Makes little sense. All the radio stations I know in Abuja are doing a lot to curb hate speech. They cut you off and ban you from calling. This rule means that once any fool calls and spews hate, whether he is cut off later doesn't matter. It assumes that the radio presenters/stations have foreknowledge of what the caller is about to say. Dumb! I fear this is not a step to fascism. If you want to stop hate speeches the first thing to do is to terminate the things that breed them. What are these things? Impunity and Injustice.

Freedom of speech shouldn't trample on other rights. When people insult other people or threaten them, that's not freedom of speech, it is an act of criminality that should be dealt with.

Between freedom of speech and criminal act is a thin line.

I hope this new rule can bee used against radio biafra and by extension Nnamdi Kanu to muscle IPOB before they become dangerous.
