I have been working on cars but for some customers privacy reasons i chose not to update this thread.

2007 Highlander
P0420 catalytic converter below threshold bank 1
P0430 catalytic converter below threshold bank 2
CEL vsc trac light illuminated on cluster.

The. P0420 and P0430 codes refers to the three way catalyic converters in this said CUV.
I ran a live scan and discovered the B1S2 and B2S2 had much active readings on the graph.
And the LTFT hovered around 15%
Took it to a ramp and identified leaks around the exhaust joints from which exhaust gases escaped from.

I dismounted the B1 and B2 cats only to discover both were just hollow pots and no catalysts were present. The third catalyst was also gutted out.

Did some modification and installed some spacers down to the downstream O2 sensors. Drove for over 100km distance and no CEL showed up. Ran some scans and no fault showed. Car cat job completed and car delivered to owner.

Appreciate the diagnosis and necessary checks you carried out on my Toyota Camry this morning, the transmission has really improved.

My friend's 08 Accord transmission has been acting up lately. Up and down shift between 1-2 gives a big thud. I checked and the gear oil had been short and he drove it for a while in this condition. I encouraged him to replace with DW1 ATF oil to full guage which we did but didnt change a thing.

I have not been in Abj for 2 weeks now and will be in a week or so. He had changed a sensor but the problem persist. I wish to get him your contact for diagnosis if you can drop it.

I noticed sluggish movement and excessive fuel consumption. Fuel tank is now covering 320-350 miles.

2004 VW Passat 1.8t brake inefficiency.

When brake pedal is depressed it goes to the floor without corresponding power to stop the bullet car, squishy brake feel, elongated stopping distance.

On diagnosis, I discover the car brake pads were recently changed, all round. Thus eliminating the brake pad as a cause, I bled the brakes at each point and tested, yet no pressure to the pedal. I scanned the brake units and the ABS, no malfunction. I finally had to open up the brake servo and master cylinder unit and replace the unit after which car brake were filled up with DOT4 heavy duty brake fluid, the brake lines was bled again and scanned again for any error. No error, brake pressure returned to normal and car was tested again on a lonely road to assess performance of brake system. The brakes performed excellently and car was delivered to owner.

Nissan Pathfinder 2000 3.3L V6 VQ33DE engine replacement

Engine was damaged because of poor quality oil was used in servicing engine which was often left for prolonged periods.
Opening up the old defective engine, sludge was found, on removal of the sump, metal shards and chippings were discovered to have blocked the oil strainer (due to oily dirty nature of the work, I didn't take much picture).

Another engine unit from a salvaged pathy 3.3L se was installed and truck was delivered to owner.

Honda accord 3.0V6 water pump replacement

Symptoms of water pump failure: squealing and scratching sound from water pump area when engine is being loaded or during AC operation.

Vehicle was left to completely cool down to allow ease of operation to be carried out. Radiator was opened and brownish dirty water was discovered in radiator.thus necessitating complete fluid flush from engine. Serpentine belt was removed and all pulleys tested to be okay, but water pump was experiencing a friction and similar scratchy feel. Water pump removed, and a new OEM unit was replaced after which all other dismantled pulleys and components were reinstalled.
2 Gallons GENUINE HONDA Engine Coolant Antifreeze Fluid Blue Type 2 was added to the cooling system and bled appropriately. Car was allowed to steam then driven with loads (AC and Drive drain load) to check for any temperature spikes or scratching or bubbling sound from water pump. Car was also checked for coolant leakages but none was found. Car delivered to owner.

Peugeot 406 1997 model fan and strut failure

the RH side shock collapsed after entering a very nasty pothole and the impact also destroyed one of the fans attached to the radiator of this lion, the impact also broke the radiator joint. Car was brought into my garage and having checked the chassis for underbody damage, I found none. So I proceeded to purchase a replacement fan and shock.

1998 Toyota Camry fuel filter replacement
Symptoms of poor acceleration and hesitation, on turning on the ignition, fuel pump primes but once engine is started it hesitates, jerks and loses power during acceleration.
On diagnosis, the culprit was the fuel filter.

To ease pressure off the fuel line, the fuel tank was opened even as the engine was running and the fuse labeled 'EFI' was removed this made the system shut the Electric fuel Ignition system and the car stuttered till the engine went off. Battery terminal was removed and Air filter box and housing was removed to gain access to fuel filter in engine bay just above the drivers side wheel arch. Defective filter was replaced and every component disconnected was reconnected during the course of repair back as should be, car tested, and was okay. Vehicle was delivered to owner.

2013 Toyota Avensis HVAC panel.
The HVAC knobs for the dual zone temperature control dial on the avensis having a mind of their own and could randomize any settings instead of the user's desired settings.
It was removed, the mother board cleaned, copper contacts cleaned and reinstalled again. HVAC dual zone temp control dial became functional again.

2007 Rav4 (AWD) Rear Beam replacement.
The Vehicle had a RL side collision an this resulted in the tyre on the RL side to assume a large negative camber. The owner had replaced most control arms and it didn't correct the anomaly. Instead, it caused the car to be dangerously unstable, quickly destroyed tyres and shock absorbers. The beam was replaced and this corrected the anomaly

Brake system was utterly rubbish and slowed the car quite late and after covering some meters. The vehicle had an ineffective brake system, and the park brake was disconnected.
The brake system was diagnosed and the culprit found to be the Servo unit and brake master cylinder. Which was replaced, and the car regained braking efficiency. The parking brake was reconnected and adjusted to proper figment.

P0137 O_{[size=3pt]2[/size]} sensor Low voltage B_{[size=3pt]1[/size]} S_{[size=3pt]2[/size]} a working sensor with same part number was purchased and reinstalled. Car was scanned and code cleared. Car was test driven for 300km and no code apeared.

The Heater function of the manual AC controller knob was not working and this is a common fault with these models of Highlander.

AC panels removed to locate fault and repairs was carried out on the failed component.
After fixing the failed components, all removed components and parts were reinstalled in reverse order and bolts/screws tightened properly to prevent vibration and rattles in the cabin.

We are back we and we are stronger and better!
