A naira MasterCard will probably not work because it usually has a limit of $100 and the visa application fees is more than that. Try a dollar card. Some on this thread have said they used paga, you may want to check out the posts to see how they did. I've seen the details somewhere on the thread.

Please did you use a dollar card or a naira card?
shakespere:
Please has any one experienced this recently, I was making application payment for my family, I have made 5 out of 6, but the last one would not go, it kept saying insufficient funds or my card company refused the transaction even though I have over the 119 usd required. I paid in another 100 usd, and it is still same. Any idea what I can do? I have concluded application for everyone except my last daughter

I'm in the exact same situation. Same timelines. There must be a problem with submissions made around that week of June 6th. I knew something was amiss when I didn't get an acknowledgement of receipt from UKVI until 2 weeks after biometrics (19th June) and this apology on the 15th working day (27th June) I think they muddled up the applications around that time, hopefully it doesn't adversely affect decisions reached. I'm not in a hurry to travel tho', so I'm ready to wait it out. You could try to contact them on Monday, it will be 25 working days by then and that is unusually long for a standard visit visa, more so when people who submitted later already have their decisions and this delay affects quite a few of us.

xto4:
This was the email they sent me last week
Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application remains under consideration.

We have previously communicated our customer service target for non-settlement applications as 15 working days. Unfortunately, we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service target. We apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause.

We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible over the coming days.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

Sheffield Visa Section

Thanks boss for your response, my the end of this month I will receive my salary so when I apply there will be upto 100k as balance even after I pay the visa fee. Will this be enough? Or should I wait till when I collect the money for the cooperative?

You need to build your salary account for at least 6months before using it for visa application.

If you can show evidence of that cooperate contribution then good it could be used as part of your account history.

All you have to do is to explain it in your visa application form..that you do cooperate contrition from your salary.

I am really worried because am supposed to travel on the 5th of July to return on the 12th of July just taking a week out of my leave vacation now by Monday it will be 10th of July.. Will they still considered the fact that my intended date and period is almost over? Although even after my intended period I will still have more than 2 weeks remaining for my vacation as stated in my leave letter and letter to the embassy, hope they will consider that even if my intended date of travel has passed and intended period is almost over that won't be a problem? Ekpotek, Justwise etc what to do Na?

I submitted my application on June 20, I also noticed mine and our two kids were separated from my husband's as I got emails from Sheffield regarding mine & the kids then my husband received he's separately. I filled the online application myself and nominated my email address for all communications from them so I'm wondering too.

dcutey:
I want to thank everyone that helped in a way or another in my family's UK visa application, you're all far too kind.

I submitted the application for my child, my wife and me on the 6th June 2017 through the new application site and we went for the appointment on 14th June 2017 at Ikeja. My child and my wife have been given six month visas which I collected yesterday though mine was not ready then.

I just received a mail from TLS contact this evening that my passport is ready for collection which I would collect on Monday. We all received all these mails others on this thread received. In fact, our applications was processed in Sheffield, UK.

I just wonder why they separated my application from my child's and wife's applications.

Happy weekend to you all
My salary sometimes comes late, like on the 8 or 10,due to company issues, will it have any negative effect on my application?

when you start filling the form, you will know where to write about it. You can even write a letter to explain(address it to british commission) and attach to your documents

Your case is taking too long and Difficult, since the embassy said your passport is not with them, then there must be a mistake somewhere,. U can check with this Link to know your application status, https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/app/visa_application/displayvisastatus remember it recognizes your GWF number if a decision has been made on your application.

Good day to all members and gurus in the house.i have been a silent follower and I need your advice. I was some time in 2011 granted six months uk visa when I was under employment. which I used just once and ever since then I have no major reason to visit the uk.
Now, I am self employed now operating with a business name which I registered before my first uk visa application. I am planning to apply and visit in September. I hope this won't affect me in any way in my new application? since I never mentioned having bus registration in my previous application. Secondly, is it possible to apply without using my business statement of account.

Use an accessbank card if it's just one person. I used an accessbank card for mine and it worked but had to use a dollar card to pay 4my wife

How then will you proof your source of income or financial ties to Nigeria, if you failed to disclose your business account. Being self employed is not a crime. You need to package your application to convince the ECO that you will return back after your visit.

Madam, I used Paga . Call paga customer care. You will open an account online ( there are some things you will need to send them for verification though) then fund your account by transferring money from your gtb account into the paga account, Then you can pay your visa fee. for 118usd, its like 38k plus.

Note: Use the old link visagov4uk website to apply, it accept paga easily.
Didn't see the UK visa payment on the paga payment platform.

Good morning Ekpotek and all our travel gurus. I need your advice. My application reads decided, it was decided 6th July, however tls is yet to update the details and i haven't gotten any e-mail. The issue is I am supposed to travel this weekend for my graduation holding next Monday. Flights not booked and I am running out of time. What would you advice? Do I go to the tos contact center or wait? In ur experience, how much time does it take to get the passport from when it's decided? Thanks

Thanks guys for the great job you're doing here, please attend to my issue, although I'm not new to this forum especially to @justwise.
This august i'm planning to get my family to London for 7 days vacation, I already have a visa but my wife and 2 kids need one each.
I'm self employed, my wife is not working although she's listed as director in my business with 30% share as indicated on CAC.
I'm sponsoring the trip, i have enough for it generated through my business to my savings account monthly (sometimes 2 times a month), my wife only gets some funds for feeding and stuffs monthly from my business account, she doesn't keep much as we do most spending from my personal account and business account. Now my question;
Can i still print her account statement and add it to the documents? please note I'm sponsoring the trip.
Is a allowed if she declare herself as housewife?
Documents am preparing to submit;
Their passports and copy of mine with visa
Reserved accommodation via booking.com
Analysis of activities and expenses
Letter from me as their sponsor
children's birth cert.
wedding cert. and my wife name change advt.
Business bank statement with a letter confirming sole signatory, registration and TCC Plus recent VAT
My savings acc where d vacation will be from. Current acc to show daily expenses, fixed deposit doc.
Our assets in landed property, some on my name and one on our names (Bought after marriage).

Thanks

If you live close to the TLS, I will suggest that you visit them with your collection slip. If your passport is no there, Go to nearest the British High Commission. Buying a ticket just a week to departure will be too expensive. Anyway, that the price you will have to pay.

My application finally showed "Decided" on the home office website however yet to be updated on TLScontact website. I will go to the collection center in 48hours to pick up our passports. Fortunately for me, my travel date is next week. Thank you all for your support. The wait is indeed not easy. Hopefully everyone gets their passports back before their travel dates. Cheers!

.

Six months validity is the standard practice, as your visit visa will be for six months if approved.

Just wanted to inform the house that I've been given UK Visa with less than six months validity on my Passport. Thank you all for your help, I'm grateful to all the contributors of the thread.
