Officially - No. But I was contacted yesterday by a Prof in Oil and Gas Engr who asked me to immediately change my course from Ocean Engr with graduate school ; that he would be reviewing my application as he sees I posses the relevant skills to work in his research group and that there is a high tendency that he wld be accepting me for Fall 2018. He further went ahead to tell me the specific area I would most likely be researching on - which I noticed is very connected to ocean engr and also my current job role - fingers crossed.

Any info from your end??

so you're switching from Ocean Engineering to oil and gas Engineering??

Good day house.
Please I sent my transcript for Evaluation few weeks ago when I was applying to a US school. Although that Evaluation isn't done yet, I want to apply for Canada permanent residency. Will I have to pay another Evaluation fee for the Express Entry?

They don't believe anything on your SOP except it is backed with sufficient evidence. You will only be preaching to the dead. All your explanations have to be convincing beyond the reasonable doubt. Personally never seen anyone going for a second first degree approved.

Ps: However bleak I have painted the chances of success, I can actually see someone who is going for a second first degree winning a visa. A situation where you studied something you didn't like, but want to go for something else tangible based on working experience. For example someone who studied fine arts and came out and landed a job with an environmental firm and became passionate in that field and wants to study more in that area. Going for graduate school directly wont be feasible in that case and doing a first degree and acquiring the necessary prerequisite, would be the only way to go. A second degree doesn't mean you will spend another four years. You spend only two years to get a second first degree and proceed to graduate school in the area of your new found interest.
Thanks guys for the contribution and the prophecy, I shall break record in this and come back to share my testimony..as I have already began the journey and can’t go back..God will do it..

kingfintan.

I made a research concerning your course.

Fanshawe
Algonquin
Conestoga
Mohawk
Loyalist &
Confederation. These colleges offer PGD in manufacturing engineering. And I think it's almost synonymous to production engineering.

Happy Sunday all..

Go to Children Practice hospital or any other hospital use by CIC to do a complete test for yourself (not for CIC).

When you get the result, you will know exactly what they will be submitting to CIC when you do an actual test for cic.

After you get the result, whatever decision you take is up to you.

Cc:adecoal

The best step here is to declare you were infected of TB in the past but now cured. Since, you're afraid to declare this to CIC, I think the answer from Twallace is the best answer here. Visit any accredited/recognized hospital by cic and complete this medicals for yourself there specifically just for the T.B prior submitting your application. This will give you a clear insight of what your medical result would be regarding the TB.

All the best!

Let us be honest.Forget PHD. U cant see PHD for 58%. Requirement for phd is at least 77% in most Canadian universities.last price for masters is 70%.Talk less of PHD..

You may try ur luck sir..

Hello House,

Please I want to apply for a study visa but my dad who is also my sponsor gave me his bank account statements which has little money in it.
But he has some treasury bills he gave to me that will mature next month and it's quite huge but he hasn't cashed on the money..

Pls will the VO use the treasury bills in place of his bank statement because there's really not much money in his statements of account

Henrykingiv,

Can this treasury bills be accessible and available to you during your studies in Canada? If YES, Explain and provide proof to the visa officer on how you intend to make use of this money and the possibility of cashing out this treasury bills during your stay in Canada. What a visa officer wants to see is funds availablity to applicant.

Again, it would be more safer/better if your dad can cash out this treasury bills and deposit it into his account, having his low available balance, reasons because a visa officer believes more on liquidated funds than funds held somewhere with restrictions.

All the best!
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 10:14pm On Apr 15, 2018
Sincerely. I don't know how to advice you concerning your academic profile.. Kus your chances of admission in extremely slim for masters. Not even talking of PHD..going to a college is totally zero. I won't advice you on that.. Except you wanna silent you Masters during Visa application. Put your age into consideration

2nd masters may not fly due to 58% u had in ur masters, even if you gain admission..gbege fit happen between you and V.O (purpose of visit) while there's no way for PHD. asin no way at all..

Boss..No disrespect nor discouragement. My advice

Trust me. But there's always a possibility..

@Mayboy, have you heard of Canada Express Entry? If you’ve not, you need to go and read about it immediately cos you are barely 12months away from being a permanent resident of Canada.
Your academic profile is great. All you need is to get a good score in IELTS. I also want to believe you have up to 2 years work experience. You have BSC and MSC. Bro/sis you will be in Canada by this time next year if you go for EE.

My little suggestion, it’s left to you to follow up. When you get to Canada you enroll for either MSC or PHD.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Abu46: 1:08am On Apr 16, 2018
My bro, given the time frame, wouldn't you advice i run the medical examination upfront?....
mcobex:

1. Both(online and paper are good) but if you have more documents to submit I will advise you use paper route as there is no limit to the amount of document to submit(unlike online whose maximum is around 4mb/segment). Another advantage of the paper route is you get to do your biometric same day unlike online when you will have to wait for invitation from cic to go for it at VFS. Also online is expensive due to exchange rate(though it is stress free as you can do everything in the comfort of your home as long as you have a scanner and internet).
2. Your uncle sponsoring you isn't a problem but as a third party(not your parents or sibling) the he will have to show commitment by paying the said amount he wants to spend on you into your account or better still pay for your tuition fee. Just his statement of account and letter of support wont be enough. Yes you need a letter from him(letter of support fully stating how much he is giving you and his reasons)
3. VFS office( I think it is located at Silverberg galleria ).
4. Yes the funding is an advantage as it helps saves cost. How much is your total tuition? subtract the $4000 from your tuition fee and living expenses( at least $10,000) to know the balance you have to source for from your sponsor
5. No issue to that as long as you submit copies of the affidavit and newspaper publication with your application
6. Medical is done by cic approved clinics/hospital and the fee is not included in your application fee. You should check cic site to know the clinics around your location(Abuja) then contact them to know the cost. You can do a medical before you submit your application then submit the medical form with your application and the clinic will send the result directly to cic or better still you apply without doing any medical then wait for cic to send you medical mail before going for it(it saves cost).
