Port Harcourt isn't a beautiful city today because of the enclosure of densely populated villages into the expanded urban area giving it a shanty housing development in vast areas. However the older parts of the city remain well planned and beautiful.

Spykey:What's the GDP PPP of dubai compared to Nigeria? You don't need to be a genius to know both are incomparable. Nevertheless, I do agree those pictures are underwhelming. |

i do not see anything beautiful about portharcourt. Apart from the old portharcourt that was planned in the 50s and 60s the other parts like obio akpor are a mess. The Ikwerre man just biuld without planning, no good road network, tiny streets......but there is oil money....... |

speaktome:Chopper briefings have always warned that you should always switch off your electronic gadgets while on board but you prefer to violet the rules in order to show off. When you succeed in triggering a problem, everybody blames the pilot. "Continue" as Mama would say. Note that some others due to the nature of our jobs ply same choppers at least twice in a month yet, we don't have photos to share because it is better to be late than the late in bid to keep to the rules. |

goosast:its obvious that you hardly travel out, am a rivers indigene btw and I my likely be older than you, so chill, Enugu city beats ph both in planning and beauty, owerri is more alluring to the eyes than ph o, the garden city is no longer the same as then and its massively overrted. That dirty aba road is the rallying point of ph, A huge urban renewal is needed btw Abuja remin the best city, so go figure! 1 Like |

Amarabae:I travel far more than you can imagine, anyways no need argueing with you cause i know there is nothing to talk about. Drop that age stuff, cause i know my experience in various Nigerian cities i have been to and i still travel out till tomorrow. I am a Riverian and i hardly spend one month in my state. So even your Abuja i bet you dont know jack like i do. |

asha9:lols, owerri a rural area? Stop smoking that thing, Enugu,Lagos and Abuja made it to top 100 resilient cities in the world by rating of an international organisation and you call it rural area? ph city is cool but overrated, i hate arguing with people who dont travel, I have been to 9 African cities and 4 western world cities, so chill out! Even abuja that is our best naija city will be overshadowed when paired with libreville that I visited last year august |
Re: Governor Wike Views Port-Harcourt City From A Helicopter (Photos) by asha9: 8:22am On Oct 06, 2017 |
Yes they are all rural areas. Forget about the resilience nonsense. PH is the most important, largest and most beautiful city outside Lagos and Abuja. Stop embarrassing yourself here. PH may have some odd sides but it still miles and miles apart from those rural areas you mentioned. One of basis to know important cities, is migration trend, PH is the most visited city for all purposes in Nigeria after Lagos and Abuja. [s] Amarabae:[/s] |
Re: Governor Wike Views Port-Harcourt City From A Helicopter (Photos) by Amarabae(f): 8:28am On Oct 06, 2017 |
asha9:you are the one embarrasing yourself,mr argument man, most beautiful? Loolz, stop joking and face reality pls, poor drainaged, unorganised, unplanned, chaotic, crime infested etc ph is most beautiful after abj? Lols comedians everywhere. we await for magnus abe in 2019 to take over brick house and revive the garden city. Its a city on a downward spiral. |

Re: Governor Wike Views Port-Harcourt City From A Helicopter (Photos) by asha9: 8:33am On Oct 06, 2017 |
This is a reality show, stop spitting nonsense from thread to thread. PH is the only city that has this sort of metropolitan outlook outside Lagos and Abuja. PH is a well planned city. The whole of D-Line was recent reconstructed with good roads and underground drainage systems. The same thing is happening all round the city. The point is that PH is so large that it will take some time to cover everywhere but it is a city on upward and steady trend. I repeat all those places you mentioned are rural areas and not worthy to be mentioned here for any reason whatsoever. [s] Amarabae:[/s]
