URGENT PLS

Is it advisable to claim work experience while one is on study leave and not in active service.

I was working in an hospital from June 2013 to January 2015 as Medical Laboratory Scientist. I was granted study leave to go to UK for masters till June 2016.

So, from February 2015 to June 2016, I was not working. After the expiration of my study leave, I resigned cos I got something better doing.

So, does February 2015 to June 2016 count towards work experience?
You schooled in "the abroad" and you want to claim work experience "in Nigeria" for same period. My brother, your application will be flung out the window and you won't see where the thing land for 5 years!

It will still work because GTBank recently increased their international spending limit on Naira Mastercard.

Hello,

The information is NOT false. The FIRST step to take before starting this whole process is to determine one's eligibility. In order to be eligible for EE, one must score at least 67 points out of 100. You can read more about it on CIC's website.

I will also advise you to do your research and be sure of the answer or suggestions you give so that you don't end up misleading people.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Best regards.

There is no hypothesis in this one. The first step to see if one is qualified for EE is through the come to canada tool. If the person qualifies, he is told at the end of the process. I have tried it with the details given by Fidelism, here is the link below try it out and see if the profile qualifies b4 your advise. Everybody with the new express entry system goes through the same process. Please see the link below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

@Fidelism, why not try creating your profile? If the system says you are not qualified, then you can quit. The whole process is less than two hours. Better still, send me your details, I will create your profile for you and, I'm not saying you should not re-take the IELTS, after all a CLB9 and above on all fronts will soar your CRS score.

Good morning pple,

I believe this my testimony will encourage someone. I just saw myvIELTS results and I could only praise God. This was my third attempt and it was a bit tiring for me.

1st attempt FEB 16 : LRWS 7.5/8.5/6.5/7.5
2nd attempt March 25: LRWS 9/7.5/6.5/8

Now, I was enthusiastic about applying for a remark in writing, so I did, but was disappointed after 10weeks, no change embarassed

Then, it occurred to me...what could be wrong with my writing? So, I started preparing afresh, ieltsliz, Cambridge etc until I discovered it, I was not using much of vocabs and complex sentences! So, this time, I focused more and tried to improve. Wrote lots of essays, letters before d day and God blessed my efforts.

Now my results are: LRWS 8.5/7.5/7/8

bringing my CRS from 386 to 435

So for those yet to write or not there yet, don't give up, just keep Ur dreams alive. Anything is possible if u persevere.

Nice weekend y'all!

Pls follow the steps like this

1-http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

2-http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Be very sure you score atleast 67/100 at step 1 before going to step 2 because sometimes if you go to step 2 direct without checking yourself at step 1,it can appear that you are eligible from step 2 but when you create your profile on EE platform you will find out that you are ineligible

I believe British Council (Lagos office) issues IELTS results on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 8am and 12 noon. ( I am not very sure about this.)

Before going on Tuesday, I suggest you should confirm that you would be attended to.

Thanks guys, I appreciate.
I did my IELTS in Abuja and I intend 'storming' their office here on Monday whether they attend to people or not. Anything short of getting my result, they will hear long sermon that day. I heard they notify via email if they intend to hold ur result for extra checks which they randomly do. Up until now, no result, no email, nothing. That test has taken away abt 4-5 nights of sleep from my eyes so far not to mention 1 or 2 bad dreams because I know I ran out of time the Reading aspect, leaving 2 questions unanswered when my answer sheet was collected. In addition, it was my 2nd attempt. I'm trying to be calm but e no easy mehn.
Anyway... whoever is chooking hand in this matter will hear from God loud and clear.

My story is similar to yours my second Ielts was LRWS 9,7,6.5,7.5. I applied for a remark but the result is not out yet however, i was reluctant in writing another one after this but I just encouraged myself to give it one last try and my result was LRWS 8,8,7.5,7.5 bringing my CRS from 380 to 435. Giving up is never an option in life.

Hello Blingyrie,

Thanks for this BUT that is the point I'm trying to make. CRS tool is different from checking for one's eligibilty. For example, someone with just 1 year work experience, BSc degree, IELTS score of CLB 9 or 10 (without points for French exams), and age between 18-35 (without points for adaptability or arranged employment in Canada) would definitely score 66 points out of 100 which makes such person ineligible for EE. If such person didnot do his/her research before starting his/her ECA and IELTS without checking for the eligibility, after creating a profile, his profile would show ineligible despite having CRS score of maybe 420 or above. Fidelism's eligibility issue can still be rectified by him writing and performing well in his IELTS exams (because he has a masters degree).

That is the difference between checking for eligibility and using the CRS tool.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

I appreciate.

Did you read @fidelism's post? He said he has submitted his profile and the system said he is ineligible.

I think you should also recheck the details you filled for fidelism using 'come to Canada tool' because I just filled @fidelism details using it and it shows 'ineligible'. This shows that you are even contradicting yourself.
Thanks.
