Hello All,

Please I have decided to contact UKVI by phone to demand they make a decision on my application and return my passport.
I applied with my mum and sister whom have collected their passport with their visa and the already booked their flight. Bcosz of me they had to postpone, as today was suppose to be our travelling date. why do UKVI hold on to people's pp without making a decision, mostly for a visit visa? I mean it is just a visit for crying out loud, nothing so serious. If they are not convince on giving a visa, they should just refuse with reason in reasonable time. Coz I dont know why you will hold someone's pp for a tourist visa, not like I wanna go visit my ancestor o or my family, just tourist. And not like I wrote on my form I must visit, dont know why they are holding my pp hostage. This UKVI really need to chill on this atitude o. I will never go to their front again for a visa, If not that I will not be able to get my money back, I would have just withdrawn the application. But becoz they wont refund, I cannot let my money go like that, them go do the work wey I pay them to do. I will tell them blantly on the phone that I do not care whether you are investigating shit or not, make a decision right now, either you approve or refuse, just decide and return my pp before next week runs out. RUBBISH
sORRY ALL O, that I am lamenting here, I just need to vent somewhere.
My question is like how much recharge card should I buy, to call them on the phone that will be enough to speak their head off.

lekibraky:
You shouldn't be too worried cos some pl applied beforr u and have not gotten decision mine was July 17 for my wife and child no decision i want to wait till its 60 days then i will call them out whether na heaven visa dem won give me dem go hear para
i feel your pains bros. Just had family members cancel their holiday to UK and Canada cos of these UK visa application process delays. My mum and 3 other family members all submitted visa renewal applications on the same day (10th of July).. One of them got the visa in about a month... 3 are still waiting. Only God knows for how long.

You will need to apply for the standard visitor visa. It will take the same process and documentation as any other visitor visa. You will not be allowed to board the plane without a visa, even if the stopover in the UK is for a minute. So if your intention is stay 2 days in the UK, apply for a visitor visa. If not, you can apply for a Direct Airside Transit visa, which will allow you to leave the aircraft and board another. So I would advise that you start the process now, as there has been a lot of delays for many applicants.

OP should check her bank balance to see if she has been debited. If not, she can retry the transaction. If yes, she needs to contact her bank for advice.

Its not true, if u have a valid US visa and u are not entering inside UK, U can still enter British Airways, and transit at Heathrow UK for your onward journey to the US without any type of UK Visa. My Wife has used BA 2times to the US and transited at Heathrow for more than 5hrs before connecting her flight to the US without your so called Direct Airside Transit Visa.

Hello i hope this is not GVC
you don’t need any agent this agents don't know anything and all they want is the money and not considering your own credibility before the VO. And everything you will face now is on your own.
So what do you want to do now let me have full understanding of what the VO has said so as to know what we can do
Sorry

Omo, this one no be God matter o. I mean, it's not to be treated less than it was. That man wouldn't have had only you as victim. Some people need to learn from experience. You for sue that man, as he gave you a bad record. Sue him for 5 Mil... my opinion grin grin grin

Anyway you would need to wait for the ban to be lifted naturally. UK immigration Law states you would refused if you present a falsified document even if it is WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE. So even if you apply now and try to explain that it's not your fault, it wouldn't make much difference.

@Austine2020 Please read the OP question before you comment. The OP wants to spend 2 days in the UK visiting family before an onward journey to the US and had enquire if there is transit visa that permit this. Although you can use BA to US without a visa, I doubt if the OP main reason for going through UK will be realize without a visa.

Yes I agree. However, the OP question is to spend 2 days in the UK visiting family while transiting to the US? That is what I have addressed that OP will need a visa.

Transit on any airline with less than 8hrs stop over does not require transit visas, that is IATA standard

You can get a visitor in transit visa. It is valid for 48hrs. It is not so easy to get.
