My point is simple if the op feels that the guys are out of line then he should suggest legal action rather than reminding the north how they can kill and get away with it, and the south how they can do nothing about it.

Even countries that live and breathe 'rule of law' record cases of lawless actions every now and then, the recent example being England. If by civilians you refer to victims of the Army's containment of criminal disobedience like the Shiites and IPOB protesters who were constituting a threat to public order, then I disagree with the 'innocent' tag you attached to them. I am yet to hear of any law-abiding civilian that was killed by the military in their houses or offices conducting lawful business.

The repercussions of both actions are the same; naming a cow after the President and slaughtering it on the biafran remembrance day is willful provocation and incitement because it is highly symbolic.

2. The Vanguard newspaper is a trusted and reputable source of news for the last 30 years at least, and the report will be taken as fact by their readership which includes northerners except the publication publishes a retraction.

P.S you are beginning to conflate issues; the OP never claimed that the Nigerian Army or Northern youths would actually attack anyone because Buhari or any northern politician was insulted. He was making them mindful of the LIKELY backlash based on what happened when Sardauna was killed and Igbos taunted northerners about it.

Bottom line: There is absolutely NO propaganda in the OP's submission because (a) the reputable Vanguard newspaper reported the news (b) the OP was warning his brethren about their indiscretion and likely consequences based on historical precedence and (c) the OP's assertions of northern military dominance is absolutely true.
