You should run a scan on the car and come back with the code. Are you using recommended tire size?

How did you calculate your fuel consumption?

thanks my broda. I scanned the car 7 wks ago. And it says multiple engine miss fire, temperature range deficiency, and knock sensor not detected .. that's all.
I
Then I went straight to a rewire and told him, he cleaned my trottle body, distribution cap, I changed to iridium plugs,
But my dear, there was no respite it solution to this.

Hahaha do you still have Misfire?
What were the exact codes you got from the scan
. Should be something like P****
Your tire change has a negative effect on your fuel economy too

ok if I may ask, is the odometer reading on a Honda in miles? Because it seems it is.
If it is then my car was doing 4.7miles per liter which translates to 7.54km per liter. I thinks it not too good even at this, I'm not consoled.

I checked it like this, ie is the MPG, I marked the line the fuel guage was upon before I filled with a specific amount.i then reset the odometer trip B. And with this I easily do an arithmetic when it guage comes back to that same point it was on before I refilled.

Yes

Yes

Is the bigger figure on your speedometer- miles/hr or Km/hr.. With that you know if your car is miles or kilometer

As for the MPG calculation.. I think you will get a more accurate value if you do it this way
1-Fill up your tank from low fuel warning light
2-Note the quantity of Fuel(either in litres or Gallon)
3-Reset your trip meter,
4-Drive till your low fuel warning light comes up.
MPG= trip meter value(miles) divided by the Quantity of fuel(gallon)
or
km/l = trip meter value(km) divided by the Quantity of Fuel(litre)

u try sha, but my method is:
note ur tank volume/size
locate a consistently accurate gas station
reset trip odometer, fill up tank from any level
drive and enjoy ur ride noting that ur next visit to the gas station will also be a fill up.
make sure u drive that car wella till reserve indicator lights up.
visit gas station and fill up.
note the litres it takes to do another fill up label that as X
note the trip reading on the odometer and label as Y
convert X to gallons, confirm Y is in miles else convert

MPG=Y/X

My method is, buy fuel put for gallon (10liters) drive till fuel finish (at you own risk), pour your 10liters reset counter to 0, drive till fuel finishes again (if you have sense keep extra gallon of fuel in boot) now calculate.

Logical method. However, the drawbacks of this method include:

- Spillage or evaporation of some of the fuel kept as backup will account for a false low value

- Accuracy of the 'ten litres' (volume) bought initially cannot be determined except measured by a standard calibrated container.

Might be safer to follow this: Once reserve light comes on, top up fuel with a known volume and drive till reserve light just comes on again, then calculate.

Regards!

I actually thought it was a 1.0liter nissan micra.

996km on 70liters in traffic is not possible on a 3.3liter engine.
Audi A4 B6 2.0. ALT. My traffic is virtually nonexistent. I didn't see the dolt on time. I knew he'd take the bait.

Mine method is to fill up bambam. Then drive around till empty with a keg of gasoline in the boot.

My problem with using the amber low fuel warning light is this.

In the old days fuel gauges (variable resistor plus floater bi-metalic strip current voltage) very basic stuff.
Gives exact readings of the volume of fuel in tank.

Newer fuel gauges don't work same way, sending unit goes to engine ecu, cluster receives information from ECU.

With this arrangement the fuel gauge is predictive, and can tell by your driving pattern, your DTCs, from coolant and air temp ......e.t.c the distance that can be covered by the volume of fuel in the tank.

the amber light will come on not necessarily based on volume of fuel, but based on other factors calculated by engine ecu.

ok then it means my car is doing 7.3km per liter

And for 70litres, it would go 529km.

Is that ok? Or it could get better? It's a 2.3L 5speed 4plug automatic SE Honda Accord 2002.
