Engineers are not allowed to use PTE for Assessment.... However we can and do use PTE-A for Visa purposes... Most people here got their 20 points from PTE-A... Including the engineers

for assessment you use IELTS or TOEFL. PTE is for immigration purpose

I'm aware of registered Mara agents that assist in CDR writing. EA encourages individual effort but I don't think seeking CDR writers is criminally or morally wrong. I see them just as I see professional Resume or CV writers. The content of the CDR must be your personal experience and not just spurious claims.

However, this thread is a DIY from start to finish.

Assessed Engineers pls help, I'm trying to draw up my CPD, but I don't have much to list except my 3yrs+ engineering experience which I don't wanna assess due to the fact that the second employment is lacking in proofs like-tax,salary payment,or pensions, thus my headache .
Now, if I go ahead and list these employments as CPD, won't it cause EA to wanna carry out the required verification on employment still ?

After your first degree, did you attend any conferences, courses, seminars, training (within or outside your organization), professional society workshops etc? Them follow for "continuous professional development" o.

cpd = continuous professional development. Means how you have continued to develop yourself since the end of your degree. Cpd includes and not limited to engineering seminars or workshops you have attended, conferences, book, journals etc that you have read, even software training, private study, post-grad study.. etc NA cpd. refer to MSA booklet for more information

Do you have an idea of how Resume writers operate? You would understand my point. They can't concoct your experience. Can you pay someone to rewrite your resume? You then begin to wonder the justification for the fees they charge. Hence the reason why DIY is encouraged here. Google sample CDR,Resume or cover letters and you could do the job yourself. But I wouldn't say enlisting the services of pros is wrong. I hope you find the CDR, Resume and Cover letter comparisons applicable here.
Do you also appreciate that you can apply for Visas yourself(and it's encouraged) but that doesn't make agents criminals except for the ones that lack integrity and manufacture (lol) documents for clients?

You might not be asked to prove your CPD except it appears spurious. I didn't attach any document to backup my CPD but I guess One or two could have been confirmed online.
But please no magomago o. EA assessment is usually easy-peasy.

Edit: Title/Topic, institution name, date and certificate/diploma earned should be listed where applicable.

The exam was easy but the result was not I thought I would get 20 points but got only 10 points. Please ask your questions here. There are more knowledgeable peolple here and they are ready to help. Some even got 90,90,90,90 in all the components.

Isn't the bolded what we do for ourselves here on the thread - when we help others proof-read and edit their write ups? You might want to check my modified comment above.......no one stipulates you must write your CV yourself, you only must be able to defend a CV or be humiliated.
