Nothing "professional" about going on 1st name basis with someone you barely know.

That was a very daft comment.

If this man had complained about being called "Mr HisSurname".... I would have abused him.

But calling him an abbreviated version of his 1st name when you are not older or superior in rank is pure stupidity

This Man is a grade A Bastard.

The motherfucker blocked me on Twitter for always calling him out on his bullshit.

I wonder how people like that asshole managed to even get into our civil service. Imagine the tripe a Public relations person wrote on F.ucking Twitter.

This Man baby will never answer a straight question when asked. He keeps denying the level of corruption in the Police force and makes Nigerians who complain look like fools. Even after one guy put up a complaint naming the Police Station, the DPO involved and all necessary details this Useless basic Olopa was still telling the guy to give him the name of the DPO. grin

He should go drown himself in a lagoon of diicks. He is a good representative for why the Nigerian Police remains one of the least trusted agency of Government we have.

Cuz he didnt put sir, is Sir a yoruba word? The owners of the language don't even like people address them with the word sir.
Who told you that "sir" is not a yoruba word? It has been informally incorporated into the language vocab, why dyu hear "ejoor sir" when a yoruba person is begging a superior? lol.

That was how when i was in secondary school, I addressed a woman, "Mummy Segun."
She went "You are not respectful. Is Segun your mate? Can't you call me Mummy Boda Segun?"
I was like 'What!!'
And we want to be like oyibos!

sincerely, this generation are very rude?

Especially the ladies frm 14 yrs & above. Its only when d lady starts turning 30 that's when their attitude towards respecting men changes.

But for guys, its zero except when they're expecting something like Roger & /or other favours.
You reap what you sow, guys!

This reminds me of when I was in secondary school in a western state and one day for some reason a group of us was called before the school principal. I came in and greeted her but the whole staff around screamed and started cursing and hitting me for not prostrating to greet the principal. Looking back now I just shake my head at such mentality

There is a huge difference between fear and respect. The former is forced but the latter is earned. People can fear you but hate you while people can respect you and love you. Choose the one you prefer. BTW respect is earned and reciprocal.

Dear Yomi sounds so casual. In secondary school we were taught when writing formal letters or addressing a superior person, we use Sir, not Dear...

Who taught you such nonsense?

Yoruba Uncle be like
Uncle: Junior, whenever you want to chat with me use emojis that will portray a Yoruba way of greetings.
Junior : But uncle, which emojis should I use?
Uncle : look for emoji for idọbale (prostrating) or the like.
Junior: But there are no such emojis on whataspp sir.
Uncle : Create one or don't chat with me again for life. Onibajẹ oshi.
Junior : Don't worry sir, I'll always call u sir.
Yoruba people and respect Sha.

If he has joined the police in 1992 and he is just an ACP now then he is is failure cos. Normally current ACPs should be those that joined academy 98-99
