in the business because be rest assure that there are challenges to overcome in a business. Dont let this discourage you they can not last, it will only take you to the next level.
