Having travelled to some countries within and outside Africa, I believe tha report. Ordinary Benin republic, Togo and Ghana have a much better trained and organised police service. In fact most Nigeria police officers look like misfits, not the same in other countries!!!

Nigeria police officers have no professionalism in them, the worst across all the countries I have been.

The police sure has a lot of bad eggs..but I know a couple fine gentlemen in the police. Rare gems. They should employ good brand/image makers... just like the Lagos state is doing with RRS and LASEMA.
In all, the whole central police system is not feasible any longer.. state policing is a better option.

Why won't the NPF be rated worse when they fail to be patriotic, instead of to protect lives and properties, they engage in social crimes, blackmails and harassing youths with mobile phones claiming they are fighting cyber crimes? Robbery takes place at your environment, call the police, they may never respond. I can assure you. I see police or SARS at bus stop without uniform sometimes I weep. If I drive and see such at night , I should run over them because they look more like touts dressed rough with rough beards. If there is a police man here , don't be offended but you know I and some of us here are saying the truth. Some NPF officers are good but majority are bad. I was told that there was a robbery incident yesterday afternoon at the popular Iyana Iba bus stop, as busy as you can think, took place place early hours of afternoon, robbing every market including people walking ,came with guns, but all police and other security agency there flee and no where to be found. That place I know are more of Both police and army but what could have happened? I don't want to believe its true that robbery took place there. So to conclude it, NPF even they don't rate you worse, I personally don't regard police in Nigeria, they piss me off when I see them because they are never loyal and patriotic. When I was apprehended and interrogated by police I never forget that day. Had to check my phone like that is the way to curb cyber crimes, Never! Am sorry, I rate NPF worse! until they change their mentality and operations towards the society, it will continue to be like this. I shall never have respect for officers, even at death point. What they do to citizens of Nigeria is unacceptable, Every sectors of the country is corrupt, and until a total revolution, it will continue to move like this.
