Hello august house,

My auntie was refused a Uk visa in April because the counselor claims My Uncle in the Uk inviting her couldn't prove enough ties to her to show his motivation for inviting her. Question is How do we prove that?

Secondly we now want my younger uncle (locally based) to now sponsor her as he is also well to do (Managing director of a reputable bank) and owns several landed properties. Question 2-How feasible is that?

My Auntie works with the Non formal eduactional sector and earns N121996.77 (taken some loans so ends up with N77264.62 monthy now)
Question 3.. Does he chance of getting a UK tourist visa if we are to reply look bright and feasible?

Thanks for the response i have my own cash in the account my salary and some other money but she is getting the money into my account just to increase inflow and out flow thanks
and about the Canada refusal pls what is your view
Thanks so much

I really don't understand why you thought that this will fool the ECO or why you even think its a good idea.

What you have being doing for the past 3months is wrong for visa application purposes.

Inflow and outflow means nothing without good cash balance and proof of source of that money.

@ Brightingsus pls have PM you help look into it thanks

That's definitely the right approach, but even with all of this it's highly unlikely she'll be issued a visa. Visits can be extended for compassionate purposes, but this needed to be applied for while she was in still in the UK. As this wasn't done, UKVI are going to treat her as an overstayer.

Good morning House,

Sure you had a good weekend.

Please can someone confirm the correct link to standard visitor visa application. I started with visa4uk and then someone said it should be gov.uk. I started that and somehow I was redirected back to visa4uk. Which is the right one please?

Secondly I am doing a different application for my mother who has visited UK severally and during her previous visa renewals, she never had to submit supporting documents. She used agents at these times. Now that I am filling her application, I see she has to submit bank statements and all. Do we have to do this or is there another way to this?

Yes, you have to submit bank statements alongside other supporting documents. The onus is on you (or the applicant really) to prove to the Entry Clearance Officer that the applicant would leave the UK at the end of their visit which is within the visa validity. This is shown through documents supplied which show that the applicant is naturally settled in their home country. Bank statements are just a part of these documents.

There are two sites on which one can apply for a visit visa; the old system and the new system. Each of them has a unique platform but they both mean the same thing.

Visa Application sites

Old sysstem

New system

Going on a training, sponsored by my org. I had applied stating I will go alone.
Few days after submission ticket prices drop, I think it's a good idea to go with my wife. How do I apply for her to go on the same trip I had stated I was going alone? What are the chances, she will get it if I apply? What is the average timeline for business/tourist non-priority visa? Do they reference spouse passport number while processing application?

Hello Good People,

I recently got married to my wife who is a divorcee with three children. She lives in the U.K and I live in Nigeria. We met early last year while I was on a trip there. We intend to apply for a spouse visa for me to join her over there. I would like to know if the application should be done in Nigeria or she should use an immigration lawyer in the U.K to apply on our behalf. And also what are our chances and is there anything other than the usual that should be included with our application. Thank you all.

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I need to ask questions. I was refused visit visa on June 16th and reason was that I was not able to explain sources of funfs that entered my account. I reapplied and addressed that issue and was able to submit on June 22nd. Biometrics was done on July 3rd. Got a mail August 8th stating that they are not able to meet up with the 15days deadline. Got another mail that states that my application isn't straight forward. I sent a mail to their complaints email and kinda summarised my application and also expressed my displeasure in the nicest way I could. Then I got a mail from TLS 2 days after saying that decision has been made.

My questions are;
Is it strange not to get a mail from Sheffield that a decision has been made before TLS sent theirs??

Also I can see on the TLS website that my passport is ready for collection but I haven't gotten an email so can I just go to the centre to collect it??

Lastly is it possible my mail made them respond quickly??

Will appreciate swift responses as my heart is abt to fall out of my chest ( scared of the decision made)

Good day. Pls ill appreciate if you can give us the email address you sent to. Iv been waiting for almost 3months nw

The applicant is the one applying basically, so it should originate from Nigeria. However since the application is online, they can apply for you over in the UK and act like it's coming from Nigeria.

Go to the spouse visa section of nairaland and post further questions.

Does she work and earn at least £27,000 a year or have that amount in savings?

Hello everyone, I have. Been following this trend for all over 3 months. I have been silent. Made an application for 6 months visitors visa for my mom.
biometrics was done since 14/6/17 I only got a decision 8/9/17 nearly three months.

I was really disappointed my mom was refused. I was sponsoring the application. I did say she has £500 as her own spending money. Unfortunately my own income wasn't not taking into consideration. It was only my moms. I did offer to spend £1500
To support her

I want some advice please I am thinking of reapplying. I want to fully sponsor this time
I'm not sure if is a good idea to reapply immediately?
My bank statement has £ 8,00.00 in it my moms has N700.00
I included all required supporting documentation.
I really do not know that her account was going to be use in making a decision. As I thought I was the sponsor
My mom is 64

I will be attaching the refusal latter
I need some advice in future application please
Many thanks

Good day my people, please I have a question about cover letter. I just want to apply for my tier 2 visa. Do i need to write a cover letter? If yes, will I type it in the space provided for any additional information online or I will write with ink after printing out my application form?
Thank you for prompt clarification.

Use the additional info section of the applation form to address anything that needs clarificarion. You can use a separate sheet like a letter (written in ink) for more indept explanations since the section for additional info is limited to a number of characters.

Could you confirm how much you say you have in your account and that for your mum Is it £800 or £8000 for you? Again did you say your mum has seven hundred naira in her bank account

The mistake was from you. You should have done full sponsorship. The refusal letter also mentioned a daughter of your mums which I suppose is your sister. I do not quite understand who is the UK sponsor here. You can not get a 64 year old woman who has £39 a month after outgoings to part sponsor a UK trip. Haba...

Anyway clear the air here and you will get constructive advice.
