I am a silent reader. We (Family of three) had our interview on Sept. 6 (9:45am) at the Lagos Embassy. First timer, No travel history (Although, I have a valid S.A visa but I haven’t travelled due to some situations), monthly salary is below 200, 000. We filled the form carefully, picture taken at home using phone, screen grabbed all necessary information needed (how to fill form for family, transcripts…….. ). I appreciate all the gurus in the house for taking your time to answer all questions. God bless you.

My take:
Fill your form honestly, don’t exaggerate your monthly income ( our monthly income is between 130,000 - 180,000), know your host ( when and how he/she got to the U.S), don’t fidget and prepare well. For family Visa, don’t leave all the preparation for the primary applicant, V.O directed most of the questions at me while my husband was playing with our baby. I enjoyed the whole interview.
Don’t forget to pray too.

I use this functionality a lot not because I didn't want contradictions since truth is constant but for convenience.

Having said that, you need your old DS-160 confirmation number and answer to your defined security question. The first five letters of your surname and year of birth are taken for granted.
When you open the DS-160 form website, use the retrieve functionality to recall the old form and create a new application.

I tried it but I can't view the old information, its says the information i'm trying to retrieve has been submitted and it says I should either view the confirmation page or create new application pls advice

Also I have seen so many people here try to seperate/diffrentiate holiday and vacation. Whatever one calls it is immaterial cos the VOs are used to Nigeria lingo. I got my visa without family.

Myself and my wife have never applied together for either the US or Canadian visa even though it is on their record that we are couples. I got ahead of her and she applies on her own, and the children got theirs from her. We have applied for and visited other places together sha, but not US and Canada. So, that "family should apply together" postulation is nothing but a myth/farce as far as I am concerned.

First; he completed the ds-160 form without uploadeing a picture (assumed he was going to snap one dere and attach as it used to be) only to get there and d photograohers told him he was supposed to upload, they collected 15k from hom to fill another form and uplod a picture and then told him to attach with the previous ds-160.

I don't want to use any fucking agent so I want to do it my self I have fill the Ds160 form countless of time and the picture will upload successful but wouldn't displace on the confirmation page anyone with concrete idea

1.Can my payslip be substituted for my statement of account (As my statement shows too much info about my spending pattern).

2. I am presently single and my office should provide me with an introduction letter. Is my job enough tie?

You are good to go. Your passport won't show on the confirmation page. It can only show if you want to print your completed ds 160 form in case you want to have it for future reference purpose.Best of luck in your upcoming interview.

PLEASE So what's the other person having her interview interview next week suppose to do? As she has already filled printed out the ds-160 form without uploading a photo?

As for the transcript i cant say much as he inly breifed me over the phone and is'nt on NL hence maybe why it's not detailed enough. Thanks
