Sowore is an unrepentant scammer. He knows he won't win but he can always get your monies through crowd funding.

At the end of the day, he remains a yahoo winner.

How many percentage of working class people do we have in Nigeria? Cut out executives expenditure on food and other irrelevant things, bring down the salaries of demerits and ministers, head of parastatals by 45%, block all loop-holes for corrupt politicians, my bro Nigeria would afford it with left overs.
Our president private jet stayed in Britain for 3month with evil and uncounted for spendings.
Presently the Labour group is fighting for minimum wage to be at 54,000,it can also stay at 100k.
2/3 of Nigeria’s workers work in private entities who caters for their salaries.
How many public workes do the government have to cater for in terms of salaries. Is there even Job to justify that this money won’t be enough.. bros government would pay this money and still pocket change
Oga give me state don't give me hear say

Presently our wage bill is 166bn a month that's at 18k minimum wage

Our total revenue is less than 5 trn
All our revenue can't even pay 6 months of 100k minimum wage

Bros, history have it that economics don’t work in Nigeria... when things go up in Nigeria, it keeps going up. The law of inflation and deflation hasn’t worked and still won’t work in Nigeria.
nope.. Laws of economics work everywhere.

Purchasing power goes hand in hand with currency power.
If you reduce the power of your currency, expect inflation, especially in import dependent economy..
And imported goods actually dictates the price of local goods.

E.g
in 2013 when naira was 150-180, the price of rice was around 8k
In 2016-17 when dollar was around 500 -560. Price of rice was around 18-20k
Now that the price of dollar is 360 price of rice is around 13k.

Did you see the correlation?

Make naira powerful again and watch price of things go down due yo competition.

Omoyele Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters who has expressed his interest in running for the presidency in 2019 general election has promised to raise the minimum wage for workers to N100, 000 if elected.

The former student leader and anti corruption activist who has been meeting Nigerians across the United States in furtherance of his presidential ambition said this in a post on his social media account on Monday morning.

He said, “Good morning Nigeria!
Our starting minimum wage for Nigerian workers will be N100,000, we can’t run a modern, efficient and corrupt-free civil service without proper remuneration.
Rest assured that we can afford it, we simply need to cut public waste and corruption by 20%, diversify our economy, collect taxes, excise and customs duties, stop giving out waivers to cronies…and many more strategies to be unveiled.”

Sowore had revealed yesterday that he already has people studying various sectors of the Nigerian economy to ensure he hits the ground running from the first day if he gets the mandate of Nigerians to be the next occupant of Aso Rock presidential villa.

But he has not indicated which of the over 60 political parties in Nigeria he will contest on.

We believe Igbo Presidency will fix Nigeria and give Igbos a greater sense of belonging in the Nigerian project.

There goes another idiot who thinks that the majority of Nigerians are MO.rons like him. How do you intend to raise the money to pay minimum wage of 100k,when a large chunk of our budget goes into debt servicing and recurrent expenditures where the senate and HOR alone, are taking almost 1/3 of the national budget?

Nigeria's minimum wages is 18% despite that kogi is paying civil servant 5% and nothing happen, how is he going to curb state governors excess as regard paying what favour their pocket no what's was given to them to pay....just emerging that as a citizens

Our politicians make us believe a paying 100,000 minimum wage is unsustainable but end up stealing Billion dollars.

Just so you know what the numbers are, the total number of Federal Civil Servants across the country is less than 100,000. How muck Dasuki misappropriated would have paid the annual salary of over 500,000 workers.

All i am saying is he should provide facts and not just mouthing off. mouthing off is what got us to where we are. let him put it on paper and prove it with real actual figures(which quite frankly he cant). i believe nigerians have learnt enough lessons to fall for such anymore. governance is not as straight forward as just 1 + 1 =2. if i am to follow your line of reasoning lets kukuma share nigeria's money since it runs into trillions and we are just a few hundred million or just print more money and share everybody.

You're conspicuously unlessoned about our constitution. The constitution never stated that if a tribe in an election, supports a certain candidate from a given tribe, in the next election the supporter would be supported. It's totally unconstitutional. Matter of constitution is never a case of quid pro quo. In your superficial thought, keep manipulating the credulous!

Increasing minimum wage to 100k would only make naira lose its value. Work on the purchasing power of naira instead

As usual, Nigerians will not think. A simple question in sane climes will be, does he have people working for him in Nigeria, gateman, driver etc? If yes is he paying any of them 100k or at least 20k more than the going rate for such jobs in the area? The earlier we start asking critical questions the better for us.

Between a Digital leader and an Analog leader... Sowore has my vote!
Let all these old men who are no longer in touch with the dizzying pace of technological advancement around the world, should go and take a deserve rest.
Nigeria can no longer continue to operate on analog gear.
Imagine the tears of joy flowing freely from Mo Ibrahim if Sowore is eventually sworn in as the president of Nigeria.

I already found Sowore’s campaign difficult to take seriously because of his lack of specifics, but now that he’s come out with such outlandish promises, I now have no doubt that Sowore brings nothing new and worthwhile to the table. He clearly lacks the first notion about economics, and he isn’t even aware enough of how little he knows to seek out experts who can help formulate sensible proposals; in what way is he then any better than the hopeless Buhari?

the aim shouldn't be to increase the minimum wage. it should be making the current minimum wage enough...

increase the minimum wage and price of everything will follow.
same way increasing our lowest denomination increased price of goods.
