There’s pidgin English, then there’s autocorrect that causes some obvious grammatical errors at times and THEN there are supposed professionals who claim to be educated and their continuous write-ups are giving me a headache.

I can’t decipher the write-up or the countless apologies.

Very unserious person.

Sir, you can't expect estimate to be accurate 100%, what the guy gives you is within a negotiable range and that is why you learn from here and use the knowledge to negotiate.

Sometimes, l wonder if he wrote while dozing-off or if he wrote those things under the influence of some narcotic (l am not accusing him of anything o! ) but seriously, no one here is a Professor of 'grammar or linguistics' but habba, if my 10yr old communicates like this, s/he should be prepared to refund her/his school fees back to me![/s]

I have been hearing the word Mansion on properties session and I may be able to get an answer.
Please, what is a mansion?

By "Nigerian" definition, a mansion is any new house (excluding bungalows).

Remember that in Nigeria, when in doubt, use a high sounding title. The same goes for buildings.

He can't calm down and he definitely can't change (not for long enough). He has already been given enough warnings and advice to last a lifetime (all the way from page 748, a lot of his spam posts were deleted using the report button).

Reporting him and getting his posts deleted is actually to his advantage.

Daboomb:

In my opinion, Just dont spam the thread with adverts.
I know it could be difficult at times, to draw attention to what you have to showcase if left and dumped under a pile of threads that people probably dont even bother to open grin undecided

But just one good picture of your drawings and a LINK to your thread where you have all your adverts/work done, should do the trick.
Dont post multiple advert here on this thread, it can damage the eyes.
...
*And dont get sarcastic as well, l can smell that from one mile.
*Take your time to write well when you post, it gives a bad impression to potential customers when they cant really "coordinate" what you are trying to get across.
44chux:

Some persons like Azuh type in a certain way just to be funny.
Others are results of auto-correct and multi-tasking combined.

But for a select few, it's simply because they struggle to speak good English. And except they were trained in a non-english-speaking country, it means they have no formal education.

Can you all help me with critique this painting combinations, I just arrived to see this combination they chose for this house and I don't like it very much.

On the first picture, the cream on the dining needed another shade in that family to bring it down as these two colours (bright blue and cream) seems to be fighting each other grin

On the second picture, although I appreciate the idea of this my painter to match a particular tile colour with this bright orange on the porch, but the effect I see there is a "shouty" porch that reminded me of GTB instead of a home grin

Although some of my family loves this but I am about to coat this with something cooler. Gbadexy, what do you think, as this is your field.

The blue doesn't go with the rich cream in the first picture. its an odd combination.
The Orange is a flashy color. The colors on the building itself are cool, neutral colors. A subtle and calming color should be used on the porch.
modified: The beige/abuja brown at the lower part of the building seems a bit light to complement the cream. They could darken it a bit so that the contrast is sharp to make the cream stand out.

Let me start from the second picture: Yes, You are right.. The orange color is screaming, it doesn't look good, frankly in my view it reduces the beauty of the house. The house was more beautiful without that orange color. Also remember orange is too bright even when used inside of the house, using it outside of the house where it is exposed to sunlight is a no no.

It is different though if you own a business like GTB and you want to draw people's attention, but this is personal house i reckon.

Back to the first. Again, I agree with you.. The blue color is no good, it throws everything off.

On a personal level, I have always favored painting inside of a personal house with milk color. My personal house is milk color for the whole house ( rooms, living room kitchen etc)

I think it makes the house looks neat and can blend with any tile or furniture your heart desires.

My opinion!!

Oga Spyder880, while I'm not an expert in colour combinations, I do get odd feelings when colours are shouting. For the dining area, if a shade of blue must be used at all, though it seems very off here, a very light version to blend with the coolness of the interior cream wound be bad.
And for the porch, I wouldn't be completely against the orange... Though I find it odd here as well. Lightening it up a bit towards very dilute pinkish may not be a bad idea. My wife is asleep, she might have helped with right names for those colours... I'm am sorry men still understand primary colours and their secondary derivatives only.
If you must ask me, I wouldn't try of any of these at home but I can experiment with the lighter, not so bright or shouting versions of these colours
