We really need to redefine what hatred means. I tend to think it's all about emotional intelligence which is lacking in many of us. The need to recognize that we are different but must forge a common platform for unity. It will never work when we see it only from our tribal perspective. All sides must compromise if we believe in one Nigeria. I received several feedback from my children who attended primary and secondary education in Lagos with lots of pointers to suggest that Yoruba's are extremely tribe conscious. Yet it appears to the Yoruba that the Igbo hates them not the other way. The Igbo feels same way. We need to understand that both sides are right because the hate is mutual. With this understanding we can then make conscious effort to stop hating by understanding that the speck in our neighbours eyes is actually manifested in our eyes as a log.
