I use uber only in d evening too to set my destination home. They have not blocked me. Meybe u should chat with their customer care. I wish we all can have one voice. Uber is good, so many riders prefer uber, but their fare is just not Worth it. Uber is just wicked, how can they surge everywhere from 4pm to 8pm when we have heavy traffic knowing fully well that u can't do more than one or two trips at that time in Lagos.

from my own experience, i have discovered that when the network is bad,the GPS seems to malfunction,hence the gps would be moving zigzag wen you are in traffic, instead of it to be static as u are static in the traffic. UBER uses this GPS to calculate fare...as the GPS is moving, the money is calculating This thing is not intentional cos it has happened to me twice, so I advised the rider not to pay me... That i will report her to UBER deñ UBER will credit me with the correct amount and they will also send a msg to her as regards the correct trip fare which she would have to pay along with her next trip fare. It also happens on the opposite when the amount u get after a trip is too low, compared to your expectation. It is just a GPS malfunction.

It could a network issue, GPS messes up sometimes, I once someone on taxify, a trip that's supposed to be about 2k came up with minimum fare of 400, she was surprised to see it, but she came down without saying anything( it was a card trip). If that trip had showed 4k, she would've labelled me a thief.
You guys should pity us, this fare is already cheap as it is, but y'all are always quick to call us out but are quiet when it favours you

First time I'm seeing airport surging on Uber

card trip or not, you can always do a fare review, the money will given back to you as Uber credit or paid back to your account this has happened to me before as a rider, after a fare review the money was paid into my account.
