Personally, I'm strongly against administering any form of herbal treatment to a child.

These herbs have been linked to the high infant mortality rate not just in nigeria but in Africa.

Detailed/proven research have been carried out on this. There are so many research extracts on this issue available on google.

Thanks for the mention ma'am. I haven't gone back to the hospital. A scan was recommended to know the exact position, haven't done that since there is no threat and still have till 2019 to remove it, although wants it removed early. Am yet to see AF, 15months PP. Pls can you share your removal experience?

Place was cleaned properly

Given an injection around that site to numb the pain.

Was told not to look at it being done.

Skin scrapped gently and implanon brought out.

Cleaned again and made to hold site with cotton wool and plaster

Told to take vit c (2 tabs) thrice daily and flagyl 2 tablets daily.


AF will soon come....enjoy

My 1month old LO has been having a running stomach for 5 days now,we went to see our doctor and he gave us ORS and some other drugs... it has subsided a little but my LO feels very light and hardly sleeps (started today) .

I feel really helpless and wouldn't want this to happen again since everyone is blaming me for 'eating anyhow'. Please any kind of food I need to avoid, I can't stand seeing my baby like this.

Is called lickilicki or sweety in pidgin.............. It is a reaction to exposure to either a bacteria of virus that little or bigger danger......... Ensure you baby changes dresses as often as possible...... Cause this will make him sweat more....... Increase breastfeeding .............bath baby with antisepic liquids for baby....... Wash baby cloths and under garments with antiseptic solution........ Apply Vegas cream........ half cup(inside add 4 capsule of chloramphenicol capsule add skineal (1/5)of tube and coconut oil or baby hair oil enough and stir) or apply psuodocream directly and orally give baby 1.5mls of syrup ampiclox.......................... Pls do this for 4 to 7days and give us and update...... You won't believe the outcome cause mine and that of my friends turn out tremendously beautiful......

My daughter has this rash when she was a baby, I was told Brest milk causes rash if it touches baby skin, I try am much as possible to avoid Brest milk touching her skin and d rashes stopped especially her face.

But it seems her temperature has subsided after giving her paracetamol. But the coughs and cattahar skill remains. I bought flu j cyrup and Neofylin cyrup for her but doesn't seems to be effective. Can anyone please recommend an effective drug to combat her cattah and cough. Thanks

You can give her piriton syrup. It's for cold, cough and catarrh.

I only use one tablet(once a week) like that but later stopped it because i noticed it changes the color of my baby bottle. So i just use hot water and wash very well. Other mama using brand for sterilizing will shook mouth

I use hot water sterilization ma'am so no idea
Other sabi mama's will choock mouth

2ripe plantain
Crayfish as u wish
Dry fish remove the skin and bones
pepper and onions as u desire
Blend the plantain, fish, pepper, onions and crayfish together, Add little red oil stir 2gether then put bit by bit in nylon as u would do moimoi and cook till done.
Finger food for ur baby
Adult can eat it too
Note no need for Maggi just a pinch of salt

You know... the way our body system is ...we react differently which I think would be a major factor

Things I noticed after the insert of the implanon

.I reduced in size ( I BFed LO for 6 months though but I ate a lot) ...dropped from size 12 to less than size 10 but more than size 9( I like it oooo)

. As per doing the do, became more active ni sha ( worked on so many things )

I only removed cos LO will be 2yrs this month ( to be Preggy is hungrying me)

One mama had same question this morning.......and Queenhecate adviced thus:-


It is likely gas. Put her on her back on the bed and holding her two legs, do the bicycle movement I.e. as if she is pedalling.

Also hold her legs by the ankle and push/ bend the knee into her stomach. All these may induce farting and remove the gas that is giving the discomfort.

You can also bend her over your knees and pat her back.
All these help more than gripe water which in my opinion is just a placebo and does absolutely nothing for babies.


Note: it works oooo, did for my LO when he was a baby.
