Ndo. You need to take it easy. Only thing you should do is feed baby. No lifting, no bending, no superwoman moves. Its worse when you have to cough or sneeze but you'll be fine in a few days. Feel free to be a liability till you get yourself back. Thank God for your mum, you can yo si won lorun. Did they give you pain relievers? Can't remember what I was given cos it was in those hospital white envelope but it gave me relief. Maybe other mamas who know the meds can add anything

From elective CS to natural labour to emergency CS; God was with me all the way

I was scheduled for an elective CS for the 7th of September due to my history of an auto-immune disease.

On the 6th, I started having slight cramps in the afternoon, and by evening I was having major contractions with short intervals; oya time to go to the hospital. I am thinking, "this my boy does not want to come through CS oooo

Got to the hospital and I was already 4cm dilated, but I could handle the pains from the contractions; so I then decided to go on with natural labour unless it became too hectic

At 6cm, I stopped dilating and my little one's heart rate kept dipping at every contraction. Chai fear wanted to take over me, but I remembered all the promises of God and just focussed on them

Doctor said they should prepare me for emergency CS; I am there thinking, "warris all dis"

Whilst on the table in theatre, I just kept praying to hear the cry of baby as soon as he was pulled out; I did not think I could bear to face silence; once again the Lord I serve assured me that all will be well

My little one came out screaming and crying and yelling, and tears just flowed down my face, and i Kept saying thank you Jesus, I am a mom, thank you Jesus

He was examined, and all was well, and my prince given to me; we were in hospital for two days; just got home and since oga is sleeping I am like let me quickly drop this BS oooo

All in all, God showed me that no matter the road I took, the plans I made, the nooks and crooks, his say is the final say; he is indeed the God of awesome wonder.

I thank all the mamas on this thread for their contributions and love; I know my husband is always here peeping on guest mode so oya you too chop kiss; your love and support is overwhelming. God bless us all.

Pele. I remember now it was diclofenac I was given. In fact I collected more one day when I went to change my dressing cos the one they gave me finished and the pain was still there. Just take it really easy. In 2 weeks time you'll be virtually 100%

I can't really remember d drugs dt worked for me buh diclofenac helped me too n it was my fellow CS mama dt told me abt d drug. Don't pretend esp as u gat ur mom n nt MIL wth u.

Take 7up or sprite and lie down till you feel stronger. Dont eat any heavy duty food yet, if you must in small portions.

Your uma leaves (moimoi leaves) can stay till tmrw without withering. For me what i do is i keep mine in the freezer and when i want to use it, i allow it defrost on its own. By then its very amenable to use, it hardly breaks and goes to any direction you want it. Pls take care of yourself.

Ok here goes! I'm not really a catfish person. But this is how I prepare my preggy pepper soup with goat meat, chicken, titus fish, beef. Simply substitute with catfish. Don't buy the already prepared peppersoup ingredients in the market since you don't know what they grinded in it. The ingredients below will still come out very delicious.

Ingredients:
*Meat of your choice (Goat meat, chicken, Titus, Tilapia, Catfish etc) In your case, you are using Catfish
*Fresh Pepper (I like to mix the Red pepper with Yellow Pepper (ose nsukka), the aroma is heavenly, if you don't have fresh pepper, use ground cameroon pepper)
*Onions (2 medium sized onion bulbs will do)
*Scent leaf (just a handful)
*Ground Crayfish
*Salt (to taste)
*Knorr Cubes (the normal knorr beef cubes, not knorr chicken)

Preparation
Cut the fish into servable sizes and wash thoroughly. Then set aside.
Blend/grind/pound the fresh pepper.
Wash and cut the onions into tiny pieces
Wash and slice the scent leaves.

Cooking Directions
Put the pieces of fish in a pot and pour water just to cover the fish.
Add salt, Knorr and onions, then allow it to boil for like 5 mins.
Then add the pepper, crayfish and scent leaves. Cover the pot and leave to boil for like extra 5 mins. The pepper soup is ready to be served.
Enjoy your hot sizzling pepper soup.

That's the basics. The secret to delicious homemade pepper soup is to use enough Crayfish and onions. If you have dried fish at home or ponmo, you can cut into tiny tiny pieces and add to it as well. With every spoon you take, there is something to chew! Enjoy with chilled drink, rice, yam, roasted plantain etc.

This is Goat meat peppersoup with roasted plantain we ate some time ago homemade.

sorry ma proudmom, i experience d dizziness thing in my son pregnancy, what I normally do is increase my iron intake then eat whenever am feeling dizziness. do rest you hear.

as per the leaf, what I learn from my mum is that one should put the leaf inside water don't remove the stalk, but I think this method should work for 3days to retain its freshness.

Good afternoon ooooo. Abeg mama's that gave birth via caesarian section,before before or now now abeg, what's the recovery process like.
The kind of pain am feeling ehn, Ayam tired. I hate being a liability but as he b now ehn, i cannot even do anything by myself. Body just dey ache me anyao.
My mum is with me so am just trying to pretend Ayam fine so she doesn't feel bad or something but abeg I am not fine.

I was discharged the third day after I had cs it wasn't funny at all..To enter car was war I even cried at some point..I was told by the doctor to try an be moving around that it will aid in the healing in which I tried my best to do that...To my surprise just a wk after I was able to bend down and even sweep.
Always take your drugs as prescribed and don't lift anything heavier than your baby...Avoid solid foods 4 now or You can make it watery as possible so as to avoid hard poop because straining will put pressure on the site internally thereby causing you pain.
Sleeping on your side would not be easy try using pillow to support your tummy..
And always keep the site dry and air it as much as possible.... When I went for checkup after a week the bandage was removed and I was given spirit and gv to clean the site everyday with it..

Don't worry you will get healed b4 u could even realise it...Its going to 5 months now and the only thing that reminds me I had cs is the scar...
