I applied June 16th online and no update till now, i wrote the embassy complaining that my application has passed the normal processing time of 102 days. below is their response:

Due to significant and unforeseen increases in the volume of temporary resident applications we receive (temporary resident visas, study permits, and work permits), we are currently outside regular processing times. We continue to process applications as quickly as possible in the order they were received.

same response i got,but how comes some people that order in which they recieve was not used cos some who applied even in August have gotten response and got approved.

I don't understand the order they are talking about oo, many applicant that applied in August and September have gotten their reply back and yet they are talking of order.

Hi everyone, I'm applying for a visitor's visa during my next leave to see a friend. I've every document except ones such as "proof of relationship" and "Family information" as the person inviting me is just a friend.
Does is matter if I left them blank?
Are these documents compulsory or I can just state that the person inviting me is a friends in my "letter of explanation"?

Your invitation letter can as well stand for Proof of relationship

Hmmm I have been following this threads for days now, thus canada visa if a thing na wa ooo. It has given me sleepless night from the day one to date. I have never come across any embassy with a processing time at canada. Well I need advice house, I applied for TRV for a united nation program under education coming up by 19th of November 2017, everything has been paid for, I included the receipt of the hotel, the program and a person bank statement of 9.7 million naira, letter of employment, my income tax certificate, marriage certificate, leave letter from my company, certificate of incorporation of my side business and a letter explaining about the funds in my account. My worries is the time left for the program to commence. I submitted my application on the 31st of July 2017, I do have travel history to schengans only. Pls anyone here that submitted his or her application same as me.

I linked my application online successfully.

Follow these steps and you can also read further on their websites:

This should be of help to all those trying to link their paper to online application, I had same issue but had it resolved after following these steps.

I have listed steps to link your Paper application to CIC Online

(1) Go to this below listed link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp
(2) Click on continue to Gckey
(3) If You've already account created, login with your Username and Password otherwise Click on Sign up to go on next page and create your username, password and security questions.
(4) After creating my CIC account, click link application to this account.
(5) Then select category as Temporary residence and subcategory as visitors visa(outside Canada).
(6) Then select Family name, given name and date of birth option.
(7) Fill your family name(surname), given name and date of birth as per Passport or application form.
(8.) Next in applicant personal info panel fill Passport information only and DO NOT FILL CITY AND COUNTRY OF BIRTH.

(10) Select applicant's Current country of residence (For example, if your spouse currently living in Nigeria, Please select Nigeria)
(11) Select Current marital Status
((13) Once you fill all information, Click on Search for my application
(14) Your application will be found and can be linked.
(15) You can get real time updates on your paper application online.

I have done every possible in my power to link my paper application but all I get is that my base on the information you enter Will found no application. I don't no if is because I'm using my iPhone to login or is there any special browser for this. Pls reply urgently, do I have to use my laptop to login.

On a normal ground, yes you can book a flight without paying

so do i need to go to same place bio metric was done which was Lekki VAC and do i have to pay any other fee as i saw something like service charge..or if i am submitting in same place where bio metrics was done no need of paying the service charge fees?

Same place, no charges again unless you are paying for your passport to be mailed back to your address for you, particularly if you are not resident in Lagos. Congrats to you on your successful TRV application....

Wakanow booked a flight ticket for me that i intend to submit with the application

Just a boked reservation so no payment made

But i am skeptical of using it cause its KLM flight at the cost of 901 k

I am submitting a balance of 2million statement of account

The flight is for myself and my one year old son

should i just forget abt using this boking jejee so i wont be shooting myself in the foot

If visa officer removes almost 1million naira booking, it remains just 1m for the trip.

we applied to stay there for two weeks and my host will only be providing us accommodation, while the rest expense is by myself sponsored by my hubbby

I will advise you change your airline, that price showing on your itinerary might cost you a big problem with the consulate. But if your account shows more than 2m like 5/7 m then you are good to go, but with 2m in your account and a flight with such a price might be a very big concern with the visa officer.

Application number is the number given to you at the VAC. Check the paper given to you at the VAC.

will the VO require a flight itinerary that shows cost compulsorily

The paper given to me only show tracking number and another one says Ref:number. The last one is at the back of the paper given to me which I guess is biometric number. Pls which one of this is the application numbers.

Omida you can use the one that doesn't show the amount but show your travel details or else get another itinerary from a cheaper airline to avoid any problem. This OV are very smart, they will look at your financial background and try to figure out how someone with such a little money will want to travel and spend such an amount traveling for vacation. But I will advise you book another reservation with any other airline that shows the price, try air maroco, airthiopian air, or any other cheaper airline.

I had applied on July 17th, they responded with a refusal on October 19th, 2017( exactly 90days) because my travel agent put Ontario in Los angeles as port of entry and departure, so they denied it for that reason. Atimes i feel too much docs is a problem for them. Just stick with the right documents.

My travel date was November ending. I quickly re applied again and hope they answer me within one month. lol.

I agree with you. You need to pay particular attention to these things.

My travel agent ruined my application by booking Ontario in LA. Although i looked at it, me seeing Canadajet airlines made me over look it.

Please pay attention things like ticket, invitation letter etc. If you like have 100million in account, little things like this matters.

Hello megastus, sorry for your denied application but as long as you have faith God will turn their eyes to your favor this time around. Sometimes this agency can be funny, some have never left the shores of this country. Did you applied online or paper application. Mine is now 85days and hoping to hear from them before the end of this month. I'm encouraged knowing that yours took 90 days. Pls pray for me house ooo
