chkil0: attention everybody, the court is in session. in light of the new evidence presented by chkil0 , the temporary claim granted to henry240 stands revoked his honor is contemplating imposing fines on henry240 for attempt to mislead the court and orders ( strictly commands ) henry240 to do community service by posting pics of pretty female soldiers. his honor thanks chkil0 for his contribution to closure of the darn confusing case and has also decided to award chkil0 to do community service for remaining AWOL by posting pics of pretty female soldiers. the aspirations and desires of the common masses must be served by the select few as a reminder that nobody messes with his lordship the case is hereby closed and unfortunately nemesis2u is resigning from his lordship citing too much headache due to such cases 2 Likes |

Dassault Aviation and its Indian partner Reliance Defence has launched an industrial partnerships initiative with 60 Indian and 25 French defense companies to kick-start offset partnerships for the US $8.85 billion Rafale combat aircraft deal. Dassault will have to invest half the amount of the Rafale deal i.e $4.42 billion in India as per the rules of offset obligations of country's defense procurement policy. Out of 50%, France will invest 30% in military aeronautics-related research programs and 20 % fund will be invested in Indian defense firms which will make components of Rafale. Under the contract, $31.25 million will be in direct investment term which is expected to arrive from France's Dassault via its Dassault Reliance Aviation Ltd (the joint venture between both the companies) by the end of this year. aside from Indian general stupidity, they must be lauded for their bargaining skills that too against the french who r stingy |

Chinese Yuzhao-class (Type 071) landing platform dock (LPD) The Type 071 LPDs are 210 m long and displace more than 20,000 tonnes. Equipped with a hangar that can accommodate up to four medium-lift helicopters, such as the Harbin Z-8, they can also fit four Yuyi-class (Type 726) air-cushioned landing craft in the well deck. For amphibious operations the Type 071 LPDs are likely to embark between 600 and 800 troops

Re: Technical Discussions On International Military Equipments Doctrines Tactics Etc by Nobody: 7:51pm On Jun 17, 2017 |
jakeporeshenko: Rafale H (India) is based on F3R with lots of India specific customization's as mandated by IAF , near about 20-25% of the costs of the whole deal is for these customization's. eg. 1.the aircraft is to be optimized for nuclear weapons delivery, this will involve lots of additional EMP shielding, strengthened weapons pylons to carry heavier nuclear bombs/missiles etc etc. 2.integration of IAF designated Israeli HMD 3.integration of Litening G4/G5 targeting pod from Israel 4.New IRST channel on FSO or completely a new IRST with samtel/thales co venture. 5.Customized RBE 2 AESA radar with Indian software to make it compatible to fire indigenous/foreign BVRAAMs of IAF choice . 6.Customized safran M88 4E engines suited to Indian operating conditions 7.integration of PGMs like SPICE 250 / Indian made PGMs 8.integration of encrypted Indian datalink 9.integration of brahmos NG. 10.customized SPECTRA EW system to handle India specific threats. etc etc 1 Like |

just for info in theory EMP shielding for nuclear delivery aircraft's generally involves completely wrapping copper wires ( or other suitable materials ) around the aircraft. exact technology is classified SU30 MKI under command of strategic nuclear force were EMP shielded against nuclear blast, it was a costly and time consuming process and what they exactly did is also classified. |

in return the french will have to help the Indians get the Kaveri jet engine operating to its desired thrust, so that it can replace the American engine in LCA actually it is a stray vibration issue at higher speed in military wet thrust with kaveri engine when the the resonance frequency of X order occurs causing the Blisk blades to throw. F-35's P&W F135 engine too discovered the spleech issue, and in 2013 the whole fleet was grounded when cracks was found in the blades due to excess vibration. Unfortunately Indians don't have the capability/ specialized test facilities to pin point the reason which is causing that, that's why french (Safran) help is needed. spending only .5 billion dollars for developing a jet engine for fighter aircraft is too little (though enough for entry into dumb ass book of world records for high expectations from jet engine with lowest investment ) 4 Likes

tdayof: in fighters it is a big deal where keeping weight down is a big criteria also there r other considerations where the shielding must not interfere with the fighter aircraft's own localized offensive or defensive emissions in the already congested immediate surface space of a fighter. in larger planes like flying command post etc it is not that a big deal as these aircraft's have enough reserve power to cater to additional weight. as for the world power making technology feel like a big deal it is a simple case of , mom / dad, "son do u see the stick in my hand " son "yeah ur the boss" 3 Likes |

sometime ago DRDO managed to successfully fabricated GaN modules, so hopefully DRDO will have its own GaN based AESA before 2025. GaN is the next frontier in radar technology , but its usage has been limited due to high cost. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6Jsu03BxeY |

why did India spent 20years and 2 billion dollars to develop the capacity to build nuclear submarines ? answer : In the 1971 India-P***** war, as the Indian Army was thundering down the road to Lahore, the US and British fleets made a threatening pincer against India. While the US Seventh Fleet from Southeast Asia sailed towards Calcutta, a British flotilla from Madagascar steamed towards western India. The Indian Air Force was on alert after receiving intelligence that American warplanes might attack the Indian Army’s communications in the west. However, the Soviet Pacific Fleet sailed into the Indian Ocean and threw a cordon around India, forcing the American and British warships to retreat. lets not make history repeat itself 3 Likes
